In the center of Alghero, on a hill, lies this restaurant/bar with a covered patio. It has a classic, slightly dated feel, with evening lights that add a touch of warmth. I would put a little more effort into cleanliness and presentation. The daily menu offers several pasta variations. The spaghetti with clams and bottarga was good. The classic menu is quite satisfying. Service is handled by a friendly waiter/owner who strives to please his customers in a particularly pleasant manner.

I wanted to visit this place based on Google reviews. It wasn't very easy to find, but it was worth it! Pasta was fantastic, the waiter is very funny, but comitted! 🙂 I loved it here, it feels hidden, private and special ♥️

Trattoria Bugamatta

24/07/2026: An absolutely positive experience. The menu offers only three options per course (which I consider a plus), plus desserts. The dishes are simple and well-prepared, using local ingredients. The portions are adequate. The staff was attentive and quick. The atmosphere is very simple. Prices are below average for Ligurian restaurants.
11/07/2026: Homemade food and everything is delicious, it's worth it for how homemade everything is.

05/07/2026: A good Chinese and Japanese restaurant with a direct sea view. In the evening, it offers a magnificent sunset.
25/06/2026: The best food we've found in Santa Marinella. The sushi is fantastic (especially the fried ones). So is the pasta we've tried. You order food via tablet. Easiest to go in and pay. Very affordable place.
