04/10/2025: A great place with a pleasant atmosphere. The service was exceptionally friendly; we felt cared for and pampered. We were treated to local delicacies, and the waitress told us about the region. The food was excellent, and the whole experience left us in a good mood. The staff speaks fluent English.

But I will remember my stay at Casal Dragone first and foremost for meeting, over an excellent lunch, exceptional and kind people like the estate's owners and their friendly friends and collaborators. 03/11/2025: We stopped on for a glass of house wine 3.5 euro on Sunday night. Most places serve dinner after 7:30pm, and we had just finished a tour a 6:30, so we came in from the cold to warm up with wine. We sat in a corner cave and enjoyed the cute place. We will come back for a meal.

02/09/2025: For a special occasion, we had lunch at this restaurant on the last Sunday in August. The entire staff welcomed us very warmly. There's convenient parking outside for guests. The interior is entirely made of wood, just as you'd expect from a mountain chalet. The service was impeccable: after we placed our order, despite the crowds, our dishes arrived quickly, and the waiters were friendly and helpful. We ate very well; the dishes were excellently prepared and the food was authentic. A great experience, we'll definitely be back.

28/08/2025: We went to Iris on a trip to the Anzi observatory. The staff made us feel welcome and served us drinks before opening time so that we were comfortable. Food was great. Highly recommend if you are heading up to the observatory to stop here for a bite first.

07/09/2025: Excellent pizza, but the service could be improved, especially on weekends. We arrived at 8:30 PM, and they immediately seated us, but then forgot about us until 10:10 PM, when they finally came by to take our orders. We didn't complain, but, by way of excuse, they told us we were lucky since we hadn't booked! We were speechless, because the place wasn't busy. This is also demonstrated by the fact that our orders arrived quite early, after about half an hour, when we had already given up hope of eating anything... Our kids, exhausted from the wait, left most of their pizza. What a shame! I hope it was just a bad night.

25/07/2025: Locale caratteristico del centro, scavato nella roccia, personale molto gentile e professionale ... il menù presenta i piatti tipici della tradizione lucana con una buona attenzione alla presentazione degli stessi, degni di nota gli strascinati al peperone crusco con crema di ricotta e pomodoro, così come il crostino stracciatella acciughe e peperone crusco, buona anche la tagliata rucola e grana cotta alla brace... conto giusto, consigliato!

14/10/2025: The service is courteous and attentive, not intrusive. I have a few reservations about the seafood appetizers, but that's my personal preference. I believe fish should be treated as simply as possible, but it's clear the chef has tried to offer more innovative dishes that are slightly outside of the traditional norm. Both the grilled fish and the fried mixed seafood are truly excellent (and plentiful). In any case, an experience worth repeating, recommended for seafood lovers.

28/09/2025: Excellent lunch and impeccable dishes. The first course was truly incredible, both in its presentation and the combination of flavors (we had the tagliolini dell'abbate, highly recommended).

26/07/2025: Bon service, salades italiennes faites avec goût. Bien situé, au calme, avec de bonnes tartines, Plus de goût dans les salades permettait d avoir une note parfaite.

22/07/2025: Posto tranquillissimo perché su una stradina secondaria, ma vicino alla piazza principale di Matera. Eccellente tagliere molto carico di salumi e formaggi. Ottima bruschetta. Proprietario gentilissimo. Prezzi onesti. Consigliatissimo! Soprattutto se volete scappare dai posti turistici.
