14/01/2026: My boyfriend and I went to this tavern for the first time. We were amazed by the quality and quantity of the dishes! To start, we had the Ozio appetizer, which was incredibly generous, with a taste of fried brain added. This was followed by tagliolini with truffle, made with lactose-free butter (which we brought from home as agreed) due to my intolerance. My boyfriend opted for tortellini filled with cacio e pepe and truffle. For dessert, we had chocolate salami and cantuccini with vin santo (lactose-free). We were delighted from appetizer to dessert. The waitresses were super helpful and friendly, and knew how to accommodate us from the very beginning. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

03/01/2026: A truly fantastic experience. Let me start by saying we only had lunch at the restaurant, and I was truly impressed by the location and the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. As soon as you step inside, you immediately feel at ease in a homey atmosphere where hospitality is unparalleled. The dishes are traditional and carefully prepared. We tried the tagliolini with white truffle, recommended by Chef Francesco, and I must say it was amazing. We will definitely return to Collebrunacchi to stop at this restaurant, which is truly worth a visit. I highly recommend it to truffle lovers, and my compliments once again to the Chef.

12/10/2025: Unfortunately, we were disappointed. Some dishes were incredibly overly salty, and we sent one first course back. It was added to our bill. It's not a financial issue, but if I spend money, I expect quality food and service. It's a shame because other dishes were worth it. We won't be returning.

28/12/2025: A pleasant discovery in the Piazza del Duomo in San Miniato. The service is excellent, combining courtesy with savoir faire. The egg with potato cream, pecorino cheese, and truffle was excellent, as was the creamed cod. It's worth noting that I also found the coffee to be good (often, even in high-end restaurants, I've been served disgustingly sloppy broth). The restrooms are very clean.

21/12/2025: We chose the fish menu with matching wines, a culinary poem, one dish after another. Thanks to those in the kitchen who gave us this tasty journey of taste! A round of applause to the very knowledgeable and kind staff in the dining room.

Finally, for dessert, I had the cream sundae and it was also spectacular. The staff was very kind. Thank you for making me eat so well in such a pleasant atmosphere. 15/01/2026: A great find. The place is small and well-maintained, with welcoming staff. The menu offers several reasonably priced options. I tried the €39 set menu with appetizers (the prosciutto was delicious) and steak. The fact that I left with a full stomach is a clear sign that I had a great time and would return.

28/12/2025: Moving, in a word. Carnivorous menu, three different but very high-quality tartares + a steak that was pure poetry of taste. Honorable mention for the background music: Aerosmith - Thin Lizzy - Dire Streets - Jethro Tull - The Boss - The Who to name a few, in short, a delight.

30/01/2026: The Neapolitan paccheri were a nice surprise, as was the fried pizza with ragù. Delicious. Service was prompt and excellent. On a negative note, the dining room was a bit noisy.

I called to let them know I wanted fresh fries on my pizza, not reheated ones, but the fries were just as bad as last week's. They put fresh fries on the pizza, not reheated, like you told me on the phone. You lost a customer tonight, but you definitely don't care, and neither do I. I'll leave you some photos of how the fries ended up, the same as last week. But then, if you look closely, they weren't even fried properly; it looks like the oil is a month old. But what can you expect if you tell me yourself they're reheated fries? The fries don't reheat. Since I can't respond, I'll edit my review. I've been cooking for 20 years and I know a French fry very well, so either you don't know how to fry French fries or something's wrong. I've never found fries in that state on my pizza, and I've always bought the Margherita with fries. And if he wants to abolish pizza in his restaurant, no one's stopping him...

08/01/2026: In the heart of the Sassi di Matera, we discovered a simply wonderful place: beautiful, elegant, and with an atmosphere that captivates you from the moment you arrive. We dined on the evening of December 28th, enjoying an excellent pizza, accompanied by cuisine crafted with meticulous attention to detail, a sign of great attention to quality and a passion for good food. The service was impeccable: professional yet warm and authentic, making us feel immediately at home. The value for money is excellent, a rare find in such a charming setting. But what made this evening truly unforgettable were Luciano, Marco, and Fabio: in just a few hours, they transformed from perfect hosts to lifelong friends. Between smiles, stories, and toasts, Basilicata and Calabria had never felt so close that evening. We will definitely return to Matera, even just to visit them. An experience we will cherish forever.
