I called twice to order pizzas to pick up at the restaurant, for 7:30 PM, and both times we had to wait an hour despite the reservation. It seems like a lack of organization and respect for your customers' time. Anyway, I won't be coming back.

Chef Giancarlo Polito is more than just a master in the kitchen... he is a true gentleman. His genuine care for his guests and his dedication to creating unforgettable dining experiences set this restaurant apart. Every visit feels special, thanks to the perfect combination of exquisite cuisine, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay much longer. We absolutely love it here, and La Locanda del Capitano continues to be one of the highlights of our life in Umbria.

26/10/2025: It's located in the center of Palermo, yet in a quiet corner, where you can escape the hustle and bustle of crowded tourist spots. The piazza is very elegant. You can enjoy a good breakfast, the service is quick, and the staff is friendly. A place that's also popular with locals.

It's a shame about the slow, rude service, and the decision to literally kick customers out of their tables without ever informing them of the time limit. We were about to order dessert and coffee when we were told we had to leave because the next group had arrived. Rotating reservations is legal, but it's right that customers should be informed of this at the time of booking, not a minute before being kicked out.

25/11/2025: Don't go on a Saturday night!!! Bad experience. Too crowded in a small space, not enough staff, an hour and a half for three pizzas. However, the food was very good and quick. The meat was delicious, the fish was so-so. I'd go back only for the green pepper fillet.
