20/08/2024: Rude service manager that holds the reservation book. There are many reviews here talking about how racist the manger and staff are. I did not believe it until my own experience. Those people calling this restaurant an “institution” and assigning other grand accolades are condoning this business’s conduct. They cannot serve sub standard food with racist displays and clearly arrogant waiters and claim it part of their Roman charm. That is an insult to Roman hospitality. I asked the manager about a dish called “beef roll” .. how often does one see beef roll on an Italian menu? he asked me where I was from and then proceeded to draw circles on the dining table paper covering. You can see the handy work in the photo with the red chilli flake bowl ( more on that later) Super condescending, really bad attitude. Disinterested servers too. Lemon veal had the smell and taste of raw meat and not a hint of lemon in a hazy sauce, meant to be usually clear.. Fried zucchini was more like deep fried stale bread with barely noticeable zucchini flower. Never mentioned it was also full of sardines Caprise salad… raw tomatoes and cheese was hard and lacking any flavour. Barely any olive oil. Booked dinner due to a YouTube review but this is a subpar and overhyped restaurant, courtesy of some popular Influencers. My server was rude. Never brought the bread. Never refilled water / nor even opened the bottle. Didn’t even serve the wine. They charge you £2 per person for chilli oil and sea salt. I asked for the 4£chilli oil. The server asked if i wanted it “dry” and upon asking what he meant by dry he just stormed off to the kitchen and came back with a bowl full of red chilli flakes, per photo, near slammed on table and said “DRY” and stormed off again. If this is what some people want to justify as an experience that tourists should embrace, I have to disagree. This is bad tasting food and an unprofessional restaurant manager and rude waiters. People suggesting that tourists should expect less because this is a popular local spot does not make sense. Rome or NY, restaurants owe a good service and respect. This is not a food bank. People pay for good food and good experience. This place offers neither. I think a lot of people hype themselves that just because they are in Italy, the food is superb. I have experienced supremely better Italian food in North America and mostly disappointed with food in Rome.This restaurant is the most overrated in my dining experience.

31/08/2024: Cute overall, but the table outside is too sloping, it feels like being on the Straits of Bonifacio during the crossing, having to hold on to the cutlery to prevent it from flying to the ground. Very kind waiters but not inclined to description, an appetizer tasting of cured meats and cheeses arrives without any description, so I don't know what I'm eating. Very abundant first courses, but really exaggeratedly large, but with too much pepper. Gaviscon will come to help tonight. I've already been years ago and that's why I went back, only to be disappointed by my expectations, I'm sorry but something has really changed. How come?

02/07/2024: Beautiful place in the middle of the countryside between the lake and the sea. We were there for the second time on the occasion of a confirmation and I must say that there wasn't one thing that I liked more than another. Everything was truly excellent, each course was a discovery full of explosive flavour. From appetizers, to first courses, to second courses, including cake. Sincere compliments to all the staff from the cook to the waiters.

08/08/2024: For those who just want to sit together and enjoy a glass of wine, this restaurant might be the right place for you. But when it came to the food and the service, we were extremely disappointed. First of all, we sat there at our assigned place for 10-15 minutes until we had to look for the menu ourselves. The restaurant was packed so the food took 40 minutes to arrive. We were also served the wrong drinks. You also had the feeling that regular guests and tourists were treated differently. While the bedside table was occupied 20 minutes after us, they got their food shortly before us. The two waiters were understaffed to serve this mass of people and the kitchen didn't seem to be able to keep up either. To eat it, the pizza was burnt on the edges and the cooked ham was more like dried meat and the consistencyless mushrooms could taste like they were in the frozen section. The Bolognese was edible but not a fireworks display for the palate. Mind you the bedside table with locals didn't have to contend with dry cooked ham and burnt edges. I would have to guess about the consistency of their pizza. Overall, I can't understand the good rating.

07/08/2024: The pizzas were delicious, we ordered 4: napoli, funghi, capricciosa and diavola. My favorite was the diavola, since it has a strong and somewhat spicy flavor, but that's how we like it in Mexico🇲🇽. The staff's treatment was very pleasant, which is very appreciated after a long bus trip, they can also assist you in Spanish and other languages ​​so it is a plus ✨️. Without a doubt, we will take the opportunity to return during these days that we will be in the city.💯

18/06/2024: I have known this pizzeria since I was a middle school student and I always happily come back to taste their excellent products, products chosen based on their seasonal availability as their commercial says. I recommend the white pizza with chicken and salad. The supplì are also very good. Excellent value for money and above all very friendly and helpful staff.

11/08/2024: The Chiostro del Bramante is a place to visit good-quality contemporary art exhibitions. For years, exhibitions have been organized on a general theme (Love or Dream or Emotion) from which artists create "site specific" works (not all works are created for the exhibition). In a time of "Instagrammable exhibitions" without much sense, the exhibitions at the Chiostro del Bramante are always well-curated and intelligent. There is always a route available for children (with special signs in the rooms and/or a dedicated audio guide). The cafeteria is excellent and the bookshop is very nice. On weekends it is preferable to book.
