With each delicacy, a fantastic journey begins through a beautiful world, just like a Terence Hill movie. Smiles and sincere words that come from the heart join the wonderful world of the Russo Girotti pastry shop. Teresa and Roberto are a wonderful Neapolitan couple and are incredible people, both personally and professionally. Emotions of the soul, this is what you will experience every time you come here. 23/08/2025: Bad impression. Ordered a cake for 10 people for my son's birthday the next day. Naturally, there was no price limit, just the size, which therefore had to be large. The next day they gave us a cake that not even the Smurfs would have eaten. They insisted that "for them" it was a cake for 10. I'm from Rome and I've always ordered cakes for 10 that are just right. After a heated discussion, I had to settle for another, slightly larger cake that had been in the fridge since the day before. Party ruined. I'm now reading your response, which borders on a complaint for personal insults, and that doesn't mean I won't proceed in that direction. I am a respected professional and a polite person, as can be seen from the documents on various websites that deal with me. But that has nothing to do with it. If a customer complains about what they consider an injustice, you don't respond with arrogance (you do) "for us the cake..." (I repeat, Lilliputian) "is a 10"!!!! . Period. We're trying to figure out what the problem is and politely address it. The cake he replaced wasn't the same size at all, so much so that he had to change the box and get a larger one. As I was leaving your shop, two ladies approached me to confirm their shock at such treatment. Rest assured, I have no intention of ever setting foot in your shop again, even though your refusal would be subject to legal action. A commercial establishment cannot do so. Not only will I never set foot in your shop again, but neither will the many friends in Penna and Giove to whom I told the incident. Good things. It's still causing controversy. What you wrote qualifies you without further comment and shows who the rude and offensive one is. I don't understand how someone like you can work in contact with the public. I hope for your future customers that this unpleasant episode has taught you to be more polite and helpful. And with that, I'll end this controversy. I've said everything I had to say.

19/10/2025: A late October day, an unexpected lunch for an anniversary. There were about 50 of us, and that says it all. The owners' smiles, as soon as we were welcomed, made me understand how things were going to go. The outdoor setting, but especially the interior, were well-maintained, with attention to those with special dishes, courtesy, kindness, and above all, excellent food. Highly recommended.

18/09/2025: Everything was delicious, from the simple bruschetta to the homemade ricotta and spinach ravioli to the 🍔 with special fries. The pizza caramel is superlative. The girl who served us was truly professional, friendly, and helpful. Everything was excellent.

02/09/2025: The pizza is delicious, truly delicious! The dough is light and easy to digest, topped with fresh, top-quality ingredients. You can tell it's made with care and passion. The manager is kind and friendly, always available, as are all the staff: smiling, welcoming, and quick with their service. The owners are wonderful people, kind and attentive to their customers. The place is quiet, clean, and well-kept: you feel at ease from the moment you arrive. You can choose to enjoy your pizza in, accompanied by an excellent beer, or take it away without waiting thanks to the fast and efficient service. A truly pleasant experience in every way. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves good pizza, prepared with passion and served with a smile. Thank you and congratulations!

07/09/2025: A beautiful restaurant nestled in a charming alleyway, finally given a facelift! The service was precise and attentive, always there when needed. The dishes were delicious and generous; the fish was fresh and well-cooked, and even the fried fish was dry and tasty. The platter featured a good selection of cured meats and cheeses.

27/08/2025: A bistro in the heart of old Gela, in a charming and picturesque square. Friendly and attentive staff. Dishes are made with excellent ingredients and are well-prepared. The combinations are truly remarkable, clearly demonstrating the craftsmanship. I'm not giving it full marks because, unfortunately, the service took a bit too long, and at a certain point the staff got lost in conversation with other customers. Despite this, I recommend a visit if you're passing through Gela. --- Update of August 22, 2025: Seven of us had dinner at **Disiu** and ate outdoors, in a very characteristic Gela alley that created a truly charming atmosphere. I tried both the classic caponata and the fish one: both were very good and beautifully flavored. For my second course, I chose a fried fish dish, which, personally, I was a bit less impressed with than the appetizers. The staff was very kind and helpful, although the wait was a bit long. The bistro recently came under new management (about a month ago), so I imagine it's a testing phase: I hope they find the right balance soon, because the potential is there.

23/08/2025: *Edit* There it is! I remembered it well, the peach pizza! (The review below is from 2 years ago, and I still think about that peach & swordfish pizza.) We had a wonderful time last night. The service was incredibly friendly, the pizza was excellent and rich, with plenty of toppings, yet easy to digest. We didn't even feel thirsty. You guys are GREAT! Thank you! Very interesting dough, perfectly cooked, and a balance between soft and crispy. Top-quality ingredients, and you can taste it, you really can. I chose their marinara, which was excellent. My partner had a simple but perfect Margherita with real fiordilatte on top (I often order marinara because I hate the bad cheeses others use, but here they use real fiordilatte). The price was perfect, and it's a rare occurrence these days, so it deserves to be celebrated. It was a very hot evening, but we'll be back to learn more about the swordfish and peach, and also because I thought it read "fried." 👍 PS: The cecina was delicious, the best I've ever had! It's a little thicker, similar to the Livorno version, but balanced and excellent.

06/10/2025: We arrived at this place, a very nice place, not very crowded, we arrive to order, very kind waitress, they bring us the pizzas, pizza certainly good but I was unable to eat, we order the desserts, I receive a dessert that was supposed to be cold all melted and warm, we get to the cashier to pay and the bill was not entirely adequate for what we consumed, but it was still an experience. 💪🏼

04/09/2025: We had a delicious lunch. The couscous was excellent, with great attention to detail, including the fried eggplant strips. We also had the sea bream with olives and spaghetti pomodoro. Overall, we really enjoyed the taste, the ambiance, and the service. It wasn't your average tourist trap.

The location is elegant and meticulously maintained, perfect for making such an important event special. The atmosphere was welcoming and refined, the service attentive and professional. All the food was truly excellent, high-quality and plentiful. An unforgettable day that we will cherish forever. Highly recommended!
