Excellent place, although a bit chaotic. Reservations highly recommended. This is the second restaurant we've visited in Alessandro Borghese's "4 Ristoranti." We ordered two side dishes and two meat dishes. The wait was long, but the room at -1 was unfortunately crowded with a table for two families and six children. Unfortunately, we didn't fully enjoy the dinner.

We wanted to try some typical Gubbio dishes, and Locanda del Duca exceeded our expectations. The restaurant is well-kept, the location is charming, the staff is kind and friendly, the food is delicious, and the price is reasonable. We were very satisfied.

A delightful lunch, with excellent food and a warm (and patient) service. Highly recommended, especially the pork belly, which was wonderful.

An authentic immersive experience in the Eugubine villages, enhanced by top-notch cuisine, executed with great skill. The service is impeccable. Ludovica, in addition to being distinguished by her warm welcome and kindness, demonstrates truly extraordinary professionalism: a rare and precious presence.
A private dinner transformed, thanks to the atmosphere and the attention received, into an intimate and familiar experience, worthy of the finest restaurants.

If Gubbio is the "City of Stone," Locanda del Duca is certainly its welcoming soul.
Dining here wasn't just a meal, but a timeless atmosphere, where every detail speaks of love for the region and hospitality.
The cuisine is a triumph of authentic flavors.
The tagliata with porcini mushrooms and baked potatoes was a revelation: tender meat, fresh mushrooms with an intoxicating aroma, and potatoes that had that authentic flavor of yesteryear.
To top it off, the homemade tiramisu: creamy, balanced, prepared "as it once was."
A dessert that's more than just a dessert, but a true embrace of memories and quality.
But what makes this place truly extraordinary is the service.
A special mention goes to Ludovica, the maître d'.
Watching her manage the entire restaurant alone was a spectacle of rare professionalism: with natural elegance and a smile undimmed by fatigue, she pampered every table as if it were unique.
Ludovica doesn't just serve, she guides guests with impeccable skill, moving from table to table with a grace and efficiency that leaves them speechless. Finding someone capable of single-handedly managing the pace of a dining room while maintaining such high standards of courtesy and attentiveness is a rare and unique experience.
If you're looking for the true essence of Gubbio, made of sublime dishes and a heartwarming welcome, Locanda del Duca is a must-see.
Thanks to Ludovica for making our evening unforgettable.

We went to dinner at Locanda del Duca because we'd heard about it thanks to its participation in Quattro Ristoranti.
The place is picturesque, in the heart of the old town. We had an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses. The cheeses are all excellent, as are the jams and honey that accompanied them. The pork cured meats are good, but the wild boar ones are exceptional. For our first course, we had tagliatelle with white wild boar ragù, with lemon zest and cocoa. The pasta was cooked perfectly, but it's a shame the lemon overwhelmed all the flavors. The ravioli with pecorino fondue, walnuts, and pears were perfect, 5/5. We finished with grandma's tiramisu, with a cream more similar to zabaglione than the classic one, but it was delicious! The service was attentive, the waitresses were kind and attentive, and they described all the dishes in great detail. We spent €96.
My husband wanted to give a final rating to confirm or overturn the result, but Borghese had already done that! 🤣
A truly refined restaurant, with a modern look that retains its history. Impeccable staff and service, and excellent traditional food!
I absolutely recommend trying it if you're passing through Gubbio!
