I personally feel like I am part of the family and for those like me who are constantly away it is a very welcome aspect.

18/05/2025: I celebrated my son's communion last Sunday with the enthusiasm of having re-booked after the magnificent experience I had 7 years ago with the communion of my firstborn. This is not meant to be a sterile criticism but an invitation, if you deem it appropriate, to review the entire organization. It was a day characterized by total chaos from all points of view. Panicked waiters with no apparent guidance or experience. Terrible choice to "accept" all those communions in a single Sunday. As for the menu, what can I say? It was a total flop, in my opinion, on all the courses or almost, especially on the most obvious ones since it was not characterized by dishes requiring a high level of preparation. (The proposed menus were absolutely basic and not difficult to prepare for a kitchen that boasts years and years of experience). Mine, I repeat, is an absolutely personal opinion aimed, if you deem it appropriate, at reviewing a few aspects. Magnificent DJ, compliments to him!!!! Greetings, and good work to all of you.

01/05/2025: Reality in Bassignana (the only one worthy of note at the moment, as I am not aware of any others). Home made cuisine, acceptable. Definitely acceptable quality/price, location that deserves it, unpretentious and very "humble" which makes the experience at the "Locanda del Re" pleasant. I went to them several times and every time I found availability and courtesy. I recommend the truffle tagliolini if ​​available.

20/06/2025: Da decenni un riferimento per la cucina tipica salentina. Lontano dal mare finalmente un ristorante che permette di apprezzare la vera tipicità della cucina salentina. La disposizione dei tavoli nell'ampio parco ne aumenta il fascino ed il piacere del buon cibo. Il buffet è un po' striminzito e ripetitivo negli antipasti, ma tutti veramente buoni. I primi ed i secondi abbondanti e dal sapore dei piatti tradizionali. Nulla di eccelso, ma le quantità, il gusto della tradizione ed il prezzo meritano di visitare il posto anche frequentemente.

14/06/2025: Locale accogliente, personale gentile, ma agli antipasti self service nessuno ci ha saputo dire il costo(dipende da quello che mettete nei piatti) e chi controlla cosa si mette nei piatti? Gli involtini di melanzane che erano non crude hanno rovinato il piatto. Abbiamo poi preso una portata di fritti( polpette, crocchette di patate e pittule). Le polpette erano solo aglio e carne macinata non di prima qualità, pezzi di carne e nervetti in bocca, le crocchette potevano essere migliori se non fossero state piene di menta che copriva ogni altro sapore, le pittule vuote ma buone. Non è la prima volta che andiamo ma questa volta non ci è piaciuto molto. Riproveremo l’anno prossimo

03/05/2025: VERGOGNOSO, abbiamo appena preso due miseri coni piccoli( per essere chiari quelli piccolissimi con la glassa che vanno a peso) con una pallina impercettibile di gelato( discreto) al costo di €1,50 cad. uno. lo trovo estremamente caro e ingiustificato. 10/06/2025: We were recently and unfortunately we had an unpleasant discussion with the person who served us and then with the alleged owner. In particular, we were asked to pay the single bill for the table. Not having been informed of this before ordering and seeing that the owner arrives saying that it is his house and therefore he is in charge, we show the intention of not wanting to stay. They then allow us to pay individually, but complain about our request. As per verbal promise to the owner, I inform them that where they have decided to make their home is a public place on Italian territory and as such is subject to legislation. To demand a single payment for the table, you must have informed the customers before ordering. If it is true as they told us that there is a sign inside, then I would say that the sign should also be placed outside, for those who sit outside and perhaps written on the menu. I believe that the owner behaved like this believing he was right. I am here now to reiterate that he is wrong and should inform himself better before pointing out those who enter a public place and ask to be able to use one of their rights. I cannot publish a link, but I suggest typing "the restaurant can refuse to make separate bills" into Google and carefully read the first article proposed in Italian, where they explain "the law for everyone". I would also like to point out that if it had been a crowded moment we would not have thought of asking for 3 bills instead of one. There were really few people. I wait here without any rancor but I hope in receiving feedback that you have taken note of your shortcoming and that you have adjusted in order to inform customers before placing an order, and my vote will be reevaluated. 04/06/2025: We went today on the advice of an acquaintance, we had an aperitif with a platter of Tuscan specialties made by them, everything was excellent, the staff were polite and friendly, including the owner, the price was excellent for everything we ate, if we return we will definitely stop here, thanks Laura and Marco
