16/02/2026: My father, brother, and I went for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised by the selection of "supersonic" steaks, excellent meats. The owner even came out to present the cut of meat we requested: Chianina fillet and medium-aged steak with a good amount of fat. It was amazing! 😋. We drank a bottle of house wine, which wasn't bad. A wonderful surprise and experience. We must return to the area. We'll definitely return to this splendid "temple of cigarettes."

17/02/2026: The "Papaveri e Papere" restaurant is located in the San Miniato district, just outside the town center. Last Sunday, we were guests at this location. We enjoyed a meat-based tasting menu for lunch; the dishes were expertly plated with quality ingredients and beautifully presented in a captivating color palette. A wide array of courses, masterfully prepared by the chef, helped create an ideal, relaxing atmosphere. The sommelier in charge recommended an excellent local wine pairing: the 100% Sanforte, and it was a perfect choice. All the staff were kind, empathetic, professional, and prompt, demonstrating a marked and meticulous "customer focus." The atmosphere was very refined, and the restaurant also has ample parking. The price was more than fair, considering the quality and quantity. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The service is punctual, precise, and friendly: the waiters know the dishes well and are able to offer advice. The atmosphere is elegant, understated without being overbearing, and therefore particularly comfortable. Parking is available both in the parking lot in front and behind the restaurant, where there is also a small green space for children to play. The culinary offering, based on traditional flavors, is intuitive but not at all banal, and the dishes are a blend of well-balanced flavors. The menu is varied and includes meats such as lamb, ossobuco, wild boar, and even a few fish options. The truffle dishes are what makes the restaurant feel connected to its local area and contribute to its unique character. The quality/price ratio is truly excellent, considering the raw materials, the service, and the ambiance. The wine list is also good, with dedicated staff available to help you pair food and wine.

14/01/2026: My boyfriend and I went to this tavern for the first time. We were amazed by the quality and quantity of the dishes! To start, we had the Ozio appetizer, which was incredibly generous, with a taste of fried brain added. This was followed by tagliolini with truffle, made with lactose-free butter (which we brought from home as agreed) due to my intolerance. My boyfriend opted for tortellini filled with cacio e pepe and truffle. For dessert, we had chocolate salami and cantuccini with vin santo (lactose-free). We were delighted from appetizer to dessert. The waitresses were super helpful and friendly, and knew how to accommodate us from the very beginning. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

03/01/2026: A truly fantastic experience. Let me start by saying we only had lunch at the restaurant, and I was truly impressed by the location and the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. As soon as you step inside, you immediately feel at ease in a homey atmosphere where hospitality is unparalleled. The dishes are traditional and carefully prepared. We tried the tagliolini with white truffle, recommended by Chef Francesco, and I must say it was amazing. We will definitely return to Collebrunacchi to stop at this restaurant, which is truly worth a visit. I highly recommend it to truffle lovers, and my compliments once again to the Chef.

12/10/2025: Unfortunately, we were disappointed. Some dishes were incredibly overly salty, and we sent one first course back. It was added to our bill. It's not a financial issue, but if I spend money, I expect quality food and service. It's a shame because other dishes were worth it. We won't be returning.

28/12/2025: A pleasant discovery in the Piazza del Duomo in San Miniato. The service is excellent, combining courtesy with savoir faire. The egg with potato cream, pecorino cheese, and truffle was excellent, as was the creamed cod. It's worth noting that I also found the coffee to be good (often, even in high-end restaurants, I've been served disgustingly sloppy broth). The restrooms are very clean.

21/12/2025: We chose the fish menu with matching wines, a culinary poem, one dish after another. Thanks to those in the kitchen who gave us this tasty journey of taste! A round of applause to the very knowledgeable and kind staff in the dining room.

08/02/2026: Beautiful and welcoming place, we were upstairs. The dishes were well-prepared, perhaps a few items on the menu, but the quality was excellent! Two very young women served, the service was informal but pleasant and suited to the setting. Well done!

11/01/2026: I ordered the grey pork shank and it was spectacular, the best meat I've ever eaten, perfectly cooked and a good portion. Finally, for dessert, I had the cream sundae and it was also spectacular. The staff was very kind. Thank you for making me eat so well in such a pleasant atmosphere. I will gladly return to try other dishes. Thank you so much.

12/12/2025: I expected much, much more, looking at the website and especially considering that all the truffle dishes were starting at €30. Overall, it wasn't bad, but ultimately, it was just a simple trattoria, nothing special!

11/12/2025: I don't think I'll ever go back. I ordered tagliolini with truffle for €35.00, and they had cream in the middle. I'm allergic to lactose, and I was sick all night! Not only that, but the cream is disgusting—maybe butter, but cream! Ugh! My partner ordered pici all'aglione, but I assure you there wasn't any garlic, just garlic, so strong and persistent that you couldn't stand to be near it; chemicals have that effect! In my opinion, if you want to try truffles, go somewhere else! They're poor quality and overpriced: two fried eggs that smell like truffles cost €35.00! Aren't they ashamed?

16/01/2026: Good food, young, friendly, and helpful staff! The atmosphere is informal, clean, and well-organized. There aren't any crowded tables; the walls are lined with paintings that you'll have to pay a little attention to, as they're worth a visit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

11/01/2026: Fantastic dinner! We arrived without a reservation and a very kind waitress brought us to our table. We tried the white truffle pasta & the black truffle pasta, it was fantastic! The service was great, food was great, and the ambiance was great. Of course I finished the meal with amaro and a cafe. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

I tried the €39 set menu with appetizers (the prosciutto was delicious) and steak. The fact that I left with a full stomach is a clear sign that I had a great time and would return.
