30/03/2024: I went for lunch with my wife and a friend of ours, we had a great time, courtesy, timing, and truly excellent dishes, excellent value for money. I really feel like recommending this place.

28/03/2024: Excellent burger, high price but justified by the quality of the ingredients. In particular, the bread is not "soggy" like in other burger joints, but with a crunchy crust.

04/04/2024: I was with Amici, I admit that it was the first time for me. The barmen are very good and helpful. Very good cocktails. I can't judge the price but I admit that we are talking about very elaborate drinks.

06/04/2024: I truly love this place! Being a professional chef it is hard to find a place that speaks food. I found it in Lucca in the name of Baccanale. Do not hesitate to check out this fabulous epicurean delight. The chef speaks my language and I urge you to go and savour the flavours. Don’t forget to have some dolce in their exquisite rendition of tiramisu. Simply the best! Costantin, you rock!

07/04/2024: We went last night to this restaurant in the center of Lucca, just behind the main church square. We ate really well. All the dishes were amazing. I had the very tasty tortelli Lucchesi, my friend a very good fish first course. We then split a wild boar stew, which was really good, with a side of cannellini beans. In addition to the excellent food, the staff is also really kind and attentive to your every need. They served us quickly, making sure everything was fine several times. At the end, when we went to pay, we also made some jokes with the nice girl at the checkout who also offered us two sweets. We took 2 first courses, a second course, 1 glass of wine and a water and we spent €58. Considering the quality of the food and kindness, absolutely justified. A place where I will definitely return when I return to Lucca. Congratulations to the staff and the owner for their work and commitment. Keep it up

05/04/2024: What a special texture, it turns out to be walnuts 😂😂 I like the white spaghetti 😃creamy, it has a real feeling, it’s nuts 👍🏼 The staff are so warm and provide good service😄 Feel the taste and comfort of the guests👍🏼

02/04/2024: Perfect dinner just outside the walls of Lucca. A place that offers high quality cuisine suitable for everyone with choices of both meat and fish. The girl in the dining room is super kind and available to explain the cooking proposal. There is the possibility of choosing the fixed price menu consisting of 2 or 3 dishes chosen from the menu (absolutely recommended, includes water, coffee and cover charge) or just one dish from the menu. What makes the difference is the quality and quantity of the food as well as the presentation at the reception. Added value is the spritz offered as soon as you sit down and the welcome entré before starting dinner. If you pass through Lucca you absolutely must stop!

25/03/2024: A pleasant discovery: the menu does not present the usual proposals and makes you curious to try everything. The dishes are very good and well prepared, even entertaining in some of the presentations. Aurora is extraordinary in the dining room and makes you feel at home straight away. The prices are definitely correct for the quality of the food. Highly recommended!!!

26/03/2024: Food was fabulous. Clams with candied lemon peel- magnifico. Service very good and friendly. We also were serenaded by one of the Choral teams in Lucca for the Vox Lucensis competition- buona fortuna Norvegia!

11/02/2024: Unfortunately, I hadn't been back to eat at Luis and David's for a few years, and it was a wonderful rediscovery. The environment is always splendid, intimate and warm, with attention to every detail. The cuisine is amazing and the hospitality is equally amazing. I can't wait to go back already!

29/01/2024: An unconventional restaurant where you can appreciate refined and attentive cuisine which combines flavors that are not typical of the area but which blend well with the Tuscan tradition. The owner Luis knows how to welcome and create a convivial atmosphere without excesses of protagonism and his experience acquired over years of life spent in Paris is found in the flavor of the very French setup that he has reconstructed in his restaurant. The only note is that the cost is a little over the top, although quality and service can allow us to indulge in this aspect........

26/11/2023: The restaurant has been open for lunch on Sundays for some time. Despite my various reports it is still listed as closed. Having said that, I went to L'Anciuia for lunch today and was a little surprised that the choice was limited to two set menus. The first course was €25 and included a tasting of starters and a first or second course and a small dessert. There was also a menu for €35 with an extra course. The starters were good, especially the cod crostini with potatoes. The first courses were quite good while the fried anchovies were super. The small taste of homemade apple pie was also very good. What can I say in total: the food is good but I prefer when there is the possibility to choose between several dishes.

23/11/2023: Un angolo di Genova a Lucca. Piccolo ma accogliente locale dell’atmosfera tipicamente ligure. La titolare, persona molto simpatica e empatica, da brava padrona di casa accoglie gli ospiti spiegando a voce i due menu fissi pensati per i clienti. Il primo a € 35 è composto da un antipasto di 4 assaggini, un primo da scegliere tra due proposte, un secondo costituito da un fritto di acciughe, dolce a scelta, vino, caffè e ammazza caffè. Il menù da 25 € è uguale al primo ma con un solo piatto principale da scegliere tra un primo i le acciughe fritte. Davvero molto buoni i primi e il fritto di acciughe. Consigliato a chi vuole assaggiare la cucina ligure ad un prezzo davvero accessibile.

07/04/2024: The best pasta we had the pleasure of eating on our vacation to Italy this year!! A somewhat unusual concept: you go to the checkout, order and are then assigned to a table to which the food is then brought. At the checkout, every dish on the small but very unusual menu was explained to us in English by the very friendly employee. The selection of homemade pasta dishes was great and also ideal for vegetarians and vegans. After a short wait, the food was brought by the friendly staff and a real taste explosion awaited us! You could tap water into a small carafe for free the whole time - mega! All 3 dishes were amazing. I would have liked to order more, but instead decided on espresso and dessert. The dessert was also great and I would happily come back or recommend the restaurant to others! The nice atmosphere with self-painted place cards rounded off our great visit. 🍝💚🤍❤️

01/03/2024: Cena di Venerdì sera in famiglia, di passaggio dalle compere in città. Parcheggio del ristorante un po' limitato, in una stretta traversa, bella la sala e l'apparecchiatura, servizio con gentilezza. Menù con poche portate, sempre un segnale positivo (a mio modo di vedere). Qualità dei piatti buona, tempi di attesa ridotti (eravamo anche il primo tavolo della serata, essendo arrivati prima delle 20:00). Prezzi in generale decisamente troppo alti in relazione ai contenuti, pur a fronte della già citata buona qualità: stona, in particolare, il filetto di manzo con patate arrosto a 25€ (peraltro eccellente). In tutto, con 2 antipasti di mare, 2 primi di mare, 1 secondo di mare, il famigerato filetto, 2 contorni, 1 calice di prosecco, 2 bottiglie d'acqua minerale e 2 caffè abbiamo speso 134 €. Se il conto fosse stato vicino ai 100€, sarebbe stato decisamente più equilibrato rispetto all'offerta.

25/10/2023: The pearl of Villa Martha's - restaurant! Perfect service, pleasant atmosphere, very cozy and romantic place. Exquisite dishes, beautiful presentation and reasonable prices. One minus was the long wait for the main dishes. Although all this did not spoil the mood.
