15/07/2025: Have been in Rome for 5 days and this was the best we have had so far. If you are staying in the area i highly recommend coming here, gelato is amazing and like other places cheap as hell. We will be going again tomorrow.

11/08/2025: I should point out that we didn't stay at this establishment, but as we were passing through Cartore after a long hike along the Brigands' Trail, we decided to grab a bite to eat in the area. When I discovered that dinner was no longer available at our establishment, and since we didn't have any supplies, we approached what seemed like a welcoming and well-organized establishment. In the late afternoon, we asked for a table but, rightly, were told "no" as they were "full." Later, having realized there were no other options in the area, and unable to stay and starve, we returned to ask for takeout. However, again, the waitresses refused, suggesting we return at 7:30 PM, when the kitchen opens. At 7:30 PM, as soon as we entered, the owner, without even letting us say a word, began complaining that we were too insistent in asking for food, and we were turned away. I've never been denied food on a walk, but working in the restaurant business, I can understand the lack of supplies, especially considering the location. So, we didn't take it too badly, but at the same time, we starved. I'm writing this review because of what happened the following morning: the refusal to offer breakfast. We showed up with other people at opening time, some from the facility and some not, like us. Almost everyone had been served. When our turn came, we asked for a coffee and a cappuccino. The waiter, who didn't know us, was preparing our order. At that point, the owner, recognizing us, stopped him, telling us to come back later and that she was unable to serve us at the moment. In six years of walking, I've never experienced such behavior, because the people I meet along these routes are usually always friendly and extremely helpful. Regarding what happened, some customers we met at the next stop, in Rosciolo, expressed their deepest sympathy for what happened, calling it—in their words—"a shameful scene." It's truly a shame that this beautiful structure suffers from such mismanagement, and it's sad that a key stop like Cartore is affected by this type of attitude, which is certainly not suited to the spirit of the walk.

26/08/2025: A wonderful restaurant on the slope to Cala Nave with a wonderful view. We ate here four times in three days on Ventotene, and there's a reason! There wasn't a single dish we tried that we didn't enjoy. Among the best were the almond-filled prawns, a real treat; the mussel soup, excellent; the seafood scialatielli and the spaghetti with sea urchins...a feast of flavor. If you also love raw fish and pizza, don't miss the Mastaniello, with tuna tartare, burrata, and caramelized onions...wonderful. The prices are perfectly in line with the excellent quality, unlike other restaurants on the island where, despite the great quality, the prices are exorbitant. The only flaw is that there isn't another location closer.

13/08/2025: Simply perfect, though a bit more expensive than others. The food is excellent, and the service is excellent. If you can't figure it out, try English. The atmosphere is good. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

29/06/2025: I would have given infinite stars....a highly recommended place...I ate a spectacularly flavored croissant and a very well made cappuccino....the special feature....open laboratories complete with everything that you remain enchanted to see the progress of the preparations....truly compliments...I recommend it but I will definitely return.

17/06/2025: Reservamos mesa a las 13 h CDT O 13 h : 00 pm un domingo de junio de 2025 . Roma era caliente, así que estábamos deseando el aire acondicionado. El restaurante era cómodo, decorado cuidadosamente para cenar bien, pero cómodo con grandes ventanas brillantes y revestimientos de pared únicos. Elegimos el menú degustación del domingo y quedamos satisfechos con cada plato. El chef usa polvos para saborear platos como el polvo de oliva. No me gustan las aceitunas, pero me encantó el sabor que el polvo le dio al plato. Cada plato integrado en el siguiente plato. El personal era atento, disponible, pero no estaba de pie mirándote. Estaban contentos cuando disfrutamos de un plato y nos preguntaron qué o por qué nos gustó. Los vinos fueron curados y agradables a la vez que se fijan precios para que coincidan con sus gustos y los platos servidos. Todo sobre esta experiencia gastronómica fue una actuación llena de estrellas. Las porciones eran perfectas y nos sentimos como si tuviéramos una comida no solo pequeños bocados.

19/05/2025: Avevamo prenotato in questo locale dall'app guida michelin che ci ha reindirizzati al modulo the fork. Dopo aver compilato i dati degli ospiti ed aver scelto anche i menu degustazioni, il sistema ci ha generato la conferma. arrivati al locale magicamente non c'era più la nostra prenotazione nonostante gli avessimo fatto vedere la conferma generata. non si sono nemmeno degnati di risolvere la situazione. non ci ritorneremo più. il problema era che venivamo dalla calabria appositamente per provare questo stellato.

23/08/2025: It's always a shame for me to leave a negative review, especially when the location is truly delightful: small but meticulously maintained and with a pleasant atmosphere. For this very reason, I believe constructive criticism can help both the owners, helping them grow and improve, and future customers, helping them have a more satisfying experience. During our dinner, however, several inconveniences arose that I must point out. As soon as we sat down, we found the placemat dirty, likely not replaced after the previous service. A detail that alone wouldn't have ruined the evening, but unfortunately it was the first in a series of oversights. We ordered a first course to share and two second courses. Unfortunately, the tagliatelle with lamb ragù was so salty that it was difficult to enjoy. The wild boar meatballs, however, arrived cold and partly burned. Finally, the sliced ​​beef: we weren't asked how it was cooked, and, without a proper knife for serving, we were faced with overcooked, very salty, and difficult to cut meat. A real shame, especially since the prices were decidedly high compared to the actual quality of what we were served. I sincerely hope these observations are helpful: the location has potential, but the cuisine and service deserve more attention to live up to expectations.

17/08/2025: I dined at the inn's restaurant on the evening of my birthday. I'd seen the place by chance, strolling through Tuscania one afternoon, and I have to say it was a truly perfect choice. The place is small and very intimate, with a beautiful view of the church of San Pietro illuminated at night. The food was excellent. It's refined, not ordinary, and very carefully prepared. Everything was beautifully presented and very tasty. You can tell they're making things with love. The young man who served us was wonderful. Super kind, very, very nice, not intrusive, and above all, very young. The owner was friendly and attentive to detail. Overall, a place I recommend if you're passing through Tuscania or if you're a local. I'll definitely be back. They even gave me a little heart with the word "Happy Birthday" written on it, which was unexpected and appreciated. Thank you.

14/06/2025: Last night I had dinner for the first time at this highly reviewed pizzeria. Appetizer: frittatina nerano and potato croquettes, the worst 'Neapolitan' fried foods I've ever eaten (soft, full of oil and probably badly defrosted). Pizzas: Liguria and Campania were good, nothing excellent, for 12 euros each I would have expected much better. The bill was steep. 55 euros to eat two pizzas, two fried foods, two glasses of prosecco and water. Service 2.5 per person, which is crazy since the air conditioning was practically non-existent and the place was as hot as outside.

18/08/2025: The pizza was incredibly delicious, and the staff was friendly. They priced it by the gram, but it wasn't expensive. I loved being able to try a variety of pizzas!! They cut one pizza into four, which made it easy to eat.

09/08/2025: It was my first time, but it won't be my last. Good variety of food, and if you finish your plate, you can refill it...water, wine, bread, and coffee, all for 10 euros! If I went grocery shopping to eat the same amount, turn on the stove, and then wash the dishes, I'd definitely spend more. Morning at the beach (8-12:30), go to Doppiovu for lunch, come home, and relax—you don't even have to clean up the kitchen! Try it!
