30/03/2026: Re di Macchia is exactly what you hope to find in a Tuscan hill town—an intimate, welcoming trattoria serving traditional dishes with real care. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The restaurant is small and cozy, and the hospitality makes the whole experience feel personal. We had a reservation at opening, and had a chance to meet the owner. He was so authentic, and caring, which absolutely came through in the meals. We had 2 excellent meals. My wife had the mushroom lasagna, and it was excellent—rich, comforting, and clearly made with care. I went with the steak topped with Parmesan, which was perfectly cooked and incredibly tender, with just the right balance of flavor. This restaurant is a must do for anyone wanting an authentic, high-quality Tuscan food in a welcoming setting.

28/03/2026: Memorable meal in Montalcino at this family run restaurant. Excellent service, cozy ambiance and nostalgic food that left us with a smile on our face. We had the broccoli soufflé, eggplant parmigiana, steak, cannellini beans and tiramisu. Paired it all with a very delicious bottle of Brunello di Montalcino. Lovely meal at a place worth returning to.

09/11/2025: This inn was a gem on our trip to discover Tuscany. It immediately strikes you with its location, its breathtaking view, and the tranquility that reigns. The staff was super kind and helpful, suggesting modifications to the dishes to make them vegetarian-friendly. The flavors are authentic and homey, the dishes are seasonal, and the produce comes from the garden. The entrée and first courses were exceptional, as were the desserts, accompanied by coffee from the moka pot. Highly recommended

24/10/2025: 10/10 experience in Tuscany. This was the highlight of our recent trip to Italy. Alessandro and his family were so lovely. He is an amazing storyteller, a kind human, and so much fun to be around. We loved learning how to make homemade pasta, tiramisu and some other delicious Tuscan food. We had the most wonderful day with Alessandro and the other guests, the food and wine were delicious, and this is an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!!!

09/02/2026: A place from another era, the dining room certainly isn't the most modern, but inside you can feel the spartan, timeless charm of bold Tuscany. Homemade, fresh dishes, made with top-quality ingredients, and truly affordable prices. As it is, it's a classic trattoria that always proves to be a sure thing, far from those places that turn out to be tourist traps. A family-run local restaurant. Their Cinta Senese ragù with pinci is unparalleled: a spectacle! Dishes are paired with local wines, usually from the Fanti winery. The view from the dining room is spectacular.

06/01/2026: We were lucky enough to find a spot on the veranda, which was definitely better than the dining room at the entrance. The waitress was very kind and helpful, even though she was alone that day, and as soon as a few more people arrived, service began to slow down considerably. The house antipasto is absolutely worth it; the bruschetta was one better than the last! As for the Pinci, however, we were disappointed both by the pasta (overcooked) and by the sauce for the pinci with ragù, which was delicious, but we weren't thrilled with the fact that it was "supported" by the white pasta. The house wine was good! Overall, it's a place I recommend for its value!

12/10/2025: Welcoming and well-organized location. On a sunny day like the one we just had, it's a worthwhile place, nestled in a totally relaxing square. The service was helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The food was excellent! We each ordered various dishes, which we then sampled... Really good!!! Portions were decent. The price tends to be high for the simplicity of the dish itself... But it's still worth it. The Florentine steak was wonderful!!! You can't miss it. I recommend it! Excellent place

05/04/2026: Dry bread for the appetizer. The waiter was unfriendly to the point of being impossible. Not recommended! Don't go there!

10/04/2026: Aside from the atmosphere (we were inside, and I don't know if there's a terrace. It's understandable and not bad at all, but I have to be honest about giving 5 stars to something else...), we had a wonderful time! The person who served us was very kind, I think the owner. We ate simple but delicious and light meals. Thank you, and well done! We'll be back as soon as we can.

21/10/2025: If you are driving in Italy you can't go wrong with Si Montalcino Hotel. Clean, well kept with a very friendly staff. great parking that is close to the hotels lobby. It's only 5 minutes away from Montalcino which is a nice place to visit.

05/04/2026: We stayed one night after a day of motorcycle touring. The location is perfect for visiting Montalcino, and there's also parking for motorcycles and cars. The view of the Tuscan hills is stunning. We had a hearty and delicious breakfast, featuring traditional cured meats. The service was welcoming and extremely kind, even helping us fix a problem with our motorcycle. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the beds are very comfortable. We'll be back!

09/04/2026: Excellent dinner featuring pappardelle with duck ragù, rosemary and salt-cured steak, baked potatoes, and grilled vegetables. Excellent quality ingredients, perfectly cooked meat, and very friendly service (the after-dinner drink was the icing on the cake)! Highly recommended. :)

09/12/2025: I had breakfast there and a pizza there in the evening. It has a magnificent view of the Montalcino valley; otherwise, the place has simple, very spartan decor, but its true value lies in being a meeting place for the locals, the real ones. The croissants are average, but that's something it shares with other bars in town. The pizza is very good. The service is courteous, and the quality/price ratio is good.

27/11/2025: We had a wonderful stay. The pool is large and really warm – even in the colder months. The service and friendliness of the hosts are exceptional, so I'm definitely giving it 5 stars. The only thing I didn't like "perfectly" was the dining room; I prefer a bit more privacy with more space between the tables, but that's really a minor point. You can easily reach some great hiking trails directly from the hotel, and the view is beautiful. We'll definitely be back!

04/04/2026: I stopped by for coffee before going up the Montalcino fortress walls, and it was a very friendly and pleasant cafe. I had an Aperol Spritz and a latte, and it was the best time to relax. Thank you.

27/03/2026: Nice little place. Good food. Service...being a small town, everyone knows everyone, including the waiters, and they would start chatting with their acquaintances as they walked past without noticing us. So there were long waits to ask for anything.
