20/10/2025: Sapienza's Economics cafeteria is one of the most popular choices among students on campus, especially those majoring in Economics or Engineering, thanks to its extremely convenient location: just steps from the main classrooms and departments, it's the ideal stop for lunch between classes. The food is good, considering it's a university cafeteria. Portions are adequate, dishes vary quite a bit from day to day, and the quality, while not restaurant-quality, remains more than satisfactory. You can create a complete meal with a first course, second course, side dish, bread, and fruit or dessert, and there are often alternatives for those who prefer a lighter meal or those seeking something more substantial. Another strong point is undoubtedly the affordable prices, which vary based on the ISEE bracket. This allows all students to eat for just a few euros, making the cafeteria a convenient and sustainable option, especially for those who eat there every day. However, there are some drawbacks. The place isn't particularly attractive: the ambiance is rather spartan, with basic, poorly-maintained furnishings, and doesn't contribute to making lunch an aesthetically pleasing experience. Furthermore, during peak hours, lines form very long, and you may have to wait quite a while to be seated and eat.

28/12/2025: This is my second time staying here. Large room, very comfortable bed! The bathroom is also large. Excellent breakfast! The location is great for me! Close to Termini station (where trains go to everywhere) and also very close to the Castro Pretorio metro station. There's a restaurant and pizzeria right next door, and a supermarket too. In short, I recommend the stay! The staff greet us very kindly.

20/11/2025: The hotel is well-located with prices in the mid-range. It's a quiet hotel with a pleasant welcome and clean rooms. It's a shame the breakfast is the same every day. Overall, we had a good stay at this hotel.

13/11/2025: The quality of the products is medium-high, especially the tiramisu. But it's overpriced, considering the area; prices and quality are comparable to Giolitti on Via Uffici del Vicario (Campo Marzio right in the center, Montecitorio for non-Romans), but here we are among the high-rises of Appio Tuscolano. It'll be fine for tourists or commuters, but less so for residents. You're good, but I'd recommend adjusting the prices.

10/11/2025: My partner and I wanted a lunch after a busy day of traveling we stumbled across this restaurant and in hind sight wished we had not. The food albeit good doesn’t make up for the poor service and atmosphere, the gentleman who served us and older man with glasses seemed to prioritise Italian locals. Seating them , bringing them bread and water and even taking their order before us when we had arrived before them. When we eventually had our orders taken we both wanted a carbonara (an authentic one opposed to the creamy ones in the rest of Europe) we were met with a scoff eye roll and ‘of course’ this added to the uncomfortable feeling we had and it’s safe to say we won’t return!

20/11/2025: No response after saying "good morning" twice. The clean-shaven gentleman serving coffee on November 20th at around 11:00 a.m. seemed downright annoyed. Same story with the "thank you." It didn't come through. Why put people like that in public contact? And after all, saying "good morning" doesn't require any special training. It's pure and simple politeness.

30/11/2025: After a month of living here in the Prati area, I finally managed to get off work one Saturday morning, so walking past this bakery, captivated primarily by the long line of people, I decided to stop and try it. Perhaps it was too crowded, though I found the staff very fast, and the Christmas invasion (dozens of panettone boxes surrounding you). The atmosphere didn't seem very welcoming, but the staff's courtesy made me feel at home. I sampled some focaccia or pizza bianca (for a Genoese, focaccia is a different matter, hehe), and ordered some pizzas for an aperitivo and some bread. Everything was excellent. I'll definitely be back when I have a free Saturday.

26/11/2025: An excellent neighborhood bakery that has earned a well-deserved reputation for its bread, pizza, and pastries. Always a bit crowded, but well-run by two quick-witted ladies who occasionally offer advice. The whole-wheat, seeded bread is excellent. A little more expensive, but the quality is excellent.

12/01/2026: The owners are friendly and accommodating. Cute place, good wine, and decent food.

05/08/2025: Today we were looking for something to eat, as we were caught in the siesta window and couldn't find anything else. Every bad thing has a silver lining. The food was delicious, the service was charming, and the apricot cake for dessert was a delight. I highly recommend it.

07/01/2026: The perfect lunch break: rotisserie, sandwiches, and pizza, all homemade at reasonable prices. Top, top, top. I'll be back!!

01/12/2025: They've lost their initial polish and even their politeness, though I'm not sure they ever had that. The guy who served us was courteous, no complaints there. I guess you won't miss me, but I won't be back.

01/02/2026: We had dinner with friends, both with children. The place isn't very big, one of the "negative" points, but it's still comfortable. There's plenty of space for children; they have games and tables to hang out while the adults dine. The concept is original; honestly, it's the first time we've eaten at a place like this; I know there are others. I liked the food overall; I wasn't too happy with the sandwich; I ordered the "tasty" one, but honestly, it wasn't very good. It's also a shame about the beers; among the many drafts available, only the lager was left. Perhaps the children's area could use a bit more cleaning, in my opinion. I recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet dinner.

05/01/2026: We were at this place yesterday. When we arrived, we were quite taken aback because it looked closed from the outside, and because upon entering, we didn't get a good impression: the place is neglected and the smell upon entering is unpleasant. Afterward, the kids rushed to the playground and had a blast, and so did we. Then we ate well and felt very relaxed... but of course, the appearance of the place doesn't have a positive impact on the outside, and especially the inside.

20/01/2026: Of all the foods I ate throughout my trip to Europe, this was my absolute favorite. The spicy wrap kebab had a savory, grilled flavor. It was so delicious that I've never finished a grande kebab, but I almost finished it and gave the rest to my husband. I have an early start tomorrow morning, so I'm buying some to-go. I definitely need to go. It was a welcome relief for me, tired of salty, burnt pizza, undercooked, expensive pasta, and salty, tasteless, greasy mapo tofu and guo bao rou. I only want to go here. They serve a ton of meat. They also have vegetables, which relieves my guilt. I also like that they don't sell weird things like ai lan. The soufflé rice cakes are like fried rice with ketchup, but even when cold, they're crispy and not greasy, which is acceptable, but not delicious. Anyway, everyone, come here!

30/03/2025: Decent pizza and fried food. The one-star review (even too much) concerns how one of the owners who serves in the dining room (the short one with the hat) treats customers. Besides rudely responding to other diners in the dining room, he also rudely responded to me, saying "Don't come back" simply because I politely pointed out that it was already our third time there and he didn't have any bottles of the same type of wine in the fridge. If you don't know how to interact with the customer, change your career!

08/01/2026: My partner and I love Calcata, for about two years we have been going there at least once or twice a month. We discovered this delightful restaurant, with attention to the smallest details, welcoming, quality food, dishes that change according to the season, honest prices and above all thanks to everything I have listed above, we completely unplug every time we go there and treat ourselves to a wonderful lunch or dinner and for this it has become our meeting place! Thank you so much! Very good! 🤗

08/01/2026: Unscrupulous people. We canceled our New Year's Eve dinner with advance notice due to serious health problems, as I am a high-risk individual. They weren't even willing to offer us the option of returning to use at least part of the money we paid in advance. Which, however, the local hotel did, demonstrating sensitivity and respect. Shame on you. You showed no humanity when faced with the health of a fragile person. Liars, among other things: they mentioned a 10% discount on a dish for the next meal. Translation: I'll get a €10 pasta and save €1. We're blocking this to avoid unnecessary discussions with people who don't understand, who tell lies and have no humanity.

11/10/2025: The food is excellent, with all kinds of pizzas and various Roman dishes, as well as plenty of other food. The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, the staff friendly. Highly recommended. There's always karaoke on Fridays.
