05/09/2025: I can’t remember what we paid for a tour. Something around €40 I think it was. Not worth it at all. Very short and didn’t really learn a lot. The chocolate samples we got were free to anyone. We have a tiny bit of vermouth which was the only extra I guess.

02/06/2025: Seconda volta che ceno da Rappa a distanza di molti anni... Abbiamo trovato la solita e bellissima atmosfera e ci siamo sentiti come ospiti a casa di amici.... Ampliata l'offerta Ford con preparazioni di alcuni semplici e deliziosi piatti tra cui mi permetto di suggerire le polpette al Sugo( qualcosa di straordinario...un esplosione di gusto tutto isolano). Naturalmente non mancano i loro taglieri misti di tutte le misure.... Una menzione particolare va alla loro cantina davvero unica ed immensa, e grazie al titolare riesci a fare un viaggio tra i piccoli vigneti di molti Paesi.... Alla Prossima...

29/08/2025: Poor food, they don't know fish. We had fried mixed seafood, calamari, and vegetables, and a chicken sandwich, all frozen and of poor quality. There's no table service, but we paid for everything: the tiles where your food is served, as if you could just take it away, the paper placemats, and the sauces you didn't order. They don't have a bathroom, and I was advised to take my daughter to the bar. There were seven of us and one child, and for the quality and quantity of food, we paid a fortune.

28/08/2025: A typical local restaurant, focusing on traditional Modica and Sicilian dishes. I'm originally from the area and rediscovered the flavors of my youth with potato balls, arancini, and excellent ricotta ravioli with pork stew. The lolli with fava beans and cavati are also excellent. Very fair prices. Recommended if you're passing through Modica!

07/09/2025: I'd been to this osteria years ago, the first time I came to Modica, brought there by locals. This year I returned because I had fond memories, which I can confirm. Homemade cuisine, generous dishes, and local ingredients at affordable prices. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. It's close to the center, a short walk away, so easy to get to. I recommend it!

13/08/2025: Pizzeria with a wide variety of pizzas made with fresh ingredients. The pizza is very light and the dough is very balanced. Maybe a bit of a wait, but the quality of the pizza was worth it. Located in a quiet area, not far from the center. Prices are moderately high. I recommend it 👌

The owner was incredibly friendly, flexible, and attentive to all our requests (and we had quite a few!). 05/07/2025: Absolutely fantastic spot! Pollo d’Oro is an absolute gem — traditional, no-frills, and brimming with local charm. I popped in for a bite and was immediately greeted by the warm, welcoming owner and a group of friendly regulars who not only engaged in perfect English but were keen to offer food recommendations. While waiting for my chicken (which was well worth the wait), I enjoyed a cold beer that hit the spot perfectly — crisp, refreshing, and exactly what was needed after a day in the sun. But the real surprise was the arancino — rich, flavourful, and possibly the best I’ve ever had. It set the tone for what was to come. When the chicken arrived, it was sensational. Perfectly cooked, seasoned to perfection, and served without any of the fuss or inflated prices you find in tourist-heavy spots. Everything about Pollo d’Oro feels authentic — the food, the people, the atmosphere. A brilliant place to eat well, drink happily, and feel like you’ve stepped into a slice of real Sicily. I’ll be back without a doubt.

The setting is elegant and welcoming, with a pleasant yet slightly rustic atmosphere, making the experience enjoyable and relaxing. The staff is friendly and helpful, attentive but never intrusive. The menu offers a good variety of dishes, including the excellent pizzas, a well-balanced mix of tradition and creativity. My meal was beautifully plated and prepared with quality ingredients. The flavors were authentic and harmonious. The wait times were also more than reasonable. The prices are in line with the quality, with no surprises. Ultimately, it's a place I'd happily return to and recommend to anyone looking for a well-prepared meal in a pleasant setting.
