The rustic and welcoming atmosphere is perfect for enjoying traditional dishes and age-old recipes, prepared with great care. Prices are significantly lower than those in the city center, but the quality remains high. Reservations are highly recommended.

20/12/2025: We spent 5 days in Gubbio and came here 4 of the 5! Twice for dinner and twice just to enjoy some fantastic wine before dinner elsewhere. The owner is very personable and knowledgeable...loves to talk with you about wines of the region and makes great recommendations. We were made to feel as welcome as if we were his local regulars! They will open many different wines by the glass...more so than other places we have been that limit what they are willing to open. The wine selection is outstanding and the charcuterie board a delicious sampling of regional meats, cheeses and accompaniments. We particularly loved the Cresia which can be made with toppings of your choice..."bacon" and onion for us was heaven! We sat inside but they also have a nice heated area outside. Please don't miss this spot on your visit to Gubbio...even better, stop here first to get great information about what you may want to experience while exploring wine in Umbria. If only I could have put this shop in my suitcase and taken it home with me!

01/02/2026: Visited on January 17, 2026. The restaurant is spacious and well-maintained, with efficient service. I ordered the typical Gubbio menu: a cured meats appetizer, pappardelle with goose sauce, friccò with crescia, a country salad, and tozzetti with vin santo, all for €25. Considering I left a full table, I'd say the price was very reasonable for the food, which was not only plentiful but also very good. Highly recommended!!

12/01/2026: A restaurant very close to Piazza 40 Martiri in Gubbio. Friendly staff, fast service, good food, and a simple, casual atmosphere, suitable for groups. I'll definitely be back.

28/12/2025: We visited this restaurant on December 28th, in the midst of the Christmas festivities. The crowds certainly didn't help the staff's performance. The wait times were biblical (over half an hour for four tozzetti with two glasses of Vin Santo, because they'd forgotten which course we'd arrived for), and the pasta with wild boar ragù arrived cold, overcooked, and with a ragù that, both in taste and appearance, resembled the ones prepared in a jar (to be fair, we were asked if we wanted the dish back, but we declined due to the delay in bringing the courses). When we informed the cashier of this at checkout (because they'd asked how our lunch had gone), we were met with the response, "But all restaurants use ready-made sauces" and "Were you in a hurry for dessert?" In short, not exactly professional. The only positive note is the cold cuts, crescia, and all the dishes not prepared by them (since the second course was passing off pancetta as guanciale). The price, however, is no less than other typical and daily menus at other restaurants in the area, which definitely offer better quality and the attitude of some of the staff. Not recommended.

08/02/2026: When we go to or come back from Rome it is our fixed point for a break, whether for a coffee or to have an excellent meal.

02/02/2026: Modern, welcoming, and very clean; spotless, state-of-the-art bathrooms; extremely kind and helpful staff; delicious food at a reasonable price (we had three pizzas and a bottle of water for less than €30). Recommended!

23/12/2025: A place immersed in nature, just a few kilometers from Gubbio. The traditional menu is rich and delicious. The staff is truly friendly. The downstairs dining room is welcoming, and the fireplace added a charming touch to the experience. There were 12 of us at the table, and everyone was satisfied. Recommended.

10/09/2025: Beautiful place with friendly reception and provides amazing massages. The pool is a bonus for sunny days. Food is OK, rooms attractive but very hot, with thin walls to hear others talking in adjacent rooms, and the bed wakes you every time a bare movement is made due to loud creaking. Would I return? No, as the massages and pool alone isn't a big enough selling factor.
