14/11/2025: By far the best pizza of our entire Sicily trip! We spent two weeks traveling around Sicily – in Palermo, Catania, Syracuse, Taormina, Ragusa, and Noto – and not a single pizza even came close to this one. Acido Lattico was an absolute highlight for us: incredibly delicious, perfectly baked, fantastic ingredients, and a dough that's simply heavenly. It was so good that at the end of our vacation, we drove all the way back to Catania just to eat pizza there again. That pretty much says it all. Our highest recommendation and a clear 5 stars!

03/11/2025: I decided to spend my birthday evening with some friends here. It was a super pleasant evening. The service and staff were excellent! And what can I say about the food, it was delicious!

07/11/2025: Bar Pasticceria Dalli became our go-to spot while staying in Mascali, just a short 5-minute drive from our agriturismo. This is a quintessential Sicilian cafe experience. Authentic Atmosphere: The place is typically Sicilian, filled with local people sitting, chatting, and warmly greeting newcomers. It immediately made us feel welcomed into the local community. Top-Tier Coffee: Most importantly, they serve excellent espresso. My husband was so impressed by the quality that he made it his mission to go there twice a day to grab his essential daily input of espresso! The service is fast and friendly, and it's the perfect place to start your morning or pop in for a midday recharge. If you are staying in the Mascali area, skip the tourist spots and grab your coffee here for a genuine local experience

11/11/2025: Overall, it was decent.... unfortunately, they don't have a menu with prices... they advise you, and in the end, the bill is a surprise. I would recommend preparing a menu for the kitchen. You can find the pizza menu online, though. It would be nice to have both in paper form.

02/11/2025: We arrived at lunchtime and were informed that there was no menu at that time and that the dishes changed daily. Furthermore, the prices weren't indicated. Regarding the menu changes, I don't think that's entirely true, as looking through the reviews, everyone ordered the same thing (pistachio ravioli, tomato pasta, and Etna mushrooms). The service was super friendly, but we felt a bit uneasy not knowing what the final bill would be. Ultimately, the food was okay, and for two pasta dishes, a starter, and water, we paid €50, which seems quite a lot for this level of place and food.

06/10/2025: Overpriced calamari. Not enough toppings on the salads , just too many leaves. Side salad for the calamari didn't come, when I asked for it, they brought leftovers from the other salad ordered (there was literally a small chicken piece from the other salad in it). There was a random old burnt fry(?) in the chicken salad. Left the wine list and said she would come back without explaining that there was only one option for wine by the glass. 25 minutes before we even got drinks. Tuna millefoglie and desserts were good.

04/10/2025: Nestled in the village of Acicastello, where you can breathe in the sea air and enjoy the delicious local dishes... Excellent service, even more attentive and available to meet every customer request.

25/08/2025: The tastiest desserts in town!! The cannoli, brioche, and almond paste pastries are simply amazing!! The ricotta in the cannoli is exquisite. The owners are incredibly kind. Highly recommended!!

09/10/2025: A great place with excellent food. Its biggest advantage: you can enjoy a hot dinner before 7 p.m. I recommend stopping by after a day hiking the slopes of Mount Etna.

11/09/2025: A charming place located in one of the city's central areas. Not too big, they also offer outdoor seating in the summer. The ingredients are fresh, the salads are plentiful, and the sandwiches are satisfying. The prices are average, considering Catania isn't known for its low prices, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The place is well-kept and has a focus on charming details, including books and a small stand with used clothing. The menu is printed on paper and pasted inside an old novel. The waiter even notes your table on a piece of recycled paper. These are small details that are definitely worth noting. I recommend booking because the kitchen closes at 2:30 PM if there's no one waiting.

26/08/2025: August 26, 2025, we stumbled upon it by chance, and it truly was a stroke of luck. If you're looking for unusual salads that are beautiful to look at and, above all, delicious to eat, this is the place for you. Excellent value for money.

05/11/2025: As the final stop on our tourist and culinary journey here in Sicily, we couldn't miss yet another dessert binge. Thanks to these delicacies, we skipped lunch and only had a sandwich at the airport for dinner. There were also several savory options, but we preferred to stick to leavened and, of course, fried desserts. I may have a sweet tooth, but everything was delicious. I recommend it to anyone who isn't on a diet!

04/11/2025: I don't know if you're in Catania, but there's a pastry shop with better products than the ones I've eaten here. It's impossible not to try a little bit of everything.
