21/01/2026: We first came to this restaurant 16 years ago, and ever since, it has remained in our hearts for its quality, its warm and intimate atmosphere, and its truly authentic management.
A wonderful place that we often think about now that we live abroad, and which sets the standard for any other restaurant in the world.

11/01/2026: Excellent restaurant. Dinner for four with an appetizer, two excellent first courses for the girls, a Florentine steak for us, three desserts, two glasses of Brunello and one of Montalcino red, for about €160. The price is fair for the quality of the food and the service. The atmosphere isn't the best; I'd improve the decor.

09/11/2025: This inn was a gem on our trip to discover Tuscany. It immediately strikes you with its location, its breathtaking view, and the tranquility that reigns.
The staff was super kind and helpful, suggesting modifications to the dishes to make them vegetarian-friendly. The flavors are authentic and homey, the dishes are seasonal, and the produce comes from the garden. The entrée and first courses were exceptional, as were the desserts, accompanied by coffee from the moka pot.

24/10/2025: 10/10 experience in Tuscany. This was the highlight of our recent trip to Italy. Alessandro and his family were so lovely. He is an amazing storyteller, a kind human, and so much fun to be around. We loved learning how to make homemade pasta, tiramisu and some other delicious Tuscan food. We had the most wonderful day with Alessandro and the other guests, the food and wine were delicious, and this is an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!!!

06/01/2026: We were lucky enough to find a spot on the veranda, which was definitely better than the dining room at the entrance. The waitress was very kind and helpful, even though she was alone that day, and as soon as a few more people arrived, service began to slow down considerably. The house antipasto is absolutely worth it; the bruschetta was one better than the last! As for the Pinci, however, we were disappointed both by the pasta (overcooked) and by the sauce for the pinci with ragù, which was delicious, but we weren't thrilled with the fact that it was "supported" by the white pasta. The house wine was good! Overall, it's a place I recommend for its value!
03/01/2026: The waiter deserves a special mention, as he pampered us throughout the meal. He offered us a taste of every dish we ate, from bread and olive oil to biscotti with vin santo. His kindness and generosity were infinite.
We had mixed crostini, guinea fowl, and rabbit—all excellent. The bill was truly fair. Highly recommended!

Castello Banfi - Sala dei Grappoli

10/11/2025: This was our second stay at Il Borgo but it won't be the last. The staff, from top to bottom, are dedicated to their jobs and you can tell they love working there. The wait and kitchen staff at La Taverna and La Sala dei Grappoli are true professionals. We enjoyed one meal at each and both were the highlights of our visit. We will happily make reservations next spring when we have our annual spring trip to Toscana. Keep up the great work!
01/11/2025: Our stay at Castello Banfi was the one the best vacation experiences. The staff was excellent and just the best. We loved every minute of our stay at Castello Banfi. La Taverna was amazing, the food excellent. We will do everything we can to stay again.

31/01/2026: Beautiful place, very welcoming, and with a truly pleasant atmosphere. The staff is friendly, cheerful, and knows how to recommend what to order. The menu features carefully selected dishes and top-quality ingredients, all delicious and beautifully presented. Portions are adequate, and prices are average for the quality. A place where you can eat well and feel equally at home—I'll definitely be back!
05/01/2026: The quality of the food and the wine selection were excellent.
The staff were welcoming and friendly, and thanks especially to Marco, who was so friendly and even offered a glass of Riserva in addition to the one I'd already tried.
And last but not least, the opening hours were excellent, especially at a time when practically all restaurants in Montalcino close at 9:00 PM; the Enoteca stays open late.
Highly recommended, and we'll definitely be back.

12/10/2025: Welcoming and well-organized location. On a sunny day like the one we just had, it's a worthwhile place, nestled in a totally relaxing square. The service was helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The food was excellent! We each ordered various dishes, which we then sampled... Really good!!! Portions were decent. The price tends to be high for the simplicity of the dish itself... But it's still worth it. The Florentine steak was wonderful!!! You can't miss it.
I recommend it! Excellent place

21/10/2025: If you are driving in Italy you can't go wrong with Si Montalcino Hotel. Clean, well kept with a very friendly staff. great parking that is close to the hotels lobby. It's only 5 minutes away from Montalcino which is a nice place to visit.
11/08/2025: We stayed a few days and had a great time. The rooms are simple and, in my opinion, could use some updating. However, the service is top-notch and the staff is extremely friendly. Breakfast was excellent.

27/11/2025: We had a wonderful stay. The pool is large and really warm – even in the colder months. The service and friendliness of the hosts are exceptional, so I'm definitely giving it 5 stars. The only thing I didn't like "perfectly" was the dining room; I prefer a bit more privacy with more space between the tables, but that's really a minor point. You can easily reach some great hiking trails directly from the hotel, and the view is beautiful. We'll definitely be back!

30/12/2025: The staff were very knowledgeable and welcoming. We enjoyed typical Tuscan dishes at very reasonable prices while sipping an excellent glass of Montalcino red.
28/12/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance. The restaurant was full, but they kept us waiting very little and found a way to enjoy delicious dishes. They have no problem with dogs. The tiramisu was spectacular.

15/01/2026: Long wait times for orders, small portions, and rather stiff service. One of the ordered dishes (grilled vegetables) was missing, and an extra bottle of water was added to the bill.
All of this added up to a rather disappointing experience.
03/01/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant in the center of Montalcino... Pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, and truly delicious food... Highly recommended are the pici all'aglione.

17/01/2026: We were invited for a birthday party and had a wonderful lunch. Authentic food, a blend of Tuscan and Sardinian cuisine... the result was truly excellent.
29/12/2025: We went for lunch yesterday, we ate well, we had 1 pappardelle with tomato sauce for the little girl and it was very good and for us adults we had 1 veal stew and 1 tripe, all exceptional. Then we had 1 water and 1/2 bottles of red wine, 3 desserts and 2 coffees for €63. I would say the price is average, I don't think you can find anything less. Fast service. I highly recommend it.
