01/12/2025: I gave the service one star because my reservation made through TheFork was canceled without any communication or explanation. Once I realized the cancellation, I rebooked, and this time it was accepted without issue. I find this reservation management unacceptable because it creates avoidable disruptions and lacks transparency towards the customer. After the owner's comment, I've attached a photo of what happened.

Quality reigns supreme here: extraordinary artichokes, memorable grilled meats, and hand-sliced ​​meatballs that captivate you from the first bite. 05/12/2025: A historic, family-run Roman trattoria in San Lorenzo. Traditional Roman dishes are served in a quaint, welcoming atmosphere, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant is known for being a regular patron of Pier Paolo Pasolini. The former manager was the father of the current owner. The restaurant boasts numerous mementos of the great writer, including the check for 11,000 lire he left to pay for his last dinner on the night of his murder, as well as the jersey he wore to play football, and numerous photographs, in addition to those of other famous people who frequented the restaurant. Fair and reasonable prices, excellent quality.

09/11/2025: We spent an evening waiting for food that never arrived. We waited an hour without receiving part of our order, which was sent to other tables. The staff was very helpful, but unfortunately, due to the number of people they obviously couldn't accommodate, they weren't able to satisfy us. Furthermore, the sushi isn't even that spectacular; good, but absolutely average for other sushi places in Rome.

27/11/2025: I waited until the night was over because I didn't want to be affected by my nerves. EVERYTHING BAD!!! From the service, to the food, and finally the price. But what bothered me the most was the service, the treatment we received. We'd come once quickly for lunch, and it seemed like a welcoming, familiar place, but it was none of that. Maybe because I wasn't wearing a suit and tie? Well... Anyway, they took us to our table, attached to the radiator (it was impossible to stand next to us), and when after a few minutes my partner moved a bit, they arrived annoyed. We asked for the specials of the day, and they told us about fettuccine with mushrooms, but frozen mushrooms because they'd run out of fresh ones. A few minutes later, at the table next to ours, not only did they offer the same dish, but they brought out two crates of fresh mushrooms that day, juicy and fragrant. They then offered us polenta, which we took, and showed up with a watery mush topped with a kilo of cheese and a piece of inedible sausage. Afterwards, we ordered meatballs and parmigiana: dry, olive-sized meatballs, and a single-layer parmigiana (never seen one like this), scorching hot on the outside and freezing cold on the inside(!!!). I was left without bread. When I asked for it, they initially seemed annoyed, then brought it to me after making me wait twenty minutes!! The bill was the worst, except that they charged us for two pieces of focaccia we hadn't even asked for, and they even presented us with an exorbitant bill for what they brought us. Obviously, not only will they never see me again, but I'll do my best to advise as many people as possible not to go. I'll even treat them to dinner somewhere else, and since I live nearby, I'll sometimes take the time to stop in front of them and warn people against going in. These people can't always get away with it!!! One of the WORST places I've ever been in my life, a disgrace for such a beautiful city!!!

We tried again, and the excellent impression was confirmed: friendly service despite the (deserved) crowd. Tonnarello amatriciana, textbook paccheri alla norma, delicious grilled sausage, grilled vegetables, and a very decent house wine. A super welcoming place, and above all, lots of friendly faces. They're always keen to offer new seasonal flavors alongside their signature flavors (Notti d'Oriente is one of my favorites). Truly top-quality ice cream.

07/11/2025: Sushi that focuses less on appearance and more on substance. Well-prepared dishes, varied, and in reasonable quantities. Perfect sashimi, light and easily digestible fried foods. Lower prices than many downtown places where you have a timer to finish your meal and leave. Highly recommended.
