04/11/2025: Very nice and well-kept place, with a few parking spaces available. Good food and decent service, perhaps a tablecloth wouldn't hurt. The menu isn't very extensive—just a few dishes, let's say, but they're good. Prices are a bit higher than usual, not really justified by the service or anything else. Still, a nice place!

16/12/2025: From Monte Resciesa (Alpe di Resciesa) in Val Gardena you can enjoy a 360° panoramic view of the Dolomites, with spectacular panoramas of the Sassolungo Group, the Sella, the Marmolada, the Odle, the Alpe di Siusi, the Val di Funes and the Valle Isarco, all the way to the Zillertal Alps, making it a privileged vantage point for admiring the UNESCO peaks and surrounding landscapes.
12/11/2025: A spectacular sight; the landscape is beautiful, the combination of the Dolomites and the little houses with their wooden roofs and full of flowers is very beautiful.

We've been coming back to the Larmhof for several years now and always enjoy eating there. It's an absolute must for us! The owners and staff are incredibly friendly, fun, and clearly love what they do. The food is outstanding. Everything is homemade and freshly prepared. From barley soup and Schluzkrapfen (filled pasta), to a mixed meat platter, bacon, cheese, chestnuts, and sweet desserts. Very generous portions and absolutely delicious!
It doesn't get more South Tyrolean than this! The atmosphere is cozy and rustic.
The price is absolutely justified and totally reasonable!!
We're already looking forward to next year!

20/01/2026: This place serves very good, non pretentious dinner.
They don't make reservations and the place is always full! - we waited about 30 minutes for a table, which was fine for us - we had a drink and chatted with the very friendly and welcoming baristas.
The service was incredibly efficient.
I forgot to take a picture of my pizza, but it was delicious - they serve all pizzas and pasta gluten free as well.

16/01/2026: We are staying at the country house, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The half-board option, including the evening menu, is an ABSOLUTE RECOMMENDATION! This gourmet meal is complemented by excellent wines, which the young host, Gabriel, is happy to recommend. The rest of the service staff are also incredibly friendly and genuinely kind. The newly renovated spa area is wonderful and another highlight. HIGHLY recommended for a relaxing holiday!!!
14/01/2026: Dishes expertly revisited from the South Tyrolean tradition, excellent quality ingredients, great hospitality and a "location" that is at times warm and comfortable in the stube and in the internal rooms, panoramic and relaxing on the terrace.

27/10/2025: Every visit to the funny crocodile is an experience! The atmosphere alone is special. Peter's service is personal and makes you feel right at home.
The menu is small but delicious, and Stefan cooks the best lasagna ever (but he's not the only one ☺️). A must-visit on any holiday in Kaltern!
15/10/2025: During our vacation in South Tyrol, we found this small restaurant on Goldgasse in Kaltern. We were very pleasantly surprised by the food: tortellini filled with porcini mushrooms and truffle foam, and very well-filled herb pasta. We sat across from the restaurant in a small garden with only five tables. It was incredibly cozy and elegantly set, and the weather was perfect on October 15th. A dream, with very friendly service.
Thank you, it was a very nice lunch.

05/10/2025: The menu is very small; it's not published on their website. It has many dishes with entrails. At night, the road to the restaurant is very dangerous because it's very small and unlit.
03/10/2025: We spent a wonderful evening at the Umser Mühlele. The ambiance is truly wonderful, and the service was super friendly.
We had three courses, and everything was excellently prepared and presented. The quality is evident in every dish. We felt completely at home and will definitely be back.
Card payments are no problem.

03/10/2025: We were really looking forward to a good pizza and were unfortunately disappointed. The pizza in the photo is my own homemade pizza.
I'm used to pizzas from South Tyrol that are completely different. The dough was very light, didn't bubble, and had zero flavor, as is appropriate for a dough made with, for example, Caputo flour. It tasted more like a crispy pie crust. Despite the wood-fired oven, it wasn't a truly good pizza. I can't recommend it. The atmosphere was okay, and the enterprising waiter was very nice. This is what my pizzas at home look like, and they're not from a wood-fired oven.
03/10/2025: We ate at Bachler twice during our stay and were impressed by the quality and service. There's something for everyone on the menu. The daily specials are very good.
Friendly, attentive, but never intrusive service. Their own pizza chef prepares pizzas at the oven. Truly a top recommendation.
