02/10/2025: Excellent refuge and starting point for excursions

16/09/2025: My girlfriend and I ate here for lunch. For a refuge in a rather remote location, the quality of the food is high, the place is very welcoming, and all the staff are super kind and capable! I recommend putting a sign at the entrance on the restaurant's red awning because at first we didn't know where to go. The risotto I ate was a little overcooked, but that can happen. The speck is amazing! The kitchen closes at 2:30 PM, and I highly recommend: if you're passing by, first take a nice walk to the Prese Lake, so you can arrive there hungry and enjoy a delicious "rustegot" 👍😉

01/12/2025: The most good pizza that i’ve eated. The combinition of flavor of the onion with the cheese is perfect! Staff very kind.

13/10/2025: What a hotel! We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon, and from the moment we arrived it was absolutely stunning. We were greeted and shown around and given the choice of 2 rooms which was such a pleasant surprise but a tough choice! The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking and we never tired of it - waking up in the morning to the Dolomites was something else and seeing the silhouette of the moon was equally as impressive. The location is great for various ski lifts as well as numerous hikes. Just as impressive as the view has to be the food that's served as part of the half board. Everything that is served is fresh, tasteful and so well presented, it's safe to say this was our favourite place we ate on our honeymoon. There was a choice each night of a meat, fish or vegetable option so you could always be happy with what you were getting. One day we will be back as the service, views, food and room were all second to none and we absolutely loved our stay!

10/09/2025: This is a small, family-run hotel with a good number of facilities but stunning views of the mountains. As with most families, we stayed half-board and it was great. I'm a somewhat fussy eater but when a dish contained something I didn't like (coffee or celery for example) they could exclude it. The Michelin chef clearly knows their stuff as every dish was delicious, if not a little fussy. The menu changes each night. Breakfast was a served buffet affair and absolutely fine for what it is. We had a junior suite on the top floor and although we suffered a fair number of bangs to the head (being well over 6' doesn't help) the room was lovely. We didn't draw the curtains as waking up to the mountain view cannot be beaten. The town has a few cafés and restaurants if you are looking for a meal away from the hotel. It's a 100m climb (around 2km to the centre) but a fairly gentle slope up. Would happily stay here again and indeed plan to.

06/10/2025: We only stopped for a short break during the Sasso Lungo/Sasso Piatto loop. The view is truly fantastic. It's worth stopping just to enjoy the view. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed with the pretzel I ordered. It was probably frozen and they microwaved it for too long or at the wrong power. The fact is, it was burned inside in some places and toasted in others.

23/09/2025: A nice place, for food I had tagliatelle with ragù cut with a knife, but they were normal egg tagliatelle, I didn't say anything... it was enough to say it... for the rest the view of the Dolomites is a spectacle

18/09/2025: Stop before heading home for a dessert. Slightly off the beaten path but still close to the funicular, a quiet spot with a few outdoor tables and a lounge area for relaxing with a mountain view. Service was by helpful, friendly staff. I enjoyed a special dessert—I don't remember the German name—it was a sweet omelette, accompanied by fresh fruit and homemade jam. Everything was delicious! A nice glass of apple juice...

07/11/2025: We stopped here while driving towards Austria. We had a good pizza and paid a fair price. Pizza here is very thin and if you are hungry you might need to get two. The venue is very simple, you can either eat your pizza there to take it away.

06/10/2025: Excellent restaurant...as recommended, we reached the farm from the center of San Giovanni, not from small roads suitable for bicycles, as the GPS suggested. An experience worth repeating.

30/09/2025: Stop by for lunch! Excellent menu, especially the off-menu venison with polenta and sauerkraut, which was plentiful! Fast, efficient service!

01/10/2025: Unfortunately, there was no mention of the hut being closed on the signs or in the towns. It was sobering to see this after a long journey there... At the time of planning a few days earlier, there was no mention of it on Google.

13/09/2025: On our hike from Ruffré to the Mendel Pass, we first passed the fairly busy Halbweg Hut. We then decided to continue a bit further to the Enzian Hut, and our decision was absolutely right. There, we received a very friendly welcome and were able to enjoy the fantastic food in peace. We also had a delicious elderflower spritzer made from homemade elderflower syrup. Highly recommended!

24/10/2025: A quiet place and a magical view. A treat we should all treat ourselves to, for the pleasure of eating well.

05/10/2025: We only stated for dinner and it was a culinary treat. The menu, based almost only in local fresh ingredients, changes on a monthly base and it is never obvious nor commonplace. Both the entree - honeydew melon, cucumber and cranberry in a sweet sauce of apple and celery - as well as the blueberry risotto and the light fried zucchini with pesto and burrata were inventive dishes, carefully blending different flavors for a great result. We’ll be back for the next menu !

15/11/2025: Beautiful restaurant, the food is truly delicious. Very courteous and professional staff. The entrance is beautiful. Compliments to the truly friendly owner. I will definitely be back.
