03/04/2026: An excellent restaurant, starting with the owner's kindness, who managed to find us a table for dinner even though we hadn't booked, and prepared it within the promised ten minutes. The atmosphere is warm, informal, yet elegant. The dishes we tried were extraordinary: hand-rolled tagliatelle with local truffles, slow-cooked duck breast, a tasting of local oils, and cod in oil with chickpea cream and squid ink coral. The duck breast, in particular, was breathtaking for its texture, the flavor of the meat and the sauce, and the pairing with the caramelized onion. All thanks to the expert hand of chef Hanna, who meticulously manages the cooking and the quality of the ingredients. The wine list is beautiful, with unusual choices, and an excellent selection of local whites (we're in Orvieto) and reds. It's surprising it's not mentioned by the Gambero Rosso. We'll try it again as soon as possible.

22/03/2026: We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of our tour group. The pasta was especially delicious, but all the other dishes were excellent as well. I think it was the best restaurant I've ever been to in my life. The restaurant's atmosphere was also wonderful, with warm, inviting wooden carvings. I would definitely like to visit again. 18/03/2026: We were in Orvieto on vacation and dined at Gregorio's on two evenings: a truly special experience. Davide and his father welcomed us with great kindness and a very friendly atmosphere, making us feel right at home. The dishes are of the highest quality, refined yet authentic. Homemade bread and pasta with selected grains, carefully selected and truly unique flavors. Every dish is special. A special mention for the desserts: their pudding is a must-try! We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Orvieto.

29/03/2026: The food was absolutely delicious. It was probably the best food I have had in months and I try a lot of different foods. The service was absolutely fantastic the waiters gave us water immediately and bread immediately, and they brought us our food within minutes. And finally the atmosphere. I can’t even describe how amazing it was, it was so delicious and scrumptious. I highly recommend coming here if you are in the area.

05/01/2026: We originally came to Charlie’s looking for pizza but accidentally arrived too early to get pizza. Regardless it was amazing, the vegetable soup was perfect for a cold day. My sister who has celiac, often making it difficult to find an enjoyable dining experience, was met with many options on the menu. She was even given gluten free crackers as an alternative for the bread the rest of us were given. We had many restrictions in our party aside from the celiac, including nut allergies and a vegetarian diet, all of which were accommodated to. The wine and espresso were both amazing and had great flavor. The service was excellent and our server was patient with us, providing us insight on the menu in English. This is most definitely somewhere I would recommend.

12/04/2026: During our short Easter break in Orvieto, my wife and I dined at this restaurant, and we were so thrilled we returned the next evening! The owner offered a warm and friendly welcome, and the menu was extensive and inviting, including many grilled specialties, available in the dining room, as well as tasty appetizers and excellent first courses, including truffles. Mrs. Maria Francesca kindly guided us through the selection of delicious and delicious dishes, providing excellent recommendations. We truly enjoyed our meal. We highly recommend it!

04/04/2026: Good food, top-quality ingredients. Shame about the service. The wait was ridiculous. We came in at 8:30 PM and left at 11:00 PM for a two-course dinner. We mentioned this to the owner and she told us she's been in the business for 50 years. A little more humility is needed in life... Excellent value for money. The place has all the makings of a 5-star restaurant, but it's a shame about the service. I don't know if I'll be back.

21/12/2025: Truly excellent, high-quality ice cream shop. I recommend the fantastic cakes and semifreddos.

06/12/2025: It's now our regular stop, especially after summer motorcycle rides when we can't wait to cool off. Come rain, shine, or winter, we always come here for some excellent ice cream. The new flavors I offer are always amazing and very unique.

04/11/2025: We had lunch here on our last day in Orvieto. We had focaccia with prosciutto, stuffed rabbit with a side dish, and pavlova. The food was very good, the place was very nice, and the service was attentive. Everything was great.

17/10/2025: We booked with The Fork. Excellent welcome. An unsolicited entree kicked off the meal. We asked for a carbonara with a pasta substitution, and they accommodated us without further ado. However, I found the carbonara a bit disjointed, although good. But my 10/10 goes to the Argentine Angus steak with soy sauce reduction. A stroke of genius.

13/01/2026: An average restaurant, but unfortunately, it didn't leave any particular impressions. The tagliata didn't live up to expectations; it's hard to even classify it. Basic service, pleasant atmosphere, two rooms, one more welcoming, the other less so... overall, the experience was rather unimpressive. It's a shame, because there are definitely better options in the Orvieto area.

07/01/2026: Great restaurant! The menu is consistent with the area and local traditions. The first courses were excellent, especially the tagliatelle. We really appreciated the quality of the pasta and its cooking. The service was fast and friendly. Reservations are recommended, as the place filled up quickly. Although the town is small and easy to navigate, the restaurant is conveniently located. A good choice considering the quality and price, even though ours was a quick and simple lunch.

03/04/2026: The dishes are both delicious and visually stunning, and truly exceptional. Some are even experimental, blending diverse culinary traditions with classic Italian cuisine. The interior is stylishly modern and very cozy, with chill jazz playing in the background. The staff is very friendly (especially with children)! Not overpriced! Update 2026 (8 years later): Nothing has changed! On the contrary, it might even be a touch better :)

03/04/2026: The truffle pasta at the restaurant recommended by the guide was delicious. However, ordering at an Italian restaurant felt a bit awkward. I clearly ordered just one pasta dish, but a fried egg came out with it, and the price was similar to the pasta. I was shocked. I don't know if I just mindlessly said okay, but it didn't feel good. I turned around thinking it was a relief since the food was good, but did they pull a trick on me for a moment? Anyway, make sure to check the box stating that you are only eating this when ordering.

13/01/2026: The place is really nice because it basically has two rooms: the historic one and the former pastry shop. I have to say, the food was excellent, and I'd say the desserts were excellent, but the wait was incredibly long (two and a half hours for 9 people to have lunch). I don't know if it was a coincidence that it was a holiday.

06/01/2026: Incredible experience! We were looking for a traditional place and found a treasure. The place is breathtaking, with a visit to the underground cellars that left us speechless! The food is divine: local cuisine, with traditional dishes prepared with top-quality ingredients that amazed us with their quality and flavor. ​Antonio made the difference: rarely have you found a waiter so knowledgeable, cheerful, super attentive, and so friendly. He recommended the best dishes, making us feel truly pampered. If you're looking for quality, impeccable service, and an extraordinary atmosphere, this is the place.

14/04/2026: I had a good time. The place is simple and welcoming, a bit retro but in keeping with the name "osteria." I didn't give it five stars because of the coffee (undrinkable) and the slightly high prices (for an osteria), but that's understandable. Would I go back?! Yes, definitely.

13/04/2026: Easter lunch with a limited menu, but everything was delicious. We especially enjoyed the homemade tagliolini with pancetta and artichokes, the roasted rabbit with potatoes, and my daughter's tiramisu.
