Pasticceria Peccati Di Gola Di Antonino Betti In Siena

The pastries looked great and portions were generous, but the experience was mixed. The croissants were good overall, although the pistachio one was a bit too sweet for my taste. The pain au chocolat was disappointing unfortunately : the chocolate filling already tasted very sugary, and the extra glaze on top made it feel like sugar added onto more sugar, which became quite overwhelming. At 2€ for a pain au chocolat that mostly tastes like sugar… a bit disappointing honestly. Still, the staff was pleasant and the products looked fresh.

A truly exceptional pastry shop

While passing through Siena, this pastry shop was near our accommodation. A real surprise... everything was excellent! The breakfast pastries were delicious; we even tried a Chantilly éclair and could have eaten 10 more! The blonde lady at the counter was super friendly. Definitely worth a try!

We visited them 4 times when my fiancée and I were in Siena; their desserts are delicious and their service to tourists is excellent.

I take the family to Peccati di Gola every Sunday morning for breakfast. They have the best pastries in Siena, and in my opinion, the staff is friendly and helpful.
