11/10/2025: Maurizio was very kind and welcoming. The caponata was the best I've tasted in the Aeolian Islands, and the stuffed squid with sauce was wonderful! Thank you.

05/10/2025: For the owner alone this restaurant is worth a visit. Such a lovely and engaging man, who spoke Italian, English and German with us. The food is delicious and though on the pricier side, portion size and quality justify it. We had the best seafood noodles here. (Sadly I only have a photo of the empty shells)

21/08/2025: I've never been to this place before; I went for the first time yesterday for my brother's birthday. I was enchanted by the place and the friendliness and hospitality of the staff. Delicious pizzas and excellent service!! Plus, they have disabled access to the pool, something almost no one else has. I'll definitely be back, and kudos to those who run it.

07/09/2025: This is our second time ordering takeout pizza. The quality of the pizza is above average, with excellent ingredients and dough. We'll definitely be back.

19/08/2025: The lousy welcome from a restaurant employee immediately put us off dining there, even though we had just booked and our three children were quite hungry. His welcome consisted of a series of scoldings for us and our two-year-old son, as if we were schoolchildren to be scolded for having dared to enter the restaurant without his permission, and he told our son, who had approached a table, not to make a mess. The owner of the restaurant (or someone acting on his behalf), when I asked him what had happened, didn't bother asking us until I reminded him that I would be leaving a review. Only then, after listening distractedly, primarily concerned that we wouldn't disturb the other customers, did he apologize. Too late. I've been frequenting restaurants of all kinds and levels, all over the world, for at least thirty-five years, as has my wife: we'd never experienced such a welcome before.

29/04/2025: Definitely overpriced restaurant for what it offers. I went for dinner on Sunday evening, most of the dishes on the menu were not available. I had a mixed grill of meat but it was tough and stringy. I wanted a mixed salad, but I had to settle for a radicchio salad as they had nothing else... Charging €17 for a rather poor fried calamari served as an appetizer seemed really excessive to me!

16/03/2025: The place has a pleasant appearance, with exposed stone walls and a sense of order and cleanliness. Dinner was a bit of a surprise; we wanted to order meat dishes, as described on the menu, but there wasn't enough for four people, and we were told they mainly make pizzas. The Argentine Angus beef that was available was served, but it was cold and didn't show off its best qualities. What a shame.

27/08/2025: We waited an hour for three identical pasta dishes... And since we were in a hurry, we were particularly annoyed when we waited another 10 minutes after being told the dishes were coming out. Plus, the place was almost empty, so I can't imagine the wait on a holiday. I'm not giving it one star because the food wasn't completely awful, but €50 is definitely too much for what we got.

17/09/2025: I had the pleasure of stopping by Bar Pasticceria Messina both for breakfast and lunch, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience each time. Breakfast was rich and delicious, with freshly made pastries and a perfectly brewed coffee. Lunch was just as impressive, with well-prepared and flavorful dishes that exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is attentive and friendly, and you can truly feel the warmth of Sicilian hospitality. Next time I’m in Messina, this will definitely be a must-stop spot!

21/09/2025: A place to avoid, especially for tourists. Two of us arrived spontaneously in the evening and were seated at a table right by the grill, but didn't really want to ask for a different table, as the demeanor of all the waiters was rather unpleasant. The quick order-taking was a positive, but then things took their course... The bread brought to the table was black and not really edible. The pistachio meatballs one of us ate were undercooked and partly raw. The second person, who ordered a pizza, was given an empty plate without notice, apparently so they could have their hands on the meatballs. The pizza we ordered didn't arrive until a waiter noticed (after 15 minutes) that only one person at the table was eating and the other was waiting. We were told the pizza was already in the oven, another 10 minutes passed, and in the end, it wasn't even the right pizza (but we wanted to avoid arguments with the already shouting and irritated waiters), and on top of that, it was soaked in oil. Luckily, paying went quite quickly and without any problems, and we were able to leave the unpleasant atmosphere.

20/09/2025: Excellent food cooked to order on the grill. Superb horse meatballs. Helpful staff. It's located on the road with heavy traffic, but the good food makes up for it. I recommend it 😊

14/06/2025: Anche per un pranzo veloce prima di mettersi in viaggio, Davide è una scelta con cui si va sul sicuro! Panini, pizza fritta, cuoppo...tutto eccellente e con un rapporto qualità prezzo imbattibile, oltre al servizio inappuntabile.

22/08/2025: Constant favoritism toward friends and acquaintances who show up after you. They're served first at rock-bottom prices. And you, who bring the tourist's money (money more important than that spent by fellow Mazarese citizens because it contributes to Sicily's development), are left aside because you're less important than them. An event I'll never forget.... A guy walks in.... "Ammunì, make me a sandwich" he walks past me, gets served.... scandalous...

20/08/2025: During the holidays, I went to this deli to get a couple of sandwiches. After ordering (let me start by saying it was takeout and there was no one before me), I found myself waiting for about an hour because, in the meantime, those who ordered later were served first, with lots of hugs and kisses and discounts (they were paying ridiculous amounts, the first time I've seen two prices and two sizes). What can I say? If you don't know anyone, you get served badly and last. To say it's uncivilized is an understatement! I was shocked! Small numbers exist everywhere.

15/06/2025: Siamo stati in cinque a cena e ci siamo trovati molto bene. Il ristorante è molto grande all’esterno e, nonostante ci fossero due feste di comunione in corso contemporaneamente, i camerieri sono stati sempre attenti e organizzati. Il cibo era ottimo e il rapporto qualità-prezzo davvero buono. Ci torneremo sicuramente!

31/07/2025: Qui ero un po’ indubbio direi una media fra 3 e 4… la location è top sul mare vista su una delle spiagge più belle di Lampedusa però il primo piatto ci ha deluso… penne alla lampedusana che sembravano precorri . Il tonno alla brontolona xo perfetto cotto in maniera impeccabile . Prezzi in linea.

31/08/2025: We had lunch here today. The menu had several options, but we opted for simple pizzas and a portion of fries as an appetizer. The service was good and fast...I'd almost say too fast, because the fries and pizzas arrived almost simultaneously (less than two minutes between the fries and pizzas). So we had to eat the fries quickly to keep the pizza from getting cold. Overall, the place and food were good. If you're short on time, this is definitely the place for you.
