08/09/2025: A quaint place. Simple but tasty cuisine. We stopped by on a Sunday for lunch; the place was packed, which may have caused confusion and slow service. Overall, though, we're happy with our choice.

07/09/2025: The food wasn't bad, but the staff was rude and excessively slow. We waited an hour for the starters, when customers who arrived after us had time to finish their food and leave. Poor value for money, and the bathroom didn't have toilet paper (for a €2.50 cover charge per person, I would have expected the bare minimum). If you have time to spare, I recommend it for a long lunch; otherwise, you'd be better off choosing a place with more reasonable service.

23/08/2025: An authentic and welcoming trattoria, perfect for those seeking simple, authentic home cooking. The fixed-price menu (€14) is truly affordable: you can choose between a trio of appetizers or a choice of one, followed by a first or second course from the daily specials. A bottle of water is included, while wine is not included. The service is quick and friendly, and the relaxed atmosphere makes you feel at home. A great lunch break with authentic flavors.

17/07/2025: I visited this place almost two months ago, and it left such a great impression! The staff were incredibly nice and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. Would definitely come back again!

21/06/2025: Scardaci is a historic name in Catania and the ice cafè in via etnea is a point of reference. The place combines an ice cream shop and a small café together and has outdoor tables. The granita is excellent, also available in special flavors such as prickly pear, the brioche is excellent, and the ice creams are fabulous. The small pastry shop and the hot food shop are also excellent, the café is very good and despite its small size offers a good selection of hot and cold drinks. The staff is friendly but unfortunately not very present at the tables, especially those on via Etnea. There is also a display case with small items for sale (mainly cups and mugs).

10/06/2025: My happy place for 15 years now, years of which I have been in Catania. From ice cream to granita spectacular unique taste especially the biscuit on ice cream 😍 super breakfast 👍 Every time I am in the center I can't help but stop by 🙏

16/08/2025: A pleasant lunch in a typical Marche restaurant on Ferragosto (August 15th). A Google Maps search revealed it to be an excellent restaurant. Excellent first courses... tasty appetizers and exquisite sliced steak... to finish with delicious desserts. Excellent service and excellent value. A very small... very small... tip... after ordering from appetizer to dessert and coffee... an after-dinner drink/coffee would be the icing on the cake... to offer to customers. Highly recommended.

12/08/2025: I've been there a couple of times, with the excuse that some colleagues and I work in the area, and this place popped up. What can I say? I ate pizza both times, once at noon and once on Thursday evening. We were surprised because we thought we were supposed to have a pizza tour, but they said we'd arrived too late and were no longer doing it (which I didn't quite understand, because it makes no sense, given that they kept bringing pizzas with pizza tours to the tables on the side). So we just ordered from the menu. I have to say that a regular pizza and a Coke for €18 is a bit too expensive for the location and town. Seeing the tiramisu for €7, I gave up on dessert... the pizza was also good, but the quality/price ratio was really disproportionate. In fact, I don't think it will ever be offered again as a place to go for lunch or dinner...

01/05/2025: Lo si sceglie se si vuole la certezza di mangiare bene. Locale sempre carino, accogliente e molto molto pulito. La qualità della cucina è di prim’ordine, con piatti ricercati e mai banali, valorizzati dall’accostamento alla cucina locale, del buonissimo tartufo. Servizio e professionalità sempre ai massimi livelli.

16/04/2025: Huiselijk restaurant met heerlijk eten. Alles was perfect, de pasta, het vlees, de vis en de beste desserts. Aanrader voor wie in de buurt van de Etna verblijft.

18/05/2025: I was coming from Turin and we joined some friends who had booked there. However I expected better, the pizza remained half on the plate.

11/05/2025: I return for the second time to this very elegant pizzeria known on Instagram. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The takeaway pizza was really good both times, I also recommend the pasta and potato omelette. I will definitely go back.
