14/03/2026: On Saturday, March 14th, I booked a table for four people through TheFork at around 7:00 PM for 8:30 PM. We arrived at the restaurant about 20 minutes late, giving the restaurant the opportunity to free up the table. Once we arrived, however, the waiter told us he wasn't aware of the reservation, explaining that the restaurant only uses TheFork "for emergencies." This information, however, wasn't listed on the app, where the reservation was confirmed. During the conversation, the waiter also made a slightly disrespectful joke, suggesting we book by phone next time. Despite the initial inconvenience, the staff was willing to seat us, even though the waiter himself continued to insist on booking by phone in the future. Despite this, we still enjoyed our dinner. The food was excellent: well-prepared dishes, quality ingredients, and satisfying portions. Overall, the experience was positive from a culinary perspective, although the booking management via the app and the initial welcome could certainly be improved.

15/03/2026: I had the misfortune of eating a gluten-free pizza from them. The base is packaged, but it didn't even go through their oven, defrosted, probably in the microwave. It was white, soggy, with very little toppings. In fact, it was completely unseasoned, and I paid for a gourmet pizza! A sort of rubbery mix that resembled Snow White! (The most inedible pizza I've tried so far) Value for money: 0

07/03/2026: We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant in Modica. The place is beautifully maintained and creates a truly peaceful and unique atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pizzas are of a quality that, in my opinion, is above average, being balanced with quality ingredients. All in all, it was a pleasant and relaxing evening.

18/01/2026: First time, welcoming place, pizzas nothing special, only downsides: a bit of a long wait to order and to receive the pizzas, ordered 6 pizzas only 5 arrived and after a while the other one, almost no service, no care towards the diners, they seemed disoriented.

05/10/2025: We can't thank Torre Palazzelle enough for making our wedding unforgettable. The event was held outdoors, and despite the wind, Serena, Massimo, and their entire fantastic staff were responsive, attentive, and always ready to make us feel at ease. We ate divinely, and every dish was delicious, meticulously crafted, and served with great professionalism. Thanks to them all, our celebration was perfect, full of joy and worry-free.

30/08/2025: Great fish store. You'll have everything from anchovies to shrips, swordfish, bass etc. Probably a selection of 25-30 distinct products freshly available. Service is super friendly.

07/03/2026: We went for dinner two nights in a row. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. We dined with our 9-month-old baby. Authentic Sicilian home cooking. Seafood and meat dishes. The mixed antipasto was phenomenal! As were the cannoli and almond jelly.

24/02/2026: If we could give it a 0, it would be the fairest rating!!! I was having lunch in Modica for work with a colleague. We trusted them because there were two police vans parked outside the restaurant. The place was nice at first glance, but it was a shame about everything else. The waitress couldn't even understand what she was saying, and when she came to the table, there was a bad smell of sweat. Considering it's only February, I can't imagine how the waitress would behave in August. That said, we ordered an appetizer and two first courses. The frozen shrimp appetizer was the only thing missing, but the rest was insufficient. We waited for the first courses and hoped for a miracle, but that wasn't the case. I've never eaten such tasteless pasta; the fish flavor was nonexistent, and it even lacked salt. After this miserable lunch, we paid a whopping €59 for two. The owner didn't even bother to ask what was wrong, but instead just gave us the bill. After paying, my colleague told her confidentially that the pasta was inedible, and she could only say that she couldn't do anything about it, in an annoyed tone. I don't think more can be said than that. I hope for the lady's sake that the chef, if he has one, takes a cooking class, uses fresh fish since we're close to the sea, and takes a hospitality course since she works in the restaurant industry!

13/02/2026: We went to this agriturismo for lunch for the first time on Sunday. Excellent service. Excellent food and generous portions. €20 per person, drinks not included. But it's worth it! We'll be back.

01/02/2026: We had lunch at this agriturismo today and everything was pleasant, from the way they communicated on the phone, to their willingness to find us a table at the last minute, to the kindness of the staff, and finally, to the quality and quantity of the food. All I can say is: excellent.

01/03/2026: I've ordered takeout from Pizzeria S. Antonio in Modica Alta several times, and I can say the pizza is truly delicious! The dough is light and well-leavened, the ingredients are high-quality, and the flavor is always impeccable. Another super positive is the prices: truly, very reasonable, especially considering the quality they offer. So far, I've only tried the takeout service, which has always been punctual and organized, but I'll definitely be eating there sooner or later. Highly recommended! 🍕

07/12/2025: A quick and friendly pizzeria that primarily serves takeout. For a few years now, they've also been seating about forty inside and about twenty outside. Classic pizza with traditional dough, no frills, but also affordable. The Margherita here is still €4! They also make fries and gluten-free pizza. With fries and beer, we spent about €15 per person. The waitress was very kind!

22/02/2026: I've been to Pizzeria Ristorante La Contea, a true institution in Modica, and the experience was decidedly positive. The pizza is good, and you can taste the quality of the ingredients used. The rest of the menu is also of a good standard, with well-prepared and carefully prepared dishes. The prices are average, but absolutely fair for what's offered. The service is good: courteous and helpful staff, attentive to customer needs and always ready to accommodate any request. The only downside is the lack of WiFi inside the restaurant; if you have a phone provider with poor coverage, you risk being completely cut off. However, the owners assured me that this is under construction, so it will probably be fixed soon. Overall, a place I definitely recommend 👍
