11/07/2026: The waiters were very kind and helpful, but unfortunately poorly trained. Let's start with the appetizers: good, but nothing exceptional. Next, the bottle of wine arrived already opened; fortunately, we asked for an unopened one, and it was replaced immediately without issue. The fish entrees didn't meet our expectations: they seemed frozen, and the quality wasn't particularly high. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations, and I don't think I'll return. The only positives were the kindness of the staff and the fairly reasonable bill.

16/07/2026: I'd like to give it 0 stars, but unfortunately I have to give it one. 2 granitas €8 The almond granita was literally inedible. It tasted like they'd soaked the block in water and served it. Naturally, I left it. I think it's the worst granita I've ever eaten in my life. I've been avoiding Bar Camarda for a while now, and today confirmed that, and I'll never go back.

15/07/2026: Terrible experience This morning, unfortunately, we went to this bar... but never again... when my husband and I walked in, instead of taking our order, they laughed in our faces... especially the girl behind the counter with the glasses... we left because of the lack of professionalism and so much rudeness... I advise the staff to look at themselves in the mirror when you get home, it's hilarious... never again... avoid going there... if I go back on vacation to Messina, I'll also avoid walking past this bar.

It's one of those places you discover by chance and then regret not staying longer. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this isn't your average candy store. 05/04/2026: Rooms a little bit dated..no walk in shower..but were very clean..balcony view amazing though. Location was fine but had alot steps down to the beaches(especially islo bella) and cable car up to Toarmina..but generally location was fine...one major problem was the hotel lift was broken and if your in the higher up part of the hotel..its roughly 220 steps up to some of the rooms! Which is not great if you have mobility issues or are of a certain age. Would have got a higher score but the steps were an issue.

08/02/2026: My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week last summer. The hotel itself is fine, but the problem was that on one of our last days, I hadn't brought my AirPods in their case to the beach; they were on a cabinet among other things. When we got back, they were gone! We knew the cleaning staff came every day and immediately wondered what was going on and if the cleaners were the only ones entering our room. I was 100% sure I'd put them on the cabinet and they were gone, so I went to the front desk and told them my AirPods had probably been taken by the cleaning lady. She acted nonchalantly as if this wasn't a big deal. There was a very strange atmosphere, as if she knew about it. She said she'd check and came back with my AirPods. She told me they'd probably accidentally fallen onto the cleaning cart. Of all the items, the expensive earbuds were the only ones that "fell off the table into the cart." Do you really believe that? No "sorry for the inconvenience, ma'am," or anything like that. She acted as if it was perfectly normal, so I think she simply knew about it. I told her I found it very strange, but she brushed it off with a comment like, "That kind of thing happens." It's unacceptable that someone tried to steal my AirPods and got away with it by claiming they were taken by accident! Absolutely ridiculous. And all this while we'd paid €10 for the cleaning lady that morning. We were here from August 4th to 11th of last year and forgot to write a review about it right away, but it still bothered me so much that I'm doing it now.

15/01/2026: The appetizers are excellent, including the white tripe and tripe in tomato sauce, and the cuddriruni (a kind of pasta) you absolutely must try. The pizzas are delicious. Friendly staff, good service, and fair prices.

23/04/2026: Local seasonal food in excellent quality. Finally proper healthy vegan food as well, not the usual pasta...The lady was willing to serve us even after the closing hours, with full kindness. Highly recommended !

26/05/2026: We had breakfast at Gnam gnam this morning; they have gluten-free and other allergy-friendly options. Azzurra, the waitress, welcomed us warmly and kindly. We had a chance to chat with her, and she was very helpful with various tips for our stay in Catania. We'll definitely be back.

25/05/2026: Delicious piadinas, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. The staff is super friendly, and the atmosphere is quiet and welcoming, perfect for a quick bite or a leisurely meal.

07/05/2026: A very pleasant stay with a very warm welcome. A place to recommend! Pitches right on the water, a magnificent view, an adjoining diving club – everything you need for a successful stay in the shade of beautiful olive trees!

16/12/2025: The Riva Smeralda location is truly beautiful and evocative: overlooking the sea, with an atmosphere that promises a pleasant and relaxing evening. Unfortunately, however, the quality of the food didn't quite meet expectations. There were 15 of us, and we all ordered pizza: mediocre dough, with toppings placed haphazardly and carelessly, truly disappointing. The service, if anything, was even worse: the waiters were rushed, giving you the constant feeling that they just wanted to take your plate away and vacate the table as quickly as possible. A real shame, because the location has enormous potential, but considering the (very high) prices, the overall experience was disappointing. I reiterate a fundamental point: exorbitant prices.
