I tried the arancini here in a couple of different flavors, and the Sicilian cannoli... both delicious, and reasonably priced considering it's in the center.

The arancini (I recommend the eggplant one) and cassatelle are delicious. It's a shame about the interminable wait and the bathrooms aren't very clean.

BEAUTIFUL PLACE, the staff, waiters, etc., are very good and professional, top location, but, I must point out: "the granita is excellent, here in Catania you can't go wrong and served at the table at this price (3.50) it's very fair, but I CANNOT pay 2.50 euros for a simple caffè corretto with a little sambuca at the counter!!! In Emilia Romagna a caffè corretto with a larger quantity of sambuca never exceeds 2.20 or 2 euros at the counter. 2.50 at the counter in Catania? No, come on, here you can improve. I'm sure you'll understand.

For me, a true Catanese, this is my place for arancini. Special and delicious. It will always remind me of my beloved father, who was madly in love with Sawia's arancini, which for him were so much more than just a piece of Catanian delicacy. I am fortunate and honored to live near this legendary pastry shop.

More than a pastry shop, it's a genuine and versatile place where you can sample every delicacy in Catania. For lunch with excellent arancini and other savory treats, for a power snack with marzipan, cannoli, and cassata, or for an aperitif or after-dinner treat with delicious granitas. Cesare, who served us, was fast, friendly, and extremely helpful. In short, we hit the mark when we walked into this place!

Excellent pastries; we had breakfast there every day. The waiter, Rosario, was very good and kind, as was the cashier, Rossella. Highly recommended.
