20/05/2026: We visited the butcher and were able to sample a wide variety of specialties. Appropriate wine was served to accompany the meats. Highly recommended!

12/08/2026: We ate at Taverna dell'Ozio today. A truly unique experience. Incredibly friendly atmosphere and service. The food and portions were indescribably wonderful. The meal, or rather the entire evening there, was an incredibly beautiful and memorable culinary experience. Highly recommended! We've rarely experienced anything so recommendable in Tuscany! 5 stars

29/07/2026: An outstanding restaurant that has earned its place in the Michelin Guide. The dishes are delicious and beautifully presented, and the friendly sommelier can always recommend the perfect wine from hundreds of options. We tried both the meat and fish menus and were absolutely delighted. We're still debating whether the pasta vongole (with clams) or the truffle pasta was better... Regardless, you should definitely visit this enchanting restaurant and enjoy the golden evening hours on the lovely terrace. The price is unbeatable for such high quality.

24/07/2026: It's impossible to give a different review for a place like this. A beautiful, elegant, and welcoming place. I celebrated my birthday there a few months ago, and I must say it was a magnificent evening. My only regret was that the sommelier insisted on letting us taste some wine, which we, unfortunately, can't stomach. The dishes had so much personality, especially the egg, but everything was presented with great attention and care. We'll definitely be back.

08/08/2026: Recommended by a foodie friend. You don't stumble upon this place by chance. First (good) sign: apart from us, there were only locals. Reservations are possible through their website. The welcome is warm and friendly, and a significant advantage for us poor French speakers who only speak the language of Molière: the owner is bilingual. Arm yourself with a good translation app for the menu, which is only in Italian (Wi-Fi is available on site), and you're all set. A fine selection of traditional dishes made with excellent ingredients, and a wine list that will leave you speechless. Note: the menu available online will give you an idea. Expect to pay around €30 per person, excluding wine and drinks, for a generous meal bursting with the flavors of Italy. All this in an exceptional setting. What can I say... it's a shame I can't come more often. It was well worth the hour and a half round trip by car. Yes, a meal like this in such a setting is well worth the effort, and don't let the winding country roads put you off. Go there and see for yourself. Thank you for this wonderful evening.

21/06/2026: We chose Pepe Nero for our wedding weekend and couldnt be happier. Everything was absolutely delicious — the pizza for the night before, the aperitivos, specially the octopus salad, the salmon, all the way to the dinner and the wedding cake was 10/10 — Everything was beautifully presented and perfectly portioned. The staff was kind, friendly, efficient and professional. But if I can be completely honest, the real star of our wedding day was Laura. Laura was my point of contact and the restaurant coordinator, but she was so much more. From our first conversation, I could feel that she genuinely cares about what she does. She treated our wedding like it mattered to her personally, not just as another event to execute. Every email she sent was organized and thoughtful. Every meeting felt like she was really listening to what we needed. Planning a wedding from a distance without ever visiting the venue before was stressful for me, but Laura made it so much easier. She walked us through everything, showed us different ways to organize the events and the meals, adapted and adjusted to our needs, and answered every question with the same level of care. She organized the tasting perfectly and even included and accommodated my best friend who was unexpectedly there on the day. She even gave me recommendations on where to buy my wedding favours. Laura really went the extra mile for everything to try to help. Having Laura there on our wedding day genuinely calmed me down and made me happier. She was a huge part of why everything went so smoothly. There was a couple slip-ups with the drinks that weren’t how we had agreed, but she apologized and managed to fix the situation adequately. All in all, in hindsight, I really don’t think I could have made a better decision on who to choose for our special day. So thank you, Laura, for your passion and your attention. And thank you to the entire team at Pepenero and to your talented chef for creating such an amazing experience for us.

21/07/2026: The food was truly delicious! A wide selection of food; they are known for truffles and that was done incredibly well. We had the truffle burger, YUMMY! For wine lovers, they had a wide selection! The service was really top-notch! They spoke good English and were friendly. Plenty of parking space nearby. We only found the atmosphere a little lacking, because it was super white and had plastic chairs. But otherwise really great and everything was super clean!

10/08/2026: My wife had the pizza and tried it, and it was good. The dough was very light and the flavor was delicious. I had the mussels in pepper, but I wasn't satisfied; they weren't to my liking. I have to say the service was excellent and very friendly. I'll definitely be back to try other things.

The price is in line with the quality of the dishes we enjoyed, one after the other, and the wine was equally good, which I found truly delicious. Recommended if you're looking for a high-end dinner in a location with a terrace.

06/07/2026: The restaurant has a large private parking lot. The location is very charming; from the outdoor terrace you can enjoy a picturesque view overlooking the hills. The menu is structured to satisfy all customer needs (vegetarian, meat, fish, etc.), and the food is noteworthy. The wine list is also truly comprehensive and well-organized.
