14/05/2026: The welcome was incredibly friendly, even warm. We had made a reservation. We were quickly shown to our table and shortly afterward were able to order our drinks. After perusing the menus, we opted for Kaspressknödel (cheese dumplings) and Herrengröstl (a traditional potato and meat dish). Everything was delicious. However, we did notice that the dumplings could have benefited from a little more sauce. For dessert, we had Strauben and "Hot Love" (a type of fried pastry). Strauben is a deep-fried pastry. Absolutely delicious, definitely worth trying! All in all, a very nice restaurant with excellent service and incredibly tasty food. Thank you so much, and we'd be happy to recommend you.

10/05/2026: As locals, we're big fans of this restaurant. Saskia's is a family business run by a mother, daughter, and son, and it's very well and warmly managed. The restaurant is refreshingly free of any unnecessary touristy frills that only serve to inflate prices. The food has been consistently excellent for years, and they offer not only pizza but also a wide selection of other dishes. The tiramisu is legendary, and I highly recommend it to everyone. We love Saskia's.

27/07/2026: Real rating 4.8 Excellent, well-topped pizzas, and some of the ones on the menu aren't discounted. Reservations aren't possible, so there's a long line, but it's well-managed. The staff is friendly, and the pizzas, though more expensive than in many other tourist spots, are large and filling. The disposable placemats on the table are fun, a pastime for everyone. Highly recommended.

29/06/2026: A guesthouse in a dream location The journey is via a winding road that climbs high into the mountain. This drive is rewarded with warm hospitality, excellent cuisine, and breathtaking panoramic views. Excellent value for money. There's also a terrace. Guests have access to a pool and a large sunbathing lawn. Dogs are welcome. Highly recommended!

27/10/2025: Every visit to the funny crocodile is an experience! The atmosphere alone is special. Peter's service is personal and makes you feel right at home. The menu is small but delicious, and Stefan cooks the best lasagna ever (but he's not the only one ☺️). A must-visit on any holiday in Kaltern!

15/10/2025: During our vacation in South Tyrol, we found this small restaurant on Goldgasse in Kaltern. We were very pleasantly surprised by the food: tortellini filled with porcini mushrooms and truffle foam, and very well-filled herb pasta. We sat across from the restaurant in a small garden with only five tables. It was incredibly cozy and elegantly set, and the weather was perfect on October 15th. A dream, with very friendly service. Thank you, it was a very nice lunch.

16/07/2026: For about 30 years, we've been making regular trips to South Tyrol, near Schenna. The rustic Moschwald Alm is a must-see for us! Slightly off the beaten tourist track, the alpine pasture has retained its authentic charm. And if you're lucky enough to be invited into Elisabeth's cozy "Stüberl" for a schnapps, even the descent to Falzeben is no problem 😉. If I could give six stars, I'd give them to the Moschwald Alm!

13/07/2026: Last week we visited the lovely Elisabeth at her alpine pasture and had the honor of taking a dumpling-making course with her! It was absolutely fantastic! A welcome change from all the sports. Elisabeth and her family cook exclusively with fresh ingredients at the pasture, and everything from bacon dumplings and apple strudel to Kaiserschmarren is homemade – we were there to witness it all! Dear Elisabeth, we wish you and your family all the best, good health, God's blessings, and many more successful years managing the pasture!

We were welcomed with exceptional kindness and warmth by a lovely family who do everything to make you feel at home. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, harmoniously blending tradition and modernity. Comfort is guaranteed, and the atmosphere is both elegant and welcoming. The breakfast is simply magnificent: varied, generous, and made with high-quality products. A true pleasure every morning! Special mention also goes to the small grocery store on the ground floor, an excellent idea that adds even more charm and convenience to the stay. We had an incredible time, filled with serenity and conviviality. A huge thank you for this unforgettable experience; we will return with great pleasure!

01/08/2026: We went there for dinner and coffee 😊 The food was very good; the spaghetti with chanterelles and the schnitzel with fries were delicious. The staff is also very friendly. They forgot our drinks once, but since the restaurant was so busy, that can happen 😊 For coffee, we had the apricot strudel and the iced coffee, both of which were made with love, you could tell. It's definitely worth a visit, whether for dinner or coffee. The restaurant is also very cozy; you immediately feel at home.
