I have been frequenting the Pasticceria Sant'Anna for several decades and not only that, the demonstration that it is always crowded with polite and understanding people of the work that the collaborators of the same Pasticceria carry out, no less than the Lady "at the CHECKOUT" who, excuse me the LADY in the first place and then you Mr Roberto without surname.!!!, if you have missed the GREETING that he usually gives and extends to all customers of any social class (I am not anyone's public defender, they give me useless criticism is annoying). As usual, no one or few understand the commitment and mainly the STRESS of those who work and work. I understand your discomfort in the lack of a GREETING, if I personally have the pleasure of always meeting you in the pastry shop, I will "gratify you with a warm hug" to compensate for the missed greeting. I underline what has been said because "She" is the first person who utters sentences to people who have always given and are still giving the best of themselves to all the people who frequent said Pastry Shop, but coincidentally the same people are not thrifty or they are scarce in compliments, indeed they are full of PRAISE not only to those at the checkout but also to all the operational staff for their kindness and courtesy. But as they say "not all donuts come with a hole" it can happen...., even customers or patrons don't get up in a good mood every day, they, their collaborators and owners in any case accept them trying to tone down the beginning or continuation of a day that started badly. 04/08/2024: We kept hearing about this place, but never went…until we went to the market, and by pure coincidence it was boiling outside, we looked for an ice cream and Il Massimo del Gelato popped up! First of, the ladies welcome you with a huge smile and are extremely friendly! They give suggestions and also recommend trying flavours! Then, there are a lot of chocolate flavours, and the Fiji (with orange and grand marnier) is just to die for! If it wasn’t as warm outside, I would have definitely taken it, but did a 180 and took fruit flavours, which I never do! The fruit flavours are water based, but I’m 100% sure that nobody could tell it if they don’t! They’re extremely creamy and super fresh! All the hype is 100% real, they are one of the best ice creams I’ve tried in Milano! Super good flavours, great varieties, and amazing staff!

08/08/2024: Every time I go to Materia I'm happy. Well yes: I love eating and having a restaurant so close to home fills me with joy, especially for business lunches, which are not very "demanding" where with an absolutely reasonable amount you can afford to have lunch in a starred restaurant. The new location is particularly intriguing and inviting and today, for the first time thanks to the school holidays, I brought my little girl who I am trying to accustom more and more to the journeys of taste. Today the menu offered risotto with green bean and tarragon cream, pasta ditalini with venison ragout, chicken leg on a bed of polenta and mussel and cherry tomato stew. The marrow and saffron are inevitable. My daughter was also very satisfied with the menu where, however, the flavors offered can be difficult for the little ones. 16/07/2024: It was an excellent value for the experience. Service was excellent. We went with the chef choice 5 course. Myself I had the full course. Not every dish was to my flavor palette but they were all creative and delicious. I did the saffron risotto and the bite sized introductory course because they were designed to be consumed linearly.

28/07/2024: Da sempre incuriosito dalla particolarità del menu proposto mi sono finalmente recato all’Orterie. Con amici abbiamo passato una bellissima serata immersi nel verde del giardino seduti a tavola sotto una pianta che rende la location esterna ancora più affascinante. Ma il fiore all’occhiello resta sicuramente il menù completo e vario dalla vellutata di piselli fresca alla barbabietola “panata”, alla rivisitazione del sushi senza pesce tutto servito e spiegato nel dettaglio in maniera impeccabile dal proprietario. Sette portate, dolce compreso, tutte di alto livello e per ogni palato. Inoltre all’inizio viene servito un gustoso aperitivo accompagnato da una chips con salsa al broccolo, polenta preparata con farina di ceci a cubotti e gustose verdure in pinzimonio bagnati da un buon vino rosato. Ottima anche la selezione dei vini locali e non. Davvero i miei complimenti a questi giovani ragazzi che meritano sicuramente una visita. Totalmente suggerito e da provare in ogni stagione dal momento che i prodotti variano arrivando direttamente dal loro orto.

16/03/2024: I came in to give a gift which was greatly appreciated: a box of delicious macarons and a black tea with notes of chocolate and caramel... a perfect combination. The courtesy and friendliness of the staff made me appreciate even more that little corner of France hidden, unfortunately, behind the Sant'Ambrogio construction site. Highly recommended... even the person who received the gift appreciated it a lot. ❤️
