I had lunch here with my girlfriend and we had a great time. The staff was very helpful, the food was delicious, and dining with a view like that is priceless! Highly recommended.

Anyone who dares to tackle the (seemingly) 78 hairpin bends of the narrow, winding road up to the Haidenhof will be doubly rewarded: with a menu rich in delicacies and a view that is second to none. With pork knuckle on your plate and Lebenberg Castle in the distance, God must be from South Tyrol.

03/05/2026: Pizza dinner on May 2, 2026. The atmosphere was quite intimate, with smiling, friendly, and attentive service! After a homemade carpaccio appetizer (worthy of note!), we ordered the mountain pizza and the devil pizza... I think they were among the best pizzas we've ever eaten! Truly exceptional! Despite being very rich (with Sesto cheese), they were also very easy to digest! Compliments to the pizza chefs! Highly recommended!
06/04/2026: Four of us had lunch, with various first and second courses.
Everything was very good.
The prices were a bit high compared to a few years ago, when they were better than other nearby restaurants.

03/06/2026: Our group of five was warmly welcomed just before closing time. We received excellent suggestions, enjoyed a superb meal, and had a wonderful time together. The server who served us was very friendly. The value for money is unbeatable. It was delicious and inexpensive. Thank you :)

03/05/2026: We get so annoyed when we're near the ice cream parlor on Mondays or Tuesdays. Unfortunately, those are their days off... So we always have to schedule the kids' vaccination appointments for other weekdays so they can have their favorite ice cream as a reward ;-) We've tried so many ice cream parlors in the Puster Valley, and this is our favorite! I personally love the yogurt-fruit flavors, which change regularly (e.g., yogurt-passion fruit). It's a shame they don't serve drinks, but the next bar or supermarket isn't far away. Please keep up the good work!

18/04/2026: Cipriana is a fantastic, upscale village restaurant. For a more intimate atmosphere, there's a separate area with just five tables.
The menu covers all the bases of Italian cuisine. The wine list is extensive and features award-winning wines from Trentino. I can honestly say the chef(s) are absolutely top-notch. All the ingredients are sourced locally. My favorite was the beef fillet with green peppercorns. The meat was of superb quality, tender, medium-rare, and cooked to perfection. The risotto was a true delight.
Simply put, if you have the chance, stop by and enjoy this delicious meal.

We were greeted by very attentive staff.
We opted for the truffle pasta, which was by far one of the best we've ever eaten. In addition to a wide selection of wines, there were also excellent non-alcoholic aperitif options.
We were also served a delicious little amuse-bouche with our meal.
We'll definitely be back!
15/05/2026: We appreciated that the kitchen was willing to accommodate a couple of extra wishes regarding the food. The waiters were knowledgeable and could give good recommendations for food and wine. All over a very good experience in Riva.

Very beautiful, harmonious, clean, and stylish rooms and guest areas. Here, you truly feel like royalty. The à la carte menu was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Excellent quality at a fair price.

It's a truly magnificent mountain hut, completely immersed in nature and immaculately maintained, far from the hustle and bustle of the ski lifts. The effort to get there is more than worth it; it's surrounded by lakes and numerous animals raised by the owners. The place is very picturesque, and the owners were friendly and helpful. The menu isn't extensive, but every dish was truly delicious.
I highly recommend it for those who love hiking and good food!

29/03/2026: A beautiful mountain refuge. Characterful and attentive to the smallest details. Very friendly and smiling staff. The meat from the open grill and the delicious gnocchi are especially worth it. I recommend it.
28/03/2026: A mountain hut for foreigners who ski, attracted by its location on the slopes... it offers subpar cuisine compared to the setting and the many mountain huts found in Val Gardena. I ordered beetroot dumplings in gorgonzola sauce... DISGUSTING! The dumplings were dry and rubbery, and the sauce, laced with too much cream (not gorgonzola at all), made the dish cloying. The owner asked me why I'd left such a large portion, and when I explained... like a good, arrogant Val Gardena local, she replied, "It's good, I've eaten it many times." Kudos for taking the (ironic) feedback into account!
