17/03/2026: The trattoria is unheated and the doors are wide open, so it's only 12 degrees Celsius inside, just like outside. The waiter is determined to bring you the appetizers, even if you don't want them. We then waited 30 minutes for a schnitzel with fries and a whopping 45 minutes for a steak. My schnitzel arrived first, unfortunately cold, and the fries were just fried potatoes. The potato for the steak arrived at the same time. The steak itself didn't come until 18 minutes later, by which time I had finished the schnitzel and the potato was long since cold. It tasted awful. This place is a complete tourist trap. Please go somewhere else!

23/04/2026: I've been a regular customer, I've brought many people to this place, I was happy to spend time in such a lovely place and also close to home. I've always had cakes in other prestigious pastry shops in Catania, but since I'm a customer of this Bakery, I called to book a simple cheesecake for my mother-in-law's birthday, stressing that it had to be a small cake for 4 people, the reservation was confirmed. I sent my husband to pick up the cake and when he told me the price he had paid (€55) for a non-spectacular cake (I would have justified it if it had had any particular representations), but talking about a simple cheesecake that I've always paid €25-30 in other places, I was truly shocked. More than €30 per kg, so are we talking about a cheesecake with 18 kt gold filling? Only now have I paid attention to the reviews left by other people and everyone is complaining about the price. I'm sorry for what happened, but I will never return to this place with my friends or family again. I was planning on having cakes made for other events, but I strongly doubt that my presence there will be DISAPPOINTED again.

12/04/2026: On the advice of a friend, I decided to entrust the creation of my daughter's birthday cake to their skilled hands. The finished product was superb, both aesthetically and in taste. The staff, too.... Sweeter than their products. Highly recommended!!!!!

16/12/2025: A brilliant café. The cassata al forno (a typical Sicilian cake) is delicious, a huge slice at a low price. The arancini are some of the best we've ever had, the atmosphere is right by the market, and the service is lovely. We won't even mention the excellent coffee, as that's obvious :)

25/05/2026: The plates and cutlery were completely dirty. They brought me a fork I'd used for the cake, and although they apologized for changing it, even the cappuccino cup was dirty. Hygiene is a non-existent thing here. Absolutely avoid.

09/11/2025: Terrible experience, from the service to the food. My children's cutlet was served completely raw and thick, and was left untouched on the plate. They didn't even ask why it was left or what was wrong, and obviously they paid for it in full on the bill! I won't add anything else except that we'll never return.

17/06/2025: Family-run restaurant located in Palermo. Pleasant welcome and service. The food, however, is very simple and more like something your grandmother would make. For a restaurant, more elaborate dishes would be appreciated. If you're looking for a quick and traditional meal, you can go to this establishment, but don't expect an explosion of flavors. Don't try the Spritz; Aperol and beer don't necessarily mix well 😅

02/03/2026: Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience for me. Grilled vegetables (4 slices of eggplant and half a zucchini with a sad tomato in the center) €12, a rip-off. The pizza was served in broth because it was full of water in the center, perhaps the frozen spinach hadn't been squeezed out properly. I don't recommend it. P.S. How can staff or owners be allowed to play cards in the dining room during service? Absurd.

25/01/2026: We were so happy to find a restaurant that was not only open on a Sunday in January, but also good! The pizzas were delicious. The kind woman serving our table was very accommodating of our 8 month old. Although we speak little Italian, it was refreshing to visit a restaurant in which no one speaks English. The experience was more authentic.

11/06/2026: It won't offend, it won't impress. We chose a few dishes from the hot counter as an "emergency" during the siesta. The establishment is relatively well rated by locals, unfortunately we weren't very impressed. For the same price, you can eat in a much better restaurant/cafe. We didn't have a chance to taste the coffee.

12/07/2026: I've never experienced a situation like this before. The waiter comes to my table and tells me I can't use my IQOS. No problem, I turn it off right away. After less than five minutes, I turn around and see someone smoking at my table and other people at the next table smoking happily. I ask for an explanation, and the answer was: "They're friends of the owner." Well, the problem isn't the ban. The problem is that, apparently, the rules only apply to certain people. If you're a friend of the owner, you can do whatever you want; if you're a regular customer, you can't. A place is also judged by these things. I felt treated differently from the others, and that's unacceptable. The thing that disappointed me most wasn't the request to turn off my IQOS, but the response I received. Being told that some customers can do what others aren't allowed to do because they're "friends of the owner" conveys the idea of ​​favoritism and disrespect toward anyone who enters that place. It's a behavior that has left me with a truly bad memory and that, unfortunately, makes me lose the desire to return.
