21/08/2024: Excellent inn with a breathtaking view and excellent food with attention to the smallest details with good quality products and attentive and kind service. It's one of my favorite places, I'll be happy to return next time.

26/07/2024: Visited in early July, went without a reservation, so 4 people sat at the remaining 2-person table (it was narrow), but soon more guests who didn't make a reservation came and shared a table for 4. All the food was delicious, lasagna recommended.

22/07/2024: One of our most memorable dinners of the trip in Italy! Small cosy restaurant so best to call for bookings in advance. We were served by the owner himself who was very friendly and kind. Food was delightful with comforting warm flavours, with generous portions. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice dinner spot in Montalcino

26/08/2024: Abbiamo scelto questo posto in base alle indicazioni sul sito e per la sua posizione, centrale in Montalcino e vicino al nostro B&B. Inoltre ci attirava il fatto di essere anche un'enoteca. Siamo stati accolti in maniera molto cordiale e professionale. Al tavolo siamo stati seguiti principalmente da Abi, che ci ha saputo ottimamente consigliare sia per il cibo ma soprattutto per il vino. Inoltre volendo consumare un calice di Brunello come "fine pasto", sempre Abi non solo ci ha consigliato ma ci ha fatto anche assaggiare ben tre tipi diversi di Brunello per poter sceglierequello che più soddisfaceva i nostri gusti. Consiglio quindi vivamente questo ristorante-enoteca, molto bello anche per i suoi inteni.

25/08/2024: Premetto che dopo 3 giorni di cibo pressoché mediocre in Val d’Orcia, poco autentico, abbiamo finalmente trovato un ristorante/enoteca dove ogni piatto è particolarmente curato e gustoso, non banale. Complimenti anche per la varietà: non solo chianina e pecorino, (che sinceramente ci uscivano dagli occhi!) Piatti anche per vegetariani. Brunello ovviamente superbo, possibilità di fare una degustazione durante il pasto e poterlo poi acquistare, senza nessuna pressione! Perfetto!!

20/08/2024: We were here for lunch: Excellent service, friendly, helpful and attentive restaurateur. Typical dishes at a good price, generous portions and drinkable and paired house wine. Panoramic terrace small but worth it. Cool place. We will definitely be back

24/08/2024: How many times have we found a common restaurant behind the name trattorias, taverns, bistros etc? I almost always do, it's just that each of these classifications should have completely different prices and characteristics from each other. This is to say that here we are probably close to the reality of the facts... And I would also add that here the rule "the customer is always right" falters. There are two owners, one in the kitchen and one in the dining room, they do what they can and as far as the food is concerned, very well. The service is unfortunately quite slow but if you can get over it you won't leave disappointed. Excellent flan, cured meats and pici, the cut is a little tough but in all cases you will notice the quality of the products. From us, however, thanks and we will certainly return, the "good cuisine" deserves patience!!!!!

23/08/2024: In the space of a week, despite having to travel several kilometres, we returned to enjoy the delicacies of this almost anonymous restaurant. The courtesy and quality of the food are truly priceless. If we add to all this a significantly lower cost than the average for the area, this is a restaurant worth recommending and trying. The pici alla gricia and the meat tartare are fantastic

28/08/2024: During our vacation we had the best pasta we had in Italy! We went to this restaurant 3 out of 5 days in Torrenieri. The ambience isn't all that special but since it's about the food that's not important because the food is absolutely great craftsmanship. Unfortunately there is no menu but the changing menu is told to you by the waiters. Here you should understand a little Italian, but even if you don't you will get something great to eat. The pasta and gnocchi are homemade, the pappardelle al'arrabiata was unexpectedly the tastiest thing I had here. But also gnocchi with white ragout, I don't know how you get so much flavor in a simple meal :) We even got a carbonara upon pre-order, great service :) The main courses were good home-style cooking, although the taste wasn't exactly ours, but here too you could tell that the cuisine was top-notch; the meat, for example, was as soft as butter. If you find yourself in this small town you should definitely try this restaurant :)

27/07/2024: Exceptional wine shop, with a restaurant full of typical Tuscan dishes, including Florentine steak! Advised! The best first course, in my opinion, is pici with white Chianina ragù.

28/07/2024: Assortment of sausages and cheeses, all homemade and of quality, a plate enough for 2 people to share thinking about having a second. Accompanied with delicious homemade bread. As a second, homemade pasta with ragout. You have 2 types to choose from and 4 sauces, it has more things but we prefer to try the pasta, without a doubt the best I have ever eaten, it melts in your mouth. For dessert, homemade tiramisu, very very good, with little coffee flavor, and cheesecake with caramel, also very delicious. a dinner of 10!

15/07/2024: Excellent food; I highly recommend trying a simple focaccia with tomatoes and mozzarella. Good service as the food was recommended to me practically immediately after the order was placed. I gave the room 4 stars because it is nice, but not very spacious

12/07/2024: Absolute recommendation for the pizza slices, super tasty and crispy, and also very cheap (2.50 EUR for a slice). Just the thing for in between meals

15/07/2024: Da sempre per noi Barbi non era solo ottima cantina di vini.ma anche una delizia per il palato con raffinati piatti toscani curatissimi!! Da qualche anno il ristorante ha purtroppo ceduto il.passo ad un angolo di degustazione.Un peccato ma sicuramente comunque una soluzione piacevole con ottimi prodotti e vini eccellenti. Quest'anno abbiamo portato amici con noi..e ci siamo trovati nella bellissima sala a gistare formaggi e salumi di prima qualità...ma ERRORE INACCETTABILE ,,considerando la location ed i prodotti, portando a tavola un pane rinsecchito e vecchio che neppure le galline ambirebbero trovar come dieta! Non si può cadere su questo.....son cose che si pagano e sia noi che i nostri amici siamo rimasti DELUSISSIMI tanto da non voler tornare più sicuramente! Un pane stantio..non aiuta a valorizzare come si dovrebbe gli ottimi prodotti oltretutto non certo "regalati"! Esperienza di anni che si chiude qui!
