08/03/2025: La Mezza Luna is a must-see for anyone visiting Orvieto, especially for carbonara lovers: simply DELICIOUS! The restaurant offers precise service and a clean environment, with a more than adequate quality-price ratio. The atmosphere is welcoming, although the evening lighting could be improved to make the environment less gloomy. The only flaw found is the difficulty in contacting the restaurant by phone: the number is often busy, so much so that you have to go and book in person. When asked for explanations, the staff assured that they would answer everyone, but the personal experience was different. Despite this small inconvenience, I absolutely recommend La Mezza Luna to anyone who wants to enjoy excellent dishes in a quality restaurant in Orvieto!

06/03/2025: A huge thank you for the warm welcome and kindness of the boss! We came with our 3 month old daughter, who cried a lot, and we were touched by the indulgence and kindness he showed. We never felt like we were too much, quite the contrary! Finally, we asked to take our dishes away, and special mention for the carbonara pasta, absolutely delicious!

30/01/2025: Thank you for choosing to go through the gastronomic city of Orvieto and for choosing to enter this restaurant. The taste of the most basic menu items, tomato bruschetta, truffle pasta, and tomato sauce pasta, was truly excellent. The steak was also great and it was the best restaurant in Italy. It was winter and we arrived before 1 o'clock so there was no waiting, but soon all the tables were occupied.

Rightly famous for its porchetta, but other branded cured meats should absolutely not be overlooked: I tasted a Cinta ham and a rare quality mortadella. Even their cheeses, always locally produced, are at the same level. In addition to the products, the kindness and correctness of the managers should be noted: they package large-sized sandwiches that couldn't be more stuffed, very honest prices highlighted on the blackboard outside the shop. They also have other delicatessen items and a small assortment of wines. Ideal for a tourist's snack (outside there is also a small terrace with some benches and tables), the best way to get to know the famous Umbrian cured meats

24/03/2025: At first, I saw this church and it seemed stunning, but sadly I only got to see the outside of it. The reason behind this is because I was out of euros after visiting Orvieto! Even if I didn't get to enter it, it would seem great to come in. The next time I will explore Orvieto I will make sure to have enough money to spend it on everything! It's also a peaceful and relaxing place to sit on the steps to take a small break.

La varietà e la qualità della cucina non sono descrivibili. Prezzi più che ragionevoli, soprattutto rispetto alla qualità. Location ideale x passare una splendida giornata.

08/03/2025: I went in and asked the gentleman at the counter for a takeaway focaccia with porchetta, I went to the cash register to pay with a debit card and the girl (I think the daughter of the gentleman before) told me that for the takeaway I couldn't pay with a debit card but only cash, effectively inviting me to leave. I point out to him that the gentleman at the counter was already preparing the focaccia so she turns to him angrily, grumbling out loud that "he always does this" (and thank goodness). Given that 9 euros is not a coffee so it is not clear why this decision was made, among other things against the current regulations of the sector I suppose, but making a customer feel this way is truly in bad taste. So he was very courteous but she was really rude. I conclude by saying that the porchetta wasn't bad but the focaccia was rubbery and cold. I'm not going back.

17/02/2025: Amazing experience, we are a big group and went for a lunch. The staff is so welcoming and helpful even we do not have a reservation They are very patience and do not mind to explain us the dishes. The food itself tastes very good! We tried several different dishes, the wild boar with traditional sauce was good. Highly recommend!
