26/12/2024: Located in the center of lower Modica, but in an alley that guarantees tranquility, it is a place furnished with simple elegance. Cozy, even romantic. The menu is constantly evolving, as is Francesca Barone's traditional and, at the same time, sparkling with imagination cuisine. Very young, without taboos but respectful of the seasonality and territoriality of tradition. In the dining room are sister Carla and her husband, who best manage the attentive service and a cellar full of surprises and distant harvests. Excellent success of the dishes and a quality/price ratio that is difficult to find elsewhere. The tasting menus leave ample freedom of choice and are extremely convenient. Very recommended!

28/09/2024: Absolutely stunning dinner last night with my wife. We had a shorter version of a tasting menu and really should have gone with the longer one, since every dish was so beautiful, creative, thoughtful and delicious. Service was just as fantastic as well, our server recommended a phenomenal wine that we absolutely fall in loved with and would never discover otherwise. You should definitely go and eat here. I can’t recommend this place enough. It was absolutely one of our favorite meals we had in Sicily.

19/03/2025: Got the recommendation from out B&B host and really enjoyed it! Especially the starters were excellent - great calamari and one of the best caprese I had in my life! Interesting selection of pizza toppings, choose wisely depending on how experimental you are!

10/03/2025: Fantastic evening, there's little to say, a breath of fresh air in a fantastic and new environment for modesty, fantastic atmosphere, the guys in the room managed by Santina were really good and polite. Montanarine delicious, excellent appetizer, but the pizza beats everything and is truly delicious. And to conclude the dessert for Women's Day, a cake reminiscent of mimosa, very fresh and delicious, so many compliments.

06/09/2024: Quando si va in Sicilia ci si perde tra i profumi di cannoli, pane, focacce e arancini. Ed è cosí che, passeggiando tra le chiese barocche e le vie della cittá di Modica, l'olfatto viene pervaso dai dolci profumi che escono dalle porte di @fedepasticceria : da oltre vent'anni simbolo di un luogo che rinnova una tradizione mantenendo stretti i legami con il territorio circostante. Qui le note aromatiche dei lievitati si fondono con il profumo del cioccolato di Modica. Entrando, l'offerta proposta da Giorgio Fede prende vita su un bancone lungo 30 metri - come ricorda spesso lui stesso - colmo di dolci tipici siciliani che rendono difficile la scelta: cioccolato, cannoli, pasticceria mignon, frutta Martorana, cassate e paste di mandorla e pistacchio, che come ogni specialità siciliana non possono che essere ricche e farcite. I croissant sfoggiano una meravigliosa crema da punta a punta, e da veri amanti del pistacchio la nostra scelta non poteva cadere su farciture diverse: la crema crema, 40% di pistacchio, risulta dolce al punto giusto e l'aroma tostato si lega a quello burroso dell'impasto in un connubio perfetto. Per gli amanti della ricotta non ci si può lasciare sfuggire uno dei marchi di fabbrica, il Macalle: tipico impasto di pan brioche fritto e passato nello zucchero semolato per poi essere farcito di ricotta vaccina. Non andate via senza assaggiare un dolce tipico di nome "impanatigghi": biscotti modicani a forma di semiluna, riempiti da un composto di mandorle, noci, cioccolato, cannella, chiodi di garofano e (davvero) carne di manzo. Si narra che furono inventati dalle suore di un convento nei giorni di Quaresima, camuffando il sapore della carne trita grazie all'uso del cioccolato per aiutare durante il periodo di magro. Tuttavia l'origine più probabile di questi dolci si dice sia da attribuire al periodo di invasione spagnola in Sicilia, come dimostrerebbe l'etimologia del nome. Il sapore? Unico e bilanciato: le spezie e l'intenso gusto del Il sapore?
