05/10/2025: An unpleasant incident that left me truly perplexed, and for which I wouldn't recommend this place. I went to this pizzeria-restaurant and ordered a sandwich with hamburger, lettuce, tomato, grilled vegetables, and stracciatella. During the meal, some lettuce had fallen onto my plate, and only after I'd finished the sandwich (and I emphasize only after I'd finished the sandwich, if you read carefully; I hadn't noticed before, since the lettuce had fallen onto my plate) was I about to eat it when I noticed a dead bug on that lettuce (and if it's dead, it obviously won't move). It was a bug with legs, not a burnt piece of eggplant, as they would have you believe. I immediately notified the waitress, who went to report the incident to the kitchen. Shortly afterward, she returned, telling me that they'd told her to "don't worry, because they wash it." I don't doubt they wash it, but the fact remains that there was an insect on the plate. It can happen, of course, but what left me most disappointed was the complete lack of attention afterward: no one came to the table to apologize, nor was any kind of courtesy offered (a discount, dessert, any sign of consideration). I paid the bill in full, as if nothing had happened, and that's not at all an excuse to get a discount or anything else, because I don't need one. It's just a matter of knowing how to treat a customer. A real shame, because the place seemed welcoming and the sandwich was quite good—I say quite good because there was more salt than was appropriate… but an incident like that, handled so superficially, truly leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.

09/10/2025: Loved the place. Wine was good, waitress (Asia) was really awesome. I ordered a calzone. I come from USA an expected ricotta cheese in the calzone but they didn't have it available at all. I enjoyed the ham and and mozzarella cheese calzone with pomodoro sauce on the side. Come and say hi to Asia. (Since times are weird, I have to mention I'm unaffiliated with the politics, my Italian friends are awesome!

05/10/2025: Our tour guide recommended this place and we were not disappointed! They have so many options to choose from and what we had was delicious.

30/08/2025: Simple but very nice place, staff always helpful and very friendly, short wait times, and very good food. I recommend it.

23/08/2025: The classic local pizzeria and trattoria. Friendly service and a guaranteed evening with friends or as a couple! Owner Giuliano is a character from another era. The food is good (I recommend the house crostini for an appetizer), and the penne with salmon and penne with scampi for a first course. The pizzas are delicious and cooked in a wood-fired oven. Parking is nearby.

06/09/2025: Hiro is a great place; I've always eaten there very well, and it's never disappointed me. The service was excellent, and the place was nice and welcoming. I'd been told it had gotten worse, but honestly, that's not the case for me. In my experience, I've always had a great time.

10/10/2025: AMAZING!! The BEST meals that we have had in Europe so far (and we have been here 5 weeks)! The traditional carbonara and the gnocchi curry. Amazing portions, incredible taste! And the service was perfect 😊 very friendly staff. We will return! Bellissimo!!

22/09/2025: Lunch for two, the bigoli and gnocchi were very good, as were the mushroom tart and the stew. The timing was right, the prices fair, and it was an excellent lunch, thank you.

21/09/2025: Awesome pizza, a pleasant discovery! I've had the pleasure of trying takeout pizza from Pizzeria Il Veliero several times, and I must say it's always been an excellent experience. The pizza is truly delicious; you can clearly taste the care taken in selecting and using high-quality ingredients. So far, I've always had a great experience with takeout, but the atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming, and the staff has proven to be friendly and polite. This piqued my interest, and I can't wait to try their seafood, too. I'll definitely be back for a full sit-down dinner.

26/07/2025: Average pizza, small place, and hard to find parking outside. But the thing that disappointed me most was the wait time for a pizza—about an hour, with the place half full. And no one from the pizzeria says anything to you, as if everything was fine. Definitely not worth returning to; there are better places around, starting with the pizza.

05/08/2025: After a long time I found myself having an aperitif in this very famous place for aperitifs and more... undrinkable spritz and without a minimum of snacks... various... with a price that makes no sense... I think the grs has changed
