Caffè del Duomo In Catania

I visited Caffè del Duomo e Ristorante in Catania with my family, and we had a great time. The pizza was excellent: well-cooked, with fresh, flavorful ingredients. Special thanks to the waiters Ignazio and Giuseppe, always kind and helpful. Ignazio was especially attentive, even bringing our dog a glass of water. Fair prices, especially considering the restaurant's central location. I booked through The Fork with a 30% discount and really appreciated the restaurant's transparency: the original list prices and the discounted prices were clearly indicated separately on the bill, an important detail that demonstrates great fairness and professionalism towards customers. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat well without spending a lot and enjoy the beautiful outdoor setting of Piazza Duomo.

It was excellent, thank you for the dish! Probably the best pistachio pasta we've ever had.

We stopped for some Sicilian gelato, and it was delicious. The coffee wasn't bad either. To find a table wasn't a problem. The view of the square was lovely. You can admire the volcanic elephant in the background and the profile of Santa Agatha's Cathedral. Toilets and hand washing are available with a coupon, which you need to get from the staff. The bill was 30euros (2 ice creams, 1 americano and 1 fresh orange juce). The service charge is 4 euros extra. It's a shame the service doesn't include cleaning the table before serving.

A pleasant café in Piazza del Duomo. Opposite is the Church/Basilica of Saint Agatha, a fountain, and a crowd of visitors. It's worth sitting down for a moment, having a coffee and something sweet, and simply soaking up the atmosphere of this place.

this review is purely for to-go gelato experience. the cafe is beautifully situated in the piazza del duomo, with a large area of outdoor seating perfect for people watching and views of the duomo. inside the establishment you can order from a pastry case or gelato bar to go, then pay with a lady at the cash desk before going on your way. the pistachio gelato was delicious, no complaints here!

The first bar in Piazza Duomo. Every self-respecting tourist has enjoyed a coffee while admiring the splendid square at least once in their life. On weekends, it's incredibly crowded, making finding a table a challenge. There's a wide selection of breakfasts, hot meals, desserts, and appetizers. The staff is very helpful and does their best; there's a wait, but that's completely understandable. All in all, it's a very good experience.

We had quite a few cups of great coffee here during our stay in Catania 😊 the pastries were delicious, the service nice and welcoming, and once you also saved the day with good salads for lunch after we left another place very disappointed. Thank you! 😊
