The restaurant has been open for lunch on Sundays for some time. Despite my various reports it is still listed as closed.
Having said that, I went to L'Anciuia for lunch today and was a little surprised that the choice was limited to two set menus. The first course was €25 and included a tasting of starters and a first or second course and a small dessert. There was also a menu for €35 with an extra course.
The starters were good, especially the cod crostini with potatoes. The first courses were quite good while the fried anchovies were super. The small taste of homemade apple pie was also very good.
What can I say in total: the food is good but I prefer when there is the possibility to choose between several dishes.

Un angolo di Genova a Lucca. Piccolo ma accogliente locale dell’atmosfera tipicamente ligure. La titolare, persona molto simpatica e empatica, da brava padrona di casa accoglie gli ospiti spiegando a voce i due menu fissi pensati per i clienti. Il primo a € 35 è composto da un antipasto di 4 assaggini, un primo da scegliere tra due proposte, un secondo costituito da un fritto di acciughe, dolce a scelta, vino, caffè e ammazza caffè. Il menù da 25 € è uguale al primo ma con un solo piatto principale da scegliere tra un primo i le acciughe fritte. Davvero molto buoni i primi e il fritto di acciughe. Consigliato a chi vuole assaggiare la cucina ligure ad un prezzo davvero accessibile.

A corner of Genoa in Lucca. Small but welcoming place with a typically Ligurian atmosphere. The owner, a very nice and empathetic person, welcomes guests as a good hostess by verbally explaining the two fixed menus designed for customers. The first course at €35 consists of an appetizer of 4 small dishes, a first course to choose between two proposals, a second course consisting of fried anchovies, dessert of your choice, wine, coffee and coffee killer. The €25 menu is the same as the first but with only one main course to choose from, including fried anchovies. The first courses and the fried anchovies are really very good. Recommended for those who want to taste Ligurian cuisine at a truly accessible price.

Locale sobrio, proprietaria accogliente e appassionata del suo lavoro, cibo di buona qualità e secondo me carta vincente pochi piatti a prezzo fisso. Nel prezzo fisso e' compreso tutto ( bevande, dolce caffè ecc) e questa e' una forma di correttezza inusuale ( troppo spesso nei menu degustazione ti caricano al costo iniziale extra in forma spropositata) Una esperienza da ripetere

I would describe this restaurant as a hidden gem.
Delicious Ligurian fish dishes are served at a fixed price of €25 or €35 and you are served personally by the boss. There were several dishes per course, and they were so plentiful that I had to turn down the praised dessert at the end - much to the boss's great regret. In my opinion, the boss was able to realize her dream of presenting her love of cuisine here in this beautiful city.

On the occasion of the "Pianeta terra" Festival in Lucca, I had dinner two evenings in this restaurant near the San Francesco Church. Excellent food, very friendly and helpful staff. I really appreciated the menu limited to a few varieties of dishes because it ensures the high quality and freshness of the products. The service is very fast and the owner is a very pleasant person who provides the knowledge and tradition of Genoese cuisine inherited from her grandmother. Restaurant with simple and genuine dishes that are absolutely worth trying.

Fantastic find in Lucca. We were here for a month and wish we had found this restaurant sooner. Delicious seafood , fixed price of either 25 or 35 euros ( depending how many courses you wanted) and that included a carafe of wine , dessert and coffee. Outstanding value for such high quality food and great service.
