21/07/2025: A historic bakery in the heart of Monteverde, Forno Marchetti is a true neighborhood institution, and you immediately understand why as soon as you enter. I stopped by on a Saturday just before closing time, and... the bread counter was practically empty: a sure sign that goodness sells like hotcakes here! The little that was left spoke volumes, but I was also struck by the kindness and hospitality of the owners, who make you feel at home, with the smile of those who truly love their work. Their highlight? The scrocchiarella, the finest crust, simply legendary. Whether it's red with tomato or white, it's crunchy, light, and flavorful: one of those things that makes you want to return every day. An authentic place, where tradition, quality, and humanity meet. Highly recommended.

12/06/2025: Oven always open. Excellent red pizzas, soft pizza and Roman crunchy pizza. Wide selection of sweets, cakes, leavened products. Friendly staff.

13/10/2025: My sea bream order arrived halfway. It was stated that zucchini would come with it, but it arrived with a trace amount of zucchini. There was only a tomato, cooked or uncooked, on my plate. It was not filling or tasty at all. My friends' hamburgers were the worst I've ever had. Don't ask how bad a chicken burger can be, you can try it here. Even worse, they charged a 20% service fee.

13/10/2025: I'm writing this in case someone reads this and avoids it. I think it'll be important for your stomach health during your trip. Since there were no reservation problems in the evening, four of us sat down and ordered two hamburgers, fish, and steak. The hamburger came with stale bread made from minced chicken and tasted awful. The fish we received was a very small half-fish, no different from the fillet sold frozen in Turkey, and the steak was very difficult to cut even with a bone-dry knife. Although I've eaten at many places in Europe, I've never had such a bad experience. On top of that, there's a 20% service charge, and we paid around €100.

02/09/2025: Tasty gelato with many varieties, obviously with typically Sicilian flavors, such as pistachio, cassata, Setteveli, but also interesting ones like cinnamon. I personally enjoyed it.

22/08/2025: The ice cream is delicious, the girls are nice and polite, the only flaw is the elderly gentleman at the cash register... Really too annoying!!!

29/09/2025: Terrible experience. It's not enough to sell gelato if the service is rude and arrogant. The blonde girl at the counter (the owner's daughter) was unfriendly, rude, and completely unprofessional. Such unpleasant behavior ruins any desire to return. In a place that thrives on customers, courtesy should be paramount: here, however, it's completely absent. I wouldn't go in there even if they were selling free gelato.

21/09/2025: The smallest cone is €3 with two flavors....at least the flavors were good....basically we got 2 cones with 2 flavors each and all the flavors tasted the same, meaning they tasted like nothing, like drinking a glass of water....I wouldn't recommend it.

22/07/2025: I returned after a long time and found the service terrible. Annoyed with the customer, after the ice cream I asked to take away two dried fruit cookies, which were in a glass bell jar (they weren't for me, but for someone else). They handed me two pre-packaged ones, telling me they were identical but more practical. In a hurry, I agreed, but at home I discovered they were chocolate cookies with an incorrect expiration date. How you're losing customers!

13/06/2025: I was recently at Gelateria Alaska in Rome, and I have to say it was a real discovery! It was a warm summer evening and, after a walk with friends, we decided to stop for an ice cream... the choice was never more appropriate! The place is simple but well-kept, with a family atmosphere that makes you feel immediately at ease. The staff was very kind, ready to offer samples and to recommend with a smile the most popular flavors of the day. I chose hazelnut and pistachio, two classic flavors, but here they have something extra: creamy, intense, you can taste that the ingredients are quality. My friends were also enthusiastic - some had fruit flavors, some dark chocolate... everyone was satisfied. A note of merit also goes to the fresh whipped cream, soft and light, as if it were made on the spot. In short, a little corner of goodness in the heart of Rome. I will definitely return, perhaps to try other flavors... even if it will be difficult to give up the pistachio, truly superb!
