03/03/2025: As soon as we arrived they told us that they messed up the reservations and therefore they hadn't reserved a table for us. They then put us in the corridor and told us to offer ourselves a digestive at the end of the meal, which is always done, even without having made any mistakes. The food is good, but not great, with some errors (for example, some pieces of meat were hard and impossible to eat). As a first course you have to choose between the soup and the crescents and both are not served.
The service was not very kind and the price was very expensive compared to the average.

07/03/2025: Magnificent view of the Sella Group and the Marmolada. One of the most beautiful huts on Kronplatz in terms of ambience and view. Always happy to come back here every year.
The price is not exactly cheap, but it's always worth it...

27/04/2025: Because of the great review, we wanted to eat at Bittnerhof today. Hot food is only available until 3 p.m., says the landlord. We were there at 4 p.m., well then only cold dishes. Wanted a menu that doesn't do you any good. We have 3 types of cake, or a snack platter, he says.
Ordered cake and snack plate. He forgot his snack. We paid quickly and had a nice meal in the town below.
Unfortunately the visit was a disappointment.

22/01/2025: Sono molti anni che veniamo sull’Alpe, avevamo sentito parlare bene di questo rifugio e quest’anno che finalmente siamo riusciti a pranzarci non possiamo che confermare il passaparola positivo in merito. Qui troverete autentica gentilezza, gusto, qualità, ampia scelta del menu’, ottima presentazione delle portate e una bella atmosfera. Al momento per noi è la migliore esperienza culinaria sull’Alpe. Speriamo di potervi tornare in futuro.

05/05/2025: Having now become a "restaurant", the Lavenna mountain hut has lost its distinctive rural architecture and has become modern and highly visited. Fortunately, the quality of the dishes remained unchanged even if the increase in the number of seats made the waits too long.
02/05/2025: After a hike you should stop by the inn. Here you can sit outside and enjoy a delicious snack. Priced in the middle range, but ok. Service was good and we didn't have to wait.

30/01/2025: The perfect viewpoint of Meran and the Adige Valley, accompanied by delicious food, a cold beer and great hosts. If I were a holidaymaker and not a local, then this would be the best place to relax in the nice apartments and enjoy the peace and quiet.

02/05/2025: Meanwhile, the second package of bread, although sealed and long before its expiration date, is moldy. That shouldn't be the case. The first time I thought there was a small hole in the package and so I was unlucky, but now again? The packaging is just too bad and still vacuum.
09/02/2025: I bought the packaged pretzels produced by this bakery at the supermarket, inedible! I bought them a few other times and they were good. They probably did something wrong in this batch, perhaps cooked with old or burnt oil. Terrible smell from the bag, I threw everything away. I believe that many like me have encountered this...

22/04/2025: Overall, everything is fine, but during the bird of prey show, construction fences are raised through which you can't see the mountains. In addition, 1/4 of the house wine costs 9 euros which is just too much. So we won't be coming back.

A very fine meal from starters to the main course to dessert, very balanced and super tasty. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
16/12/2024: Very intimate place with attention to detail, small dimensions for this intimate setting even for small groups. Good choice of wines. It goes without saying that, being in Gries and being a wine shop as well as a restaurant, the price is not within everyone's reach. Aim for quality rather than quantity.

04/05/2025: In unmittelbarer Nähe der für „Kurzwanderrer“ sehr empfehlenswerten Falschauer Biotops (Falschauerdelta, 32 ha. Als Biotop bietet es zahlreichen seltenen Pflanzen und gefährdeten Tierarten ein Refugium. Es ist Rückzugsort und unersetzlicher Lebensraum für über 200 Vogelarten, aber auch für Lurche und Amphibien, Nattern, Fische und Wasserinsekten.) liegt die große Gaststätte mit einer größeren Innenhof, der aber keinen besonderen Ausblick bietet, aber bei warmen Wetter doch sehr angenehm ist.. Der Gastraum ist ganz angenehm ausgestattet, eine große Bar. Das Essen war für Meraner Verhältnisse nicht zu teuer und schmackhaft. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und schnell. Etwas unfreundlich die Chefin und der Kassierer.
