29/05/2026: We stopped at this pleasant osteria during a bike ride with my friends along the Eroica route. The osteria is located in a small wood and is very intimate, ideal for those of us who cycle through these magnificent areas of Tuscany. Excellent food, excellent service, and moderate prices. Recommended.

13/05/2026: Yesterday was one of those rare afternoons that reminds you why travel is one of life's greatest gifts. We spent it at the breathtaking Borgo San Felice, nestled in the rolling hills of Chianti, surrounded by some close friends visiting from California. The afternoon began with a Tuscan experience tour that led us through centuries of winemaking history, the earthy perfume of the cellar, and a wine tasting that turned into a masterclass in why this corner of the world is simply unmatched. Glass by glass, the landscape seemed to pour itself into every sip, and we laughed some more 😂🍷 As the sun began to set, we made our way to dinner at Osteria il Grigio, where the Michelin-star team had prepared something truly special: several magnificent bistecca Fiorentina, cooked with the kind of confidence and quiet mastery that only comes from decades of devotion to the craft. The beef was extraordinary charred, perfumed with rosemary, impossibly tender, and paired with a Brunello di Montalcino, it was almost too good to be true. What made the whole day unforgettable, though, wasn't just the wine or the food, it was sharing it all with people you love, laughing across the table for several hours echoing within the ancient stone walls of the borgo. Tuscany has a way of slowing time, and that night it stopped altogether.
08/05/2026: A total disappointment. The village where Osteria il Grigio is located is very beautiful and picturesque, but that wasn't enough to save the "bad" evening I enjoyed with my friends (there were nine of us). We arrived at 8:42 PM, 12 minutes late for our 8:30 PM reservation, but to be fair, we called in the car and let them know we were slightly late. We arrived and saw our table set inside a veranda packed with people, with all the heating on, so much so that it was suffocating. I went to ask the manager to at least turn off the heat lamps above our table, but he gave me a response that was unbecoming of someone who should be looking after the restaurant's best interests and trying to accommodate customers. But let's leave the details aside and get to the food. We had a platter of cured meats and cheeses and a steak, all shared plates at the center of the table. Twenty minutes later, these platters of discounted cured meats and cheeses arrived (with all due respect to discounters). The meat arrived after over an hour, and the manager, instead of worrying about the delay, was sitting comfortably behind me eating and drinking with a table of over twenty people. In any case, we got up at almost 11:00 PM, so two hours and 15 minutes for a mediocre platter and two pieces of meat. I find this unacceptable! And so were the prices: €95 per person, excluding drinks, for a dinner (let's call it that) to forget. Michelin-starred prices, but the quality and ambience are among the worst osterias. I would recommend lowering your expectations, and if you want to reach these numbers, put more kitchen staff in the kitchen. Otherwise, if you can't manage, don't take all those reservations. With what you're charging people, you can afford to book a few fewer tables. An experience to forget. The only positive thing was the wine, Vigorello, which is always good.

09/06/2025: Purtroppo non ho avuto il 'piacere' di soggiornare qui. Questo grazie alla infantile non professionalità di chi ha risposto al telefono per prendere la prenotazione: essendo quest'ultima impegnata in un "check-out di un matrimonio" (legittimissimo), mi è stato detto di inviare una mail per prenotare, e che intanto la prenotazione per quella notte (a prezzo doppio concordato, visto l'affluenza prevista) mi sarebbe stata bloccata. Immediatamente invio la suddetta mail, il tutto per vedermi rispondere il giorno dopo che non c'è disponibilità. Alla mia richiesta di spiegazioni per telefono, mi è stato risposto male e mi è stata addirittura data la colpa a me. Inconcepibile. Alla signora che mi ha risposto: Impari a rispettare i suoi interlocutori e soprattutto a riconoscere i propri errori, sarebbe bastata una richiesta di scuse.
26/04/2025: Ho trovato il prezzo elevato per quello che offre: 150€ al giorno la camera per due con colazione. Pulizia camera sufficiente, frigor e cucinotto non adeguato (era una “suite” ma solo di nome, di fatto una camera con mobili tarlati e polvere) Ho cenato nel ristorante della struttura e la “Fiorentina” a 65€/kg costa più che a Milano. Servita fredda l’ho fatta riscaldare altrimenti faceva senso. Due camerieri assolutamente tonti e impreparati: 2 ore seduti per un antipasto e la fiorentina, alla rimostranza che la carne era fredda ha risposto che loro la servono così! Fattoria solo di nome, non abbiamo visto nessun animale da fattoria se non due cani L’ottima idea di aver inventato gli agriturismi per recuperare cascine abbandonate e rivitalizzare l’agricoltura km 0 ormai è superata da: “caccia al turista” o “mattanza” Peccato
