21/11/2024: Characteristic inn located outside Montalcino. External veranda and tables outside. Wide open spaces for children. Limited places, reservations recommended. Excellent food, prepared with care and genuine products. Menu with wide choices. Excellent wine, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Recommended if you want to try something different from the usual restaurant.

05/11/2024: Fantastic venue and delicious food. Kindness and professionalism. Definitely worth trying. The first with lentils and chestnuts was pure magic!

03/12/2024: ¡Prometimos que volveríamos! Esta vez, dos años después, con amigos que se quedan con nosotros en Florencia durante unas semanas. Esta visita fue para un almuerzo tardío y no decepcionó! El servicio es perfecto, pero lo más destacado es el menú que es lo mejor que la Toscana tiene para ofrecer. Nuestros compañeros de viaje les encantó su comida. No muy a menudo la comida supera la acumulación. Una vez más, esperamos con interés la próxima visita.

08/11/2024: Locale carino e tipico, personale gentile, cucina genuina. Pici cacio e pepe perfetti, brasato di manzo al vino rosso e faraona al vin santo molto buoni. Tiramisù fatto rigorosamente in casa fantastico. Direi consigliato.

14/12/2024: Excellent friendliness. Handy staff. They offered 1 side dish, 1/2 liter of wine, a glass of Brunello, grappa and moscato. Excellent food. Highly recommended!

29/11/2024: Excellent aperitif: superlative grotto platter (no photo because we couldn't resist!) as well as the crostoni with cheese and tomato soup. Attentive and courteous service, with precise indications for each glass of wine. Advised!

24/08/2024: How many times have we found a common restaurant behind the name trattorias, taverns, bistros etc? I almost always do, it's just that each of these classifications should have completely different prices and characteristics from each other. This is to say that here we are probably close to the reality of the facts... And I would also add that here the rule "the customer is always right" falters. There are two owners, one in the kitchen and one in the dining room, they do what they can and as far as the food is concerned, very well. The service is unfortunately quite slow but if you can get over it you won't leave disappointed. Excellent flan, cured meats and pici, the cut is a little tough but in all cases you will notice the quality of the products. From us, however, thanks and we will certainly return, the "good cuisine" deserves patience!!!!!

23/08/2024: In the space of a week, despite having to travel several kilometres, we returned to enjoy the delicacies of this almost anonymous restaurant. The courtesy and quality of the food are truly priceless. If we add to all this a significantly lower cost than the average for the area, this is a restaurant worth recommending and trying. The pici alla gricia and the meat tartare are fantastic

10/12/2024: Ristorante sempre sul pezzo da anni ove si respira tipicità e “toscanita’”. Il menù ben strutturato servito da personale attento e dai responsabili locale,colloca,per esperienze personali,questa trattoria,nell’elite dei locali di pari grado. Le materie prime utilizzate inoltre,sono risultate più che genuine in particolar modo la bistecca con filetto prescelta,ottima e dai sapori autentici. Rapporto qualità prezzi discreto ed esperienza più che consigliata.

05/12/2024: Este restaurante es imprescindible si te gusta la muy buena comida y los vinos fantásticos. Nos encanta visitar este lugar y la bienvenida de Simone y su maravillosa madre es el comienzo perfecto de una gran noche. Simone siempre tiene tiempo para una charla y para encontrar la combinación perfecta de vino con la comida. El restaurante está muy bien situado en la esquina de la plaza. Cuando estamos en Montalcino, siempre planeamos una noche aquí - o dos si es posible.

24/11/2024: Little place found by chance. Owner/waiter super helpful and welcoming. I highly recommend it to everyone. Excellent food and desserts……..YUMMY! We will be back!

28/08/2024: During our vacation we had the best pasta we had in Italy! We went to this restaurant 3 out of 5 days in Torrenieri. The ambience isn't all that special but since it's about the food that's not important because the food is absolutely great craftsmanship. Unfortunately there is no menu but the changing menu is told to you by the waiters. Here you should understand a little Italian, but even if you don't you will get something great to eat. The pasta and gnocchi are homemade, the pappardelle al'arrabiata was unexpectedly the tastiest thing I had here. But also gnocchi with white ragout, I don't know how you get so much flavor in a simple meal :) We even got a carbonara upon pre-order, great service :) The main courses were good home-style cooking, although the taste wasn't exactly ours, but here too you could tell that the cuisine was top-notch; the meat, for example, was as soft as butter. If you find yourself in this small town you should definitely try this restaurant :)

18/10/2024: Helpful and courteous host. We called asking for a table for 8.30pm then for 9.30pm having left Rome late. They thought the kitchen was now closed in a small town like Montalcino - late October. The innkeeper replied that he was waiting for us! There were two of us when we arrived and he made us sit. Very kind, good and appetizing cuisine, nice location inside!!! Place ok! It doesn't take much to satisfy and make customers happy, small attentions! Thank you

18/10/2024: Muy mal, nos pegaron un atraco con el vino, sin informarnos adecuadamente no cobraron 9,50€ por cada copa de vino. Un atraco!!!

27/09/2024: Mio marito è di Montalcino, capito in questo bel locale sia con lui che da sola, per lavoro. Personale gentilissimo, buon cibo e la vista dalle finestre è davvero unica!

01/12/2024: Cena con piatti tipici della val d'orcia, particolare la trippa allo zafferano montalcinese. Abbiamo preso anche un' ottima polenta al sugo di cinghiale. Personale cordiale e preparato, atmosfera familiare. Il tutto abbinato con un ottimo Brunello consigliato della cantina Luciani. Ci tornerò sicuramente.
