03/06/2025: The location is beautiful, that's all: exorbitant prices, €40 for 5 tapas and a cocktail (plus a glass of classic bubbles), because taken on the roof (in the cold), it seems more like a joke. It's not worth this price...

06/06/2025: I spent a weekend with my husband in this very beautiful place in every way. The restaurant is also highly recommended.

03/06/2025: English: Playground consisting of two swings, one with a broken plastic seat that exposes children to the risk of cutting themselves. Pool area sparse and unstaffed, with stained sunbeds and umbrellas and no changing room. Farm far away, reachable by car (if you get there alive) via a narrow, impervious and slippery dirt road or on foot for several hundred meters under the scorching sun (in this case the risk is not getting there alive due to the climb to be faced on the way back). Very low quality/price ratio for what concerns the restaurant; limited portions and inadequate quality compared to exaggerated prices (grill consisting of 4 pieces of meat €18, for example). No transparency on prices and no menu, no typical or particular dish offered (the first courses are pasta alla norma and ragù). Even before the end of lunch and coffee, the owner invites me to pay, so as to "free him"; he verbally tells me, without any specification, a price including entry to the pool that we had not used; he doesn't give me a receipt and starts addressing me informally. It's hard to find positive aspects and the final impression is that of a structure that wants to take advantage of the few customers it has as much as possible, but offers a service that is not up to par. I won't return and I don't recommend it.

25/04/2025: The food was excellent. Tortilla with horse meat, a small beer was also included in the price. The fries were also good. The waiter was very kind and helpful. The garden seating was discreet, well isolated from the main street. Overall a pleasant sitting. Plastic cutlery and a plastic cup for drinking did not suit me. Otherwise everything is fine.

29/09/2024: Ordino la pizza allo scoglio e mi dicono che non hanno né le cozze né le vongole. Ordiniamo un antipasto di fritti misti ed arriva senza arancini, alla richiesta di dove fossero viene risposto che non ce n’erano e quindi di loro spontanea volontà e senza avvisare li hanno sostituiti con la mozzarella ! E se fossi stato allergico?? Assurdo! Peccato perché la pizza non è male.

25/09/2024: Non solo è di gran lunga la pizza migliore dell'isola, ma probabilmente la migliore mai mangiata in vita mia. Prodotti eccezionali, freschi e dosati con maestria su un impasto sensazionale. Io ho preso la carbonara ed è stato come mangiare un piatto di carbonara in una vera trattoria romana. Unico consiglio, è pesante, non prendete altro prima della pizza. Ci torneremo

19/05/2025: I do not recommend this place only for the rudeness of the person who brought us the bill at the table without asking, practically throwing us out of the place, claiming that the table was closed, after-dinner had started🙄🙄To be clear, it is a place with time slots 🤔🤔but we were not informed when booking, we would never have come because we like to be in company after dinner, chatting even while sipping something, but I repeat, we were not informed of anything and not even offered to stay for after-dinner. In short, the curly black-haired woman was a real RUDE and PRESIDENTIAL RUDE because the customer is the one who keeps you open and you don't treat people like dirt. Maybe we spent too little🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️. The radical chic that only makes you laugh🤣🤣🤣🤣. METEORS.

24/10/2024: La commessa purtroppo non era in grado di distinguere tra il pane di semola di grano duro e quello di grano tenero. Così ho ricevuto quest'ultimo, anche se avevo chiesto la semola di grano duro. Quando ho strappato un pezzo di pane per verificare la consistenza e il colore dell'impasto, ho scoperto che il pane era di grano tenero. Invece di ammettere l'errore, la signora ha insistito che si trattava di semola di grano duro. È ridicolo, qualsiasi bambino è in grado di riconoscere visivamente la differenza. Questo negozio non mi vedrà più.

01/06/2025: First review in my history, I'm a lazy guy and I don't write reviews. I've never had such a bad time anywhere as at Torquemada, so my experience must be told. An evening to forget. Very ugly place, infernal heat, insufficient air conditioning, this is just to start with. We sit down at 8pm, the mixed fried food arrives at 8:30pm, very badly cooked and together with a few bottles of tap water that tastes terrible. Bottled water only 0.5, why? The menu for the evening had already been decided, after the appetizer, pizzas were to be served in the center, various flavors, chosen by the diners, without a limit on quantity, the so-called "pizza tour". You don't see a pizza before 10:30 pm, two hours after the appetizer, during which we repeatedly urged the staff, almost begged them to bring us some pizza to start eating and satisfy our hunger, putting up with sarcastic and irritated responses from very rude waiters. Zero respect or care for the customer. The pizza was nothing special, badly cooked, the edges inedible, always burnt. Do you want some advice? Go elsewhere, Palermo is full of places where you eat well, managed by people who care about the customer and who respect him.

22/05/2025: I came on a trip with my class here in Palermo, to minimize the costs of the educational experience the school decided to choose this restaurant to go to for dinner every day. Leaving aside the terrible conditions of the place with plasterboard walls that wobbled at the touch, electrical wires exposed in full view and a closet from which a large number of waiters flowed at all times of the evening literally behind an open seat, the rest was even worse. I understand that it may be a different situation than usual to find twenty people all together in one evening and there may be setbacks, but when this situation has been known for days it is unacceptable to do a job like this. I will not list all the misfortunes of these evenings spent at the "Torquemada" but I will say the first things that come to mind: Food given to a paying clientele poor and with ridiculous portions. Mediocre and perpetually late service that often does not listen to requests. Basic products (like bread) that according to the staff members "are not enough for everyone" when they already knew very well what situation they would find themselves in. Hot tap water given to customers after asking the staff for a little more in addition to the 2 bottles for 12 people that were given at the beginning Furthermore, the food was clearly made and served to save as much as possible without taking into account the impressions of the customers, I do not want to mention the characteristics of the "cake" served because they put the fragile consistency of the wall in a bad light. I find all this absurd and untenable because as I have already said I realize it is difficult to manage an entire class in the evening but, since the restaurant has taken on this commitment, it is absolutely responsible for the result. The restaurant could be a good place for small groups but is strictly not recommended for larger groups that the restaurant does not know how to handle. A piece of advice for the members of the restaurant, do not take on responsibilities that you are not able to handle. For everyone else, do not go there if you have many friends.

13/04/2025: Friendly staff, fair prices, pasta with fresh sea urchins plentiful and good. The only flaw was that the pasta was cooked a few minutes late and therefore was soggy. It can happen. I will definitely go back

03/06/2025: Approfittando del weekend, con amici ci siamo recati a Lipari. Dopo una piacevole cena presso una struttura del luogo, decidiamo di concludere la serata con un drink. Attratti dalle ottime recensioni scegliamo il Caffè La Vela che si rivela una pena!! Due dei miei amici prendono un Negroni, il più coraggioso si ostina a berlo fino alla fine, mentre l'altro dopo due sorsi abbandona l’impresa passando all’acqua minerale! La mia amica prende una coca cola zero (ma oltre ad essere zero zuccheri, era anche zero gas!!!). Era degassata come un palloncino ad elio ormai in fase terminale. Io mi azzardo ad ordinare un Long Island, sapeva di coca cola annacquata con elevato tenore di acido citrico. Ho ancora la gola anestetizzata, più che un drink sembrava uno sciroppo antinfiammatorio. Alcool non pervenuto, boh, sarà ancora in fase di decantazione e degassazione per futuri cocktail da somministrare. Cosa ancor più grave, aver servito al tavolo la coca cola già aperta. Le regole base prevedono che le bibite vengano portate tappate o al limite aperte davanti al cliente. Pertanto desumo che era già degasata da tempi remoti. Per concludere, aggiungo, che il tavolo era talmente appiccicoso da miscugli consumati da clientela precedente, tanto che il mio amico e qualche zanzara estiva hanno rischiato di restare lì incollati al tavolo. Fortunatamente siamo riusciti a tornare a casa senza il tavolo dietro, ma sicuramente a non tornare più qui nelle prossime sere. Migliorate la qualità dei cocktail, costano, li paghiamo, non sono degli omaggi, ci piacerebbe gustarli, non nausearli.

18/05/2025: Average food, terrible house wine, slow service, there was a middle-aged lady serving, I don't know if she was the owner or an employee. Very rude anyway, she probably had a bad day but you have to be friendly with customers. Overall a disappointing experience

08/05/2025: Basically a very nice bar, you sit a little more quietly on the piazza instead of on the noisy thoroughfare. The Genovese/Panzerotti with mandarin jam are very tasty. The cappuccino wasn't perfect, but OK. However, the price level is completely exorbitant, the capuccino costs €3!! There is no service; you take the ordered food yourself from the counter to the table. I definitely won't be coming back

29/04/2025: This lovely little bakery turns into a pop up natural and local wine bar on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. A great introduction to local wines by the glass - there were more than 20 wines on offer by the glass - a rare treat!

12/04/2025: Se vai in un locale come La Muciara ti aspetti non solo di mangiare bene ma anche di ricevere un servizio eccellente, visti l’eleganza del posto e il livello dei prezzi sopra la media: sulla qualità del cibo nulla da dire, ma del servizio siamo rimasti notevolmente delusi. Innanzi tutto in una tavola di 8 persone ci sono stati consegnati 2 soli menu più la carta dei vini: alla richiesta di averne altri per tutti i commensali, nessun riscontro! Fino a quando si presenta la persona addetta a prendere le ordinazioni a cui facciamo presente che alcuni non hanno ancora avuto modo di visionare i piatti… soltanto allora arriva al tavolo qualche menu in più! L’evasione dell’ordine è stato un altro parto difficile: gli antipasti sono arrivati in tempi abbastanza rapidi, ma l’attesa per le pizze è stata veramente estenuante, solo in parte ripagata dalla buona qualità dell’impasto e delle materie prime. Per quanto buona la pizza, è inaccettabile cenare alla vigilia di mezzanotte dopo essersi seduti alle 21:15! Dulcis in fundo, il pagamento: presentatici alla cassa per pagare ciascuno la propria quota, la persona addetta alla cassa pensa bene, nel fare il calcolo, di arrotondare l’importo pro-capite… PER ECCESSO! Arrotondamento che non aveva alcuna utilità, visto che i pagamenti sono stati effettuati con carta. Si è trattato di poche decine di centesimi a testa, ma è soprattutto nei dettagli che si vede lo stile di un ristorante e l'attenzione per il cliente. In conclusione, quanto di buono realizzato con la qualità dei piatti viene compromesso da un servizio totalmente insufficiente e non all’altezza del locale.

03/02/2025: In an excellent position on the sea, west of Cape Milazzo.... nice atmosphere, courteous service, but the rubbery dough of the pizza and the "fried bread" were a total disappointment. There were 9 of us and none of us managed to finish our pizza, despite the overall good toppings. A real shame. Prices above average.

18/05/2025: Terrible catering, tasteless pasta is sweet, raw octopus is frozen, tasteless shrimp cocktail with mayonnaise, oregano that has nothing to do with it, I am unable to do anything except talk nonsense

19/01/2025: The place is nice and spacious, and the staff are really friendly and courteous. We ordered a fish starter that was delicious but above all fresh and plentiful. Lots of choice on the menu between fish and meat dishes and many varieties of pizzas. The pizza was truly delicious and full of toppings.

12/04/2025: Order placed via moov Eat at 4pm and I reiterate 4pm, requesting a delivery at 9pm. They had the barbaric courage to tell the rider that there was a lot of work and they didn't deliver the focaccia by the scheduled time to the boy in charge of delivery. I could understand an order placed at 8.00 pm, but it is not plausible to treat orders placed online in this way, evidently to favor those who arrive on site at 9.00 pm. The focaccia had already been paid for anyway.

11/01/2025: A historic bakery. The focaccia, the bread, the flatbreads, in short everything, are excellent. Absolutely try the "Sikelia"
