20/05/2026: Went there for lunch only, very friendly, small but good selection, good wine pairings, quaint atmosphere.

14/05/2026: This is the ideal perch to explore the highlights of Tuscany from. The rooms are clean and budget friendly, excellent value, but what really stands out is the service. Carolina was so helpful on everything from sight seeing to parking logistics. She made us feel like family. Oh and never skip the breakfast. It is quite a spread. 10/10 would stay here again.

30/04/2026: Let's begin with the positives. It's a nice place with clean rooms, proficient staff and a fast kitchen. Now for the one big negative: the food. I ordered three different items, some xiaolongbao, some spicy wontons, and some eggplant. Not a single one of them was properly done. Don't get me wrong, they weren't "bad" in the sense you would regret eating them, but they were all very middling versions of what they could have been. The xiaolongbao were dry and small, the spicy sauce was not spicy at all and instead was simply a blend of soy sauce, oil, and the mildest chilli flakes I've ever tasted, and the eggplant was served BOILING hot in a thin and deep plate which kept it boiling hot the whole time, so that I would have to fetch the individual strips of eggplant and wait minutes before biting into each as not to burn my mouth! All in all I can only recommend this place for first dates you want to ditch on. Pic shows the supposedly "spicy" sauce.

06/05/2026: A perfect experience in every way. First of all, the location is excellent, just outside Siena, surrounded by greenery and a beautiful lawn with olive trees. The decor is also beautiful, unique and thoughtful. Both the service and the food were excellent. As non-meat eaters, we greatly appreciated the truly delicious vegan options on the menu. 15/04/2026: Already highly rated. Excellent in creativity, it's located in a wonderful setting with a garden full of olive trees, perfect for enjoying the excellent aperitifs offered while enjoying a breathtaking view, stunning in all seasons.

05/01/2026: Good place for a quick lunch or aperitivo. They don’t serve cooked dishes ‘like pasta’. Had a plate with a variety of pecorino cheese with ricotta, but that was it. Me and my husband had both the ‘vegetables’ but arrived some preserved like zucchini’s, beets and artichokes. I think their price is expensive in proportion of what we ate. All of the above, €51 with 2 glasses of wine.

19/05/2026: A lovely interior for breakfast. The pastries are excellent, especially the baked goods. The staff is friendly and efficient. The coffee isn't exactly cheap, but it's good. The teas are fantastic.

09/06/2026: This place could use a good refresh, as the spaces and rooms clearly reflect the passing of time. The furnishings are dated, and the rooms now look run-down. At the spa, where silence is required and smoking is prohibited, a lady entertained us for HOURS by talking at the top of her voice on her cell phone, using the speakerphone. After all the guests had waited too long, the staff was called, but they were unable to silence the aforementioned "lady." Instead, with uncontrollable rudeness, she attacked everyone present with tantrums and sarcasm. We had to leave the common areas, as it was impossible to experience the peace and quiet we had come for, and unfortunately, the staff failed to enforce the rules the facility itself has imposed. In fact, the lady remained blissfully in the pool, disturbing everyone's tranquility, taunting anyone who criticized her. Meanwhile, her husband was happily smoking in the space where the NO SMOKING SIGN kept the other (useless) silence company. We had to forgo some healthy relaxation (which comes at a high price), and unfortunately, our short vacation, which was intended for just that, was ruined. In the square in front of the entrance, we also saw children playing ball, and frankly, it didn't seem like a suitable environment for such an activity. If you're looking for peace and relaxation, I sincerely advise against it. It's a shame because the place has a truly remarkable view, and the spa staff were truly professional.

07/06/2026: Fantastic experience. From the moment you walk through the elegant gates, you'll realize that every guest is at the center of attention here. Plenty of pampering and attention make your stay magical. Every member of the staff works to make your holiday special and feels truly at home here. The treatments available are cutting-edge. I personally had the intensive biocast, and it was truly exceptional. A tangible result, in addition to the health benefits. Giulia, the person in charge of the treatment, was superb, gentle, and an excellent professional. We will definitely return to enjoy this paradise again.

20/05/2026: The pastries looked great and portions were generous, but the experience was mixed. The croissants were good overall, although the pistachio one was a bit too sweet for my taste. The pain au chocolat was disappointing unfortunately : the chocolate filling already tasted very sugary, and the extra glaze on top made it feel like sugar added onto more sugar, which became quite overwhelming. At 2€ for a pain au chocolat that mostly tastes like sugar… a bit disappointing honestly. Still, the staff was pleasant and the products looked fresh.

02/05/2026: Two days of motorcycle touring throughout the beautiful Tuscan countryside, combined with two evenings of fine dining in the cheerful company of the unsurpassed staff at Locanda di Berto e Giangio. This is my perfect combination for unwinding from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and recharging body, mind, and spirit. I highly recommend this inn to lovers of good traditional cuisine enhanced by the warm hospitality of its staff. My personal go-to for Colle Val d'Elsa and the surrounding area. Ale.
