01/05/2025: On April 30, 2025 I took my class, a fifth primary school student, to visit this famous "chocolate shop" in Modica. It was a project organized in advance so the structure knew of our arrival. At a certain point a student asked to use the bathroom but was told that the bathroom was there but could not be used. I politely insisted, also because the child was unwell, but he was not allowed to use it. I had to rush my student up an endless row of stairs to a local bar. I give one star because I can't give less.

18/03/2025: As a solo traveller, diner, and lover of food it is very important to me that where I dine feels both special and comfortable. This was hands down the best restaurant I visited during my time in Sicily. The food was outstanding. I have a hard time eating in public but cleaned every plate! The wine was also very good. I would have to say though that the service was what really made the experience perfect. I believe the chef’s husband was the host and I could tell there was love in that place because the service and atmosphere was fantastic.

15/05/2025: Very noisy place with staff that lacks good manners, they have the habit of selling you the weight of the product even the packaging since they do not remove the tare. The products are delicious but everything else leaves much to be desired

12/05/2025: I put one star because I couldn't put zero. To start with, the head of the room was grumpy and did not want to work. We waited for more than two hours for a table that was never given to us. When a table became free they gave it to other people, we continued to wait patiently for our table and after we saw that there were three empty tables we asked if we could sit, but the girl did everything she could to not let us sit, creating non-existent problems. A piece of advice if you don't feel like working, sometimes it's better to stay at home and not ruin the evening for others.

15/05/2025: I think the photos are enough to make you understand the level of quality that distinguishes everything that is made by the Fede pastry shop. Everything is very good, very fresh and you realize that we are talking about raw materials of absolute quality. I believe, without fear of being contradicted, that the cream among the best in Modica is that of Fede but it would be wrong to list something and forget something else. The thing to do is only one, plan more stops in this pastry shop and try the breakfasts, the granitas, the cakes (pineapple and mandarin to die for), the simple fresh pastries as well as, during the Christmas and Easter periods, panettone and colombe..... Here you go on the safe side and the staff, as well as Giorgio have in kindness and courtesy, another of their strong points.... surely I am forgetting something but you play it safe and plan more stops!!!!!! Super super recommended....

24/04/2025: Very serious about wine and food, but not at all stuffily - a brilliant place at the very top of Modica, and entirely worth all the many, many steps to get there. Probably the best goats cheese I've ever eaten.

18/05/2025: Absolutely amazing! The service was impeccable and the food was so so delicious. Their caponata was the best we’ve had in Sicily and the pizza was perfect, with very reasonable prices, highly recommend!

15/05/2025: Without infamy and without glory, the same as many other places in the area. The prices of the fried appetizers are exorbitant and are revisited variants of the Neapolitan fried food (the sfizi).
