24/08/2025: Terrible experience. We stopped for coffee on a Sunday afternoon. The town was deserted, and that alone should have put us off. We went inside because the shaded tables were occupied. No one moved, no one at the counter. After 10 minutes, the ladies sitting outside left angrily. We took seats in the shade. The barista arrived, and we asked for two portions of chocolate ice cream (1 scoop) with decaf coffee. A few minutes passed, and two glasses of vanilla ice cream and coffee arrived. We pointed out that it was chocolate. He came back in and after a few minutes came out with a glass: I only have one chocolate scoop, should I leave it like that? Moral of the story: €4.50 for half a scoop of cheap chocolate and a coffee, which we'll never know if it's decaf or not...

02/10/2025: Delicious cake, great terrace. Disagreements among the staff are noticeable to guests. Right on the Marlinger Waalweg (Waal Trail).

29/09/2025: We stopped here as a stop on our hike. Down the path, there's a sign pointing to a restroom. We would have liked another drink, but since our first stop was the restroom, the waiter rudely informed us that it was for guests only. In such an atmosphere, we were happy to forgo our beer and moved on to the next restaurant. Therefore, I can't comment on the quality of the food and drink. A quick tip: Please write it directly on the sign below.

11/07/2025: We got a seat quickly, but then were ignored for over 30 minutes. The drinks and food were very good. A little tip: Don't sit in the quiet booth where no one can see you.

04/10/2025: We didn't have to wait long for service, but there were only three tables occupied. Without having been given a menu, we were immediately asked what we wanted. When we asked for Kaiserschmarren, we were told it wasn't available (even though it was clearly visible on the advertisement at the ski lift and on the stairs to the restrooms). When we asked—still without a menu—what was available, we were annoyed and told that she would have to see what was left (it was 3 p.m.). But she didn't even look, but simply said we could have Strauben. Since Strauben isn't our thing, we stuck with the drinks. After no one came to check out, we paid inside, but didn't even get an apology. My tip: Walk a few hundred meters further; at the next alpine pasture, we were thankfully served warmly, given a menu, and everything we wanted.

04/10/2025: A lovely hut in itself. Kaiserschmarrn isn't usually available at lunchtime. So we left the wonderful hut a bit further away to enjoy dessert at the Laab Hut after 2 p.m. The waitress came to the table without a menu, so we ordered drinks by guessing what was on offer. There was no food at all, even though it's advertised everywhere. So we had to get a drink and then quickly left, but no one came. So we went inside to pay, where the guests were charged like at a snack bar. Bad service, no food—what more could you want at an alpine hut?

12/10/2025: Great steak in town! Open on Sunday and parking just across the street We had Picanha steak and it was great comes with good smoke aroma Ribs were ginormous and tasted great? (A bit too salty but overall was fine) Great for dinner during the dolomite trips and hikes Loaded protein and good wine

11/10/2025: I went there on a recommendation from my accommodation. The steak was delicious, and they even brought me a hot stone to cook the meat on, which was perfect. The seafood pasta was also delicious and generous.

14/10/2025: Over the past few years, I've always stopped at this restaurant, and I've always had a good experience. Unfortunately, this last time I ate a wine snietzel for the modest sum of 23 euros, perhaps the worst meal I've had in the South so far. I'll make sure not to return. I'm sorry, because it was a regular spot for me.
