14/10/2025: I went to BirBar with a friend, but unfortunately, the experience was anything but pleasant. As soon as I walked in the door, the first impression was terrible: dirty floors with litter here and there, unclean tables, and a general air of neglect. As for the bathroom... I'd rather not mention it: it was on par with a train station, and that's certainly not a compliment. The bar selection is rather limited. I ordered a focaccia filled on the spot, but the ham was obviously canned from the supermarket, and the flavor suffered. The counter was also messy and dirty, with bags lying around and no attention to detail. In some areas, you could even see peeling paint and mold on the walls: not exactly the ideal sight while eating. When it came time to get the bill, we paid €6 for two simple focaccias. I paid by card, but the way the gentleman at the cash register handled the receipt left me perplexed: a strange mix of receipts and bills. I checked on my phone and discovered that I'd actually been charged 9 euros. I pointed this out to him, and without even checking, he immediately refunded me the 3 euro difference. Strange, right? Even more curious was the fact that, a few minutes later, another customer returned complaining about the same problem. Coincidence? I don't think so. In conclusion, I don't think I'll ever return to BirBar again. Fortunately, I'm careful about these little "oversights," but I hope the money they manage to extract from customers will at least go towards fixing up the place, because it's literally falling apart. A real shame, and above all, a disgrace for a business that represents Viareggio in this way.

27/08/2025: Terrible breakfast and lack of transparency. This morning, for two cappuccinos, two croissants, and one pizza, I paid €9.60—already quite a high price—but the biggest problem was that the bar charged me a second €29.60. The matter was handled in a sneaky manner: I wanted to pay by phone, but the barista asked for my card so he could "place it on the POS terminal," without letting me see the amount. When I asked for a receipt, he said he would send it to me via text message. The text message arrived with the correct amount, but without the time or date. Luckily, I was nearby and, checking my bank app, saw the double charge. When I returned to the bar, I didn't have to explain anything: when I asked to reverse the second charge, the barista acted as if they already knew what was going on. I then read a previous review reporting the same issue: this makes me think this isn't an isolated error, despite the apparent initial friendliness. Also, the croissant and pizza were average, probably from the day before, despite arriving before 8:00 a.m. I strongly advise against this place: be careful with the payment.

07/03/2025: una vera gemma! La colazione è squisita, tra le migliori della zona, e la pasticceria mignon è semplicemente unica. Prodotti di alta qualità, ambiente accogliente e servizio impeccabile. Consigliatissimo!

30/10/2023: Posto bellissimo immerso nel verde. Ho pranzato esattamente con quello che ho ordinato. L'aragosta è il piatto forte del locale, ci tornerò sicuramente.

01/09/2023: Son stata in questo ristorante per pranzo nel periodo di Agosto, sia in coppia che con amici. Ed ho avuto in coppia con una cagnolina di 22kg una bellissima esperienza. Piatti buoni, giuste quantità e sapore ottimo. Servizio di un ragazzo notevole! Ci ha fatto sentire proprio coccolati senza esser invasivo. Prezzo corretto. L'esperienza con gli amici, il giorno successivo, non è stata dello stesso livello. Piatti sempre deliziosi! Servizio un pò calato. Mi sento comunque di consigliarlo. Il prezzo è congruo e la location carina.
