14/08/2024: Our agriturismo host had this restaurant on his list of recommendations. We ate there in April 2023. The town was super quiet, almost no one around except a teen and his grandmother. A sweet and efficient older man and his wife work here along with an outdoor cat. The food was very tasty and we had such a nice experience. I don’t think I would drive here from another town but it was very special. We had the whole restaurant, and the whole town, to ourselves. A very nice core memory for my teen son. Later that night we ordered some food for delivery, and lo and behold, it was the same nice man who delivered our order.

03/08/2024: Restaurant at the entrance to the historic center of Monticchiello. The free parking lot at the entrance to the town is small and usually full, so you have to park in the lower area and go up a steep hill because the entire town is ZTL. Spectacular views from the terrace, where they kindly provided us with a table for our large group. The service is very top. Regarding the food, there is nothing that was particularly bad, but nothing was particularly good either. In our case, there has not been a good quality-price ratio, I suppose it is more a place for tapas and drinks than for eating with the family. If this is your case, look for other options.

09/08/2024: Characteristic location, small but well organised. Good food, higher quality than most restaurants in that area, but nothing particularly exciting. I greatly appreciated the professionalism of the person who goes around the tables and prepares the accounts. Too bad about the lack of air conditioning, it was very hot inside.

26/05/2024: Le paste del signor Barone non si discutono! Buonissime davvero! Mi dispiace per il personale addetto al bancone che si interscambia dalla cassa , toccando soldi sporchi, alla distribuzione delle paste prendendole con le mani per spostarle da un vassoio all'altro....mi fa pensare a poca accortezza per la pulizia. Per non parlare della scortesia che hanno nel rivolgersi al cliente . Siccome la produzione e è ottima consiglio di investire sul personale!

02/09/2024: One of the best in Siena. Very good quality and great variety of breakfast pastries, mini cakes and savory products. The coffee and cappuccino are excellent. Plenty of seating in a welcoming atmosphere. Friendly and kind staff, always smiling. What more could you want from a pastry shop? The only negative note is that if you come by car it is difficult to find parking, there are paid parking spaces 20 meters away at €1.50/h.

07/08/2024: An excellent dinner… This restaurant is very nice and well-kept, the staff in the dining room are always attentive, kind and never intrusive. Let's start with some truly delicious fish appetizers to end the dinner with the second courses, fried fish cooked very well, turbot with caramelized onion? winning pairing Excellent quality raw materials...!!!

01/08/2024: We went for lunch for a birthday, the place is in good condition and well-kept, with references to marine environments. We opted for a seafood menu, the starters were a seafood salad that was too crunchy and not very tender and decidedly acidic, the creamed cod and only one mussel were very good. We chose three first courses with normal lobster, the calamari and prawn risotto creamed with cream (they say it is one of their specialities), the Venere rice with seafood, the best dish of the three. The grilled seafood where the cuttlefish was quite raw, the swordfish was cheap, and the prawns grilled without shell but with the intestines, same fate for the fried prawns with the intestines, to conclude the fried cod which was decidedly not fresh and stringy. I am very disappointed by the average quality of the fish given that it presents itself as a fish specialty restaurant and also by the very limited choice of wine list. I remind you not to have coffee! Cuisine and service are sacred and therefore mastery, love, ability and common sense are needed in pursuing a restaurant business and in recognizing the quality of the raw material. This review is an incentive to improve the service and quality offered so as not to forget the objective of catering, that is, eating well and making people feel good is the art of hospitality. 23/08/2024: We came here with the desire to eat a good Florentine steak and we left with the desire to eat a good Florentine steak. We expected something more! Unfortunately our expectations were not met, meat was normal, nothing unforgettable, even a little burnt, too bad! The cost is absolutely not worth the experience. On the other hand, friendly service and a nice place.

23/08/2024: I really love the food, the place is not bad but the one thing that I didn't like was the glass of wine I ordered (it was like ⅛ of the glass only) it's was like a shot of wine lol.

06/07/2024: Best vegterian/vegan restaurant in Tuscany/Italy?! We found it by coincidence and stayed in the end for 2 dinners. Awesome experience, as it is a 5 course tasting menu, and the menu is not known until the plates are brought to youd table. (Nearly?) Everything is organic and the vegetables/fruits are grown in the owner‘s garden and only seasonal igredients are used. The menu changes every day and costs 48€/per person. We had two wonderful dinners, as you can start having a drink in the beautiful garden with a view over the vinyards and olive trees. The staff is LOVELY!! Such a heartwarming team! If you friendly ask, you can even charge your electric car. We‘ll definitely come back BUT this time we‘ll stay in one of the rooms for a couple of nights, as the hotel looks fabulous!😊

10/06/2024: We were excited about a 5 course vegetarian eating menu since I am vegetarian and were unfortunately disappointed. Of the 3 courses, 3 were mostly starches: a bread course, a rice course, and a potato course. The others were a cucumber soup and a sorbet for desert. There were a few vegetables in the preparations but barely any and the sauce on the rice and potatoes didn't have much taste or taste particularly good. I ended up leaving a lot the food over. I'm a small eater and yet I was hungry and had a snack when we got back to our hotel. There were little or no nuts or beans either, which I would expect with a vegan meal. From the other reviews here, I imagine that there are more vegetables on other nights, but I would not give the place another try.

01/08/2024: You can drink a super cappuccino at Tiffany's, even at lunch you can eat very well because the cook really knows how to do something really good.
