03/04/2026: Today, April 2nd, a girl cleaning the windows with a cloth leaves the cloth to make me ice cream, but since you're cleaning the windows, you should wash your hands before making the cone. The owner's wife said that they don't touch the ice cream with their hands, which is very rude and it's not the first time. I remind you that in HACCP, after any cleaning task, it is mandatory to wash your hands before serving the customer.

04/05/2026: AMAZING. FANTASTIC staff and excellent food: Spiga d'Oro is the true gem of Torpigna. They won't bully you if, in German fashion, you order a cappuccino with red "scrocchie" ;) and... everyone gathers here for coffee, far from the gentrification that has affected other places, in a melting pot that includes elderly gentlemen full of stories and dog biscuits, writers, local women who come for a chat, systems engineers and mathematicians, doctors, ex-convicts, a wonderful Peruvian family with a child dressed as a teddy bear, Japanese people passing through, teenagers in existential crisis to whom the staff offers advice and support. The guy who wrote the negative review because of the dogs was angry with me and for personal reasons; he obviously wanted to blame the place rather than the person. However, he did give rise to this reflection: at Spigardoro, it's true that everyone loves dogs and that they are welcome and pampered. Sisto and Buffy the Vampire Slayer take this opportunity to thank Cinzia and Silvio (they know why) and say hello. OWNERS, COME ON! :) PS: They come from all over Rome for the croissants here.

26/04/2026: I got some croissants, and they weren't anything special. The staff seemed friendly, but there was a problem. To get to the croissants, I had to step over two dogs' leashes, which were far away from the table where their rude owner was sitting. That's unacceptable. Why should owners tell people who bring dogs into the shop to keep them close to them? Their freedom should end where everyone else's begins. What a shame, they've lost a customer.

05/11/2025: Decided to treat myself — and just in time, a bonus from the website (it’s mentioned in the photo) came through. Ordered pasta, relaxed, and had a really nice evening.

20/10/2025: The food was really tasty and well-prepared — you can tell they care about quality here. I also tried counting calories using the service shown in the photo — and honestly, it’s super convenient. For anyone tracking their diet, it’s a real gem: quick, simple, and helps you stay on top of your nutrition with no extra effort.

13/06/2026: For me, this is the best gelato in Ostia, truly a local's gem. The flavors are always fresh, and each one is better than the last. The collaboration with Bistrot Della Pasticciona has allowed them to create incredible flavors and desserts; I'm truly thrilled. Simone, the owner, is always available and super nice. Thank goodness I found it!

04/04/2026: We waited 18 timed minutes for two coffees at the table... the barista was fiddling with her cell phone from the counter to the cash register... I got up and asked again and another barista answered, "I just hung up, I don't know anything." The barista, not knowing what to do, decided to laugh out loud with some acquaintances, so much so that you jumped out of your seat... and the mini shortcrust tartlets were made of puff pastry... the girls busy on their phones don't even know what they're selling... the place was left at the mercy of the wind...

08/03/2026: The place is undoubtedly nice and welcoming, but the quality of the products is poor. The espresso coffee is awful, and the drip coffee is equally so. The pancakes are mediocre, considering they're priced at 9 euros.

18/01/2026: I went to this place for a friend's birthday. I should start by saying that my friend had booked a week in advance and was first on the list. And she had specifically asked for a seat in front of the band. The lady on the phone had explained in detail that it was no problem. We arrive and where do they put us?? At a small table for two, and there were five of us in a noisy, cramped room with glass walls far from the music room. We spoke to the owner and he replied: I CAN'T DO ANYTHING!!!! IF YOU WANT, I'LL AT LEAST ADD A TABLE! Out of politeness, I ignored this TOTAL DISCRETION TOWARDS THE CUSTOMER. Surely someone's friends had taken our place. Need we talk about the service??? The waiter, who poor thing doesn't understand Italian, brings me a plate meant for someone else, cold and skimpy, with two first courses and a small piece of cold pizza. Who knows how much that plate went around! We asked for sparkling water and she told us, "No, sparkling water costs €2.50 a bottle." Absurd. The other bottles were definitely tap water because they were the usual anonymous glass bottles. The second course was meatballs in tomato sauce with sachet-made mashed potatoes and boiled broccoli. I felt like I was in the hospital. I bought cheap prosecco with tickets reserved for cocktails. I use mine for the famous cocktail, and the girl told me, "No, with this ticket you can only have white or red wine..." But since there was an inconvenience with the reservation, she was kind enough to prepare the cocktail for me.!!! I appreciate the kindness, but it's absurd, considering that all establishments offer cocktails to those dining in. That said, I felt sick that night and had a stomachache.... Oh well, let's hope it's something else. I think the old management would have done better than this. Let's move on to the music, the only thing worth mentioning. Both the live music and the DJ were great. In fact, I'd say the DJ is excellent. That's why I gave two stars solely for the music. I hope the owner, reading what I've written, realizes that customers are precious and that during the pandemic, they were all desperate. Now we've all gone back to clubs, and everything is taken for granted, and the owners treat you terribly. I was very disappointed and don't think I'll ever return to this place again!

11/01/2026: Exposed wires, security in the last place, at the entrance it seems like they do you a pleasure to be there, the only thing that saves it is the live music exceptional musicians and I am a musician so hats off to THE CHILDREN OF THE STARS, wasted in this place.

17/03/2026: The staff was rude and uneducated. One day I asked for a lactose-free cappuccino, and they put whole milk in it. I believe that staff who care about their customers should avoid making these mistakes because it's a sign of unprofessionalism. If you don't want to work, find a job you truly enjoy, where at least you wake up in the morning with pleasure. That way, you'll even find a smile at work sometimes. P.S.: I highly recommend Forno Spadoni, just steps from the bar: much better, much friendlier and more attentive to customer requests, and the croissants are definitely better.
