18/07/2024: We ordered a personalized cake to celebrate a birthday. The treatment was very correct and friendly. The cake was delicious, although it lived up to the name of the place and was very sweet (which shouldn't be a disappointment). The only negative thing was that the price seemed a little high for what we were used to in Catania.

14/07/2024: Terrible experience and rudeness on the part of the manager, on the day of my eighteenth I asked for a photo of the cake to check that everything was as I wanted, as soon as I received it I realized that the cake was white and not beige as I had asked for and I had also asked to apply gold leaf and I had also sent a photo of the effect I wanted to obtain, I found splashes of gold dye on the cake so I decided to call immediately to explain the problem. In response the owner rudely and rudely told me that the cake was beautiful and in the photo it wasn't gold leaf but color (kidding me) and to repair the damage he attached the gold leaf as best he could over the chocolate splashes. Moral of the story I paid more than 100 euros for the wrong cake and it was arranged in the best possible way.

06/01/2025: It's the first time I went there and I literally ran away, as soon as I entered you could already see the place being very badly looked after, the staff were rude and arrogant to say the least, the bar was full of dirty plates, glasses thrown there for who knows how long, the place seems one of those old restaurants from the 70s, no one to welcome you and everyone looks at you badly, very stressed, after a while a waiter comes by and shouts at me: get over there!! Pointing me to a table, no one had a uniform, apron or gloves, just rather dirty and skimpy clothes!! There was a Chinese woman who was going back and forth and screaming like a hysterical lunatic. I took a look at what they were preparing and it was clear that the food was very poor and very badly prepared, the menus were all dirty and half torn, no I sat down but without wasting time I immediately left there, I think that a good check of the Nas would be needed, they would close it immediately, one piece of advice go straight ahead, don't even stop.

30/12/2024: Our B&B offered us breakfast at Insigne's and I must say it was a great idea!!! The place is bigger than it seems, the staff are very kind, very friendly and very reliable! The very clean, warm and welcoming environment (even outside where there are heating lamps). Everything sweet is the mouth-watering, tic-tac-toe top! But savory is no joke! Arancini, cartocciate etc... DELICIOUS!!!! If you go to Catania you can't miss it, I definitely will!

29/12/2024: Whenever I order a cup of chocolate anywhere in a bar, it is always served to me together with some dessert biscuits (usually three). Today at this bar I was only served the drink without even a biscuit. Paid 4 euros. If I had known earlier I would have gone elsewhere.

28/09/2024: Pasé por aquí para comer algo a media tarde. Compartimos la bruschetta y disfrutamos de un delicioso arancini cada uno! El personal era tan divertido que hizo que nuestra estancia fuera agradable! Fue encantador sentarse afuera y la gente observa mientras comíamos nuestra comida.

01/07/2024: We can't say anything about the service, everything was perfect. A big flaw was the huge presence of mosquitoes throughout the night which prevented us from sleeping. We must have killed about thirty of them, despite this they continued to arrive, perhaps from the air vent. Among the people I stayed with, one was forced to cover her head during the night. I considered this as constructive criticism towards the owner, I am sure he will be able to overcome this problem, although for now there remains a great complexity to be resolved if we want to guarantee some sleep. 22/08/2024: Exaggerated price. Pasta with wild boar sauce was sauce with a few pieces of meat. Almond parfait too sweet and full of cream. Ladies, there were two starters, very simple, but good as they were local products. One also judges based on the price, a dish at a modest price may also be good for a simple and quick lunch, but becomes inadequate at a higher price. We're talking about quality/price. Bringing menus to the table and not doing everything verbally could be a way to prevent customers from being surprised by the bill. It was a quantity of pasta and with a sauce that it is not clear why it cost 40 euros, it was not a quantity and a sauce and a location that explains the price. The dessert had a normal price, but remains not good in our opinion, but those are tastes, there will be those who appreciate it as you do. The review is useful for those like me who were looking for a more affordable place, it won't be a problem for those who don't care about the price as you claim.

22/08/2024: I'm here on holiday for a month and every two or three days I go there for the pizza... Prices in line, well seasoned and with excellently leavened dough, which doesn't cause any problems for those who, like me, are slightly intolerant to yeast. ..

06/08/2024: Classico panificio , con focacce , rustici e arancine . Il gusto la quantità e la qualità di un panificio d'altri tempi . Da provare anche i cornetti straboccanti di creme .

06/08/2024: Una certezza. Pizza eccezionale..con ingredienti ottimi e cottura perfetta da panificio. Consiglio la pizza pantesca. È sempre bello vedere personale che ci mette passione in quello che fa. Ovviamente tappa fissa anche al mattino per un pranzo veloce (calzoni divini).

01/01/2025: I went to the new place on 12/30/2024, reasonably good pizza. Prices have increased significantly compared to the previous location. Absolutely unsuitable place, as the spaces are limited and it is a continuous back and forth of people that you almost find them on you, local ventilation equal to zero, you will find the heavy smell of frying in the kitchen impregnated on your clothes not even in the worst fry shops . I certainly won't be going back. 👋

13/10/2024: Vuoi rilassarti? Bene! Hai trovato il posto giusto. Vuoi gustare del buon cibo? È proprio qui che devi andare. Bevi, mangia e rilassati ascoltando la musica delle onde e assaporando il gusto del mare.

16/08/2024: Piccolo ristorante di nicchia ubicato nella piazza più bella di Catania, quella del Duomo. Qui non puoi avere fretta, devi assaporare ogni piatto con il giusto intervallo di tempo, per comprendere la particolare tecnica del sapiente chef Guglielmino. Il crudo di pesce è uno dei migliori che abbia mai mangiato, sia per la qualità del pescato e, soprattutto, per il gusto degli accoppiamenti con i vari coulis di frutta. Lo spaghetto ai ricci e bottarga abbondante e meraviglioso. Per non parlare della Bouillabaisse Gulien, una zuppa di pesce e crostacei allo zafferano con crostini di pane al burro, preparata con dovizia di particolari che devi assolutamente terminare inzuppando il pane fino all’ultima goccia di brodo.
