21/08/2025: We stopped in for lunch after a stroll around Bolgheri, and we had a great time. Excellent food in a wonderful atmosphere. There was a bit of a wait, admittedly... but we always have to be patient with those working on behalf of us tourists. Well done.

12/07/2025: A beautiful hotel in a unique botanical garden, just steps from the sea in Sant'Andrea on the island of Elba. The breakfast is truly excellent, the rooms are very comfortable, and the service is warm and friendly. On Wednesday mornings, there's a delightful yoga class offered, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.

22/06/2025: Excellent location to visit the other villages and it is 200 meters from the sea, excellent breakfast, well-kept and cared for place, we were welcomed by the owner even if it was late at night, if you like tranquility and greenery the Cernia hotel is the right place. 30/07/2025: A terrible evening (unfortunately, in almost every way). Three friends and I booked dinner at this restaurant in Cecina, known for its renowned pinsa al metro. Before moving on to the many negatives, I can confirm that the product is high-quality, digestible, and very good. However... the "buts" are too many, too serious, and they'll make me never return. First, when booking, I made sure to ask if there was air conditioning, and to my great disappointment, I found the place rather stuffy (light air conditioning, almost nonexistent). That said, they seat us, and the waitress shows up to take our order only 15 minutes later (imagine 15 minutes in 35°C weather without even a glass of water). We order a total of 3.5 meters of pinsa, of which 1 meter is reserved exclusively for one of the lactose-intolerant diners. I make sure to ask that he arrive at the same time (or before) the first pizzas, as otherwise he wouldn't have been able to "taste" a slice of ours. Of course, his pizza arrives, not only 45 minutes after the others, but one side of it has mozzarella. That should be enough, right? And instead, the beer (14 euros for Menabrea) is presented in a very sad carafe and clearly and heavily watered down: undrinkable. Finally, when it was time for coffee, the waitress decided to bring not 4 (as requested), but only 1. The other 3 arrived only after another 10 minutes. Overall result: 2 hours of dinner in unbearably hot weather 1 diner hungry, or almost 30 euros per person, without even the courtesy of removing the portion of pizza the lactose-intolerant customer hadn't touched. Never, never, never again (despite the pinsa, alas, excellent).

13/07/2025: Serata terribile (purtroppo, sotto tutti i punti di vista o quasi) Io ed altri tre amici prenotiamo per cena in questo locale di Cecina noto per la sua rinomata pinsa al metro. Prima di passare alle molteplici note dolenti, confermo che il prodotto sia di alta qualità, digeribile e molto buono. Però... i però sono troppi, troppo gravi e mi spingono a non tornarvi più. In primo luogo, al momento della prenotazione mi sono premurato di chiedere se vi fosse l'aria condizionata e, con mia somma delusione, ho trovato un locale piuttosto afoso (aria condizionata leggera quasi inesistente). Ciò detto, ci fanno accomodare e la cameriera si presenta a prendere l'ordine solo dopo 15' (immaginate 15' con 35° senza nemmeno un bicchiere d'acqua) Ordiniamo, complessivamente 3 mt e mezzo di pinsa, di cui 1 destinato esclusivamente ad uno solo dei commensali intollerante al lattosio, alché mi premuro di chiedere che quest'ultimo giunga contemporaneamente (ovvero antecedentemente) alle prime pizze in uscita, in quanto, in difetto, egli non avrebbe potuto 'assaggiare' una fetta delle nostre. Ovviamente, la sua pizza giunge, non solo dopo 45' dall'arrivo delle altre, ma una parte della stessa presenta della mozzarella. Basterebbe questo, no? E, invece, la birra (14 euro di menabrea) viene presentata in una tristissima caraffa e palesemente e pesantemente annacquata: imbevibile. Infine, al momento del caffè, la cameriera decide apoditticamente di portarne non già 4 (come richiesto), bensì solo 1. Gli altri 3 arriveranno solo dopo ulteriori 10'. Risultato complessivo: 2 ore di cena con un'afa insopportabile 1 commensale digiuno o quasi 30 euro a persona senza nemmeno la cortesia di espungere la parte di pizza nemmeno toccata dal cliente intollerante al lattosio. Mai, mai, mai più (nonostante la pinsa, ahimè, eccellente)

24/08/2025: Negative experience, quiet village surrounded by greenery, clean but very humid bungalows, restaurant you eat well and it is not expensive, well-stocked market, swimming pool is nice but paying to use a sunbed in a structure of the village I do not see as right, access to the beach .... 73 steps to get to the sea, where there is no beach except a concrete slab where the pseudo lifeguards place the sunbeds and ask you 18 euros a day to stay there.. the sea difficult to access full of rocks ..... we will not return

23/08/2025: The sanitair is nasty, stinky and cold. Bad services, the food at the restaurant is horrible and taste like cheap frozen meals. At the pool you need to pay 18 euro's for a 2 person bed p/day or 8 euro's for a single one. They demanded a deposit of 10 euro, but it was nowhere notifed

21/07/2025: Seafront property with an adjoining beach. The seafront rooms are good, with a wonderful view, but the bathroom is small and the windows are dated. I had chosen half-board but decided against it due to both the food and the location. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety and delicious food. The beach is excellent, very well-kept and clean, and the staff is very attentive and always available. A special mention goes to Elena, who is always available and does a great job at the front desk. We'll definitely be back.

The service was impeccable, the beer glass was ice cold, and the spritz was delicious, all accompanied by a rich platter that perfectly complemented the drinks. The staff was incredibly kind, and the tables were always clean and tidy. I absolutely recommend this bar! The food and drinks are high quality, and the value is excellent 🔝🔝🔝

26/07/2025: Questo è un bel posto per trascorrere una serata, gustando del buon cibo, soprattutto se si è in coppia, o con un gruppo ristretto di amici.

06/07/2025: Questo posto è ideale per una cena di coppia, la location è molto particolare nella piazzetta di Poggio... Tavolini un po' stretti ma il cibo ottimo e la simpatia del padrone di casa compensano! Il menù offre buone scelte e ho trovato un tipo di cucina sana e leggera con ricette dei tempi passati.

08/08/2025: We’ve been coming to Calanova for years, and it’s never once slipped. Sometimes it’s a pleasant, lazy lunch to celebrate something, sometimes a romantic evening when the light’s just right, and sometimes for no reason at all, other than knowing it’s going to be good. It’s hard to beat the setting: tables under old cork trees, the sea right there, and that quiet elegance that doesn’t try too hard. The menu changes with the catch, but there are standouts we always look forward to: the fresh, crisp misticanza, perfectly cooked verdesca, honey-glazed octopus, paccheri with monkfish, pink grapefruit and olive powder, a tiramisù worth guarding with your life, and the caffè gourmand, which is really just permission to have dessert twice. Service is warm, switched-on and never over the top. After so many visits, the only thing that’s changed is how quickly we book the next one.

03/08/2025: Un tempo era quel che sembrava. Un bel ristorante sulla spiaggia. Poi hanno ridotto le porzioni inserito piatti improbabili adottato la ‘r’ moscia e son piu cari di Milano.

18/05/2025: Bellissima sorpresa trovare del personale estremamente empatico, ormai quasi una rarità, cucina di ottimo livello con cibi, in gran parte, autoprodotti. Un oasi di serenità e qualità. Da vecchio sommelier, apprezzato molto il vino, autoprodotto, con Vitigni Cabernet e Cannaiolo, ben vinificato con un buona sapidità e corpo decisamente robusto. Esperienza molto positiva, consigliabilissimo.

24/07/2025: We went to Chicalinda for a couple of lunches and a dinner with a wine tasting from a young and dynamic local winery... The wine selection on the menu is truly excellent, and Giuseppe knows how to recommend the perfect pairings. What can I say? The cuisine is truly spectacular, the service impeccable, the staff is truly helpful, friendly, and incredibly kind. Highly recommended. The seaside lunches are phenomenal. The cuisine, as already mentioned, is excellent. The fried fish is stellar. The tagliolini with lobster is heartwarming. The Friday tasting dinners are exceptionally good value...not to mention the sunset view, which is indescribable. They also have a very convenient and affordable umbrella and lounger rental service. Laura and Fulvio...we will definitely be back.

21/07/2025: We went to the dog beach in Chicalinda in mid-July and had a great time! The beach is fabulous, with excellent services. The only flaw keeping me from giving it a fifth star is that they could add a fountain or shower at the beach exit to rinse off our feet and the dogs before getting back in the car. But that aside, it's really comfortable and beautiful, and not too crowded. We'll definitely be back.

22/08/2025: The entrance isn't very promising (from the outside), but once inside, everything changes. Beautiful atmosphere with very welcoming and polite staff. What can I say about the food? It was worth all the miles you've traveled to try the famous Cacciucco. 10/10. Very generous portions and low prices! Everything was so good, we'll definitely be back. WELL DONE AND CONGRATULATIONS!

22/08/2025: The bread tasted odd, the pasta was chewy and the server forgot a few entrees. Server was patient, atmosphere was nice, but not a restaurant I would recommend.

30/07/2025: Always a must for me!!! At least a couple of times a year I feel the need to go to Buenos Aires and enjoy some fantastic Argentinean meat. The Asado and Picana are amazing. Unmissable Argentinean beers.

26/08/2025: A corner of paradise between olive groves and the sea! My partner and I spent a few days at this wonderful agriturismo, and it was a perfect experience. Nestled among its own olive groves, the place offers absolute peace, ideal for truly unwinding. The pools are beautiful, well-kept, and surrounded by greenery. The breakfast is rich and authentic, with local and often homemade products: a real pleasure to start the day with. The sea is just a 5-minute bike ride away, so the location is truly strategic. Great for families and those traveling with dogs: spacious spaces, nature, and plenty of tranquility. A special thanks also to Natalia at the reception desk, super friendly and welcoming, who made us feel at home right away. We'll definitely be back!

13/08/2025: Good evening I've been coming to this property for three years now. I've always found the rooms we booked to be welcoming and clean. The staff are polite, respectful, and helpful. The cuisine is excellent; Vanessa and Graziella are excellent. As are Natalia at reception and Mrs. Beatrice (the owner).
