05/07/2025: Absolutely fantastic spot! Pollo d’Oro is an absolute gem — traditional, no-frills, and brimming with local charm. I popped in for a bite and was immediately greeted by the warm, welcoming owner and a group of friendly regulars who not only engaged in perfect English but were keen to offer food recommendations. While waiting for my chicken (which was well worth the wait), I enjoyed a cold beer that hit the spot perfectly — crisp, refreshing, and exactly what was needed after a day in the sun. But the real surprise was the arancino — rich, flavourful, and possibly the best I’ve ever had. It set the tone for what was to come. When the chicken arrived, it was sensational. Perfectly cooked, seasoned to perfection, and served without any of the fuss or inflated prices you find in tourist-heavy spots. Everything about Pollo d’Oro feels authentic — the food, the people, the atmosphere. A brilliant place to eat well, drink happily, and feel like you’ve stepped into a slice of real Sicily. I’ll be back without a doubt.

02/07/2025: A randomly chosen place that turned out to be a real gem in the heart of Modica! The staff was kind and helpful, something that is almost non-existent in this sector. All the dishes were excellent, truly superb home cooking, more than generous portions, everything was excellent! If we were to return to Modica again, we would have no doubts about where to eat!

07/07/2025: A small seafood restaurant that is highly recommended! Everything is prepared on the spot and you can taste the freshness in every dish. The menu is not endless, but for this reason you can tell that they focus on the quality and seasonality of the product. The service was very kind and attentive, without being intrusive. There is a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a quiet dinner. We will definitely be back. A great discovery for those who love fresh seafood.

02/07/2025: A highly recommended restaurant, located in a fairly hidden location. You choose your own fish, which is then prepared. A small but fine selection of dishes centered around the fish, which, of course, takes center stage.

10/07/2025: We've been in Sicily for two weeks and visited over 10 cities – this restaurant was by far the best of them all! Delicious food, excellent service, everything was top-notch. We were a large group of 11 (6 adults and 5 children), and yet everything ran smoothly and in a very pleasant atmosphere. Thank you for your hospitality – we'll definitely be back if we're ever in the area again!

06/06/2025: I am not writing this review as a customer but as a worker because I worked for 1 month in this place as a dishwasher, a super negative experience, the chef named Luca is a terrible person, he thinks in his own way and if you have a problem he doesn't care, he kicks you out and doesn't want to know anything, so even if you have a fever of 40 or other types of unforeseen events you have to go to work, he is not an understanding person but the opposite and a person who only thinks about himself and at work you can even die, he doesn't care. So if you have to deal with this person, run away because you will have a bad time if you work there. Having said that, I am super happy to have left because in work there must be tranquility and respect which this individual absolutely does not have

30/03/2025: Welcoming and helpful owners. In the two days we had to stay in Modica for health reasons, we found this couple who welcomed us as if we had known each other for a long time, like friends. In fact, after the first time we had breakfast there, we decided not to look elsewhere for lunch. We had lunch for a little and the food was delicious. You don't necessarily have to spend a lot to eat well. Also suitable for children, they have a menu for them too. Obviously, on the second day, we had breakfast and lunch again with them, too bad that I didn't get to say hello to them, my husband said hello to them for me. And if I were to return, I would go and say hello to them straight away.

28/07/2025: Very nice place to get a super tasty pasta alla norma (if you’re vegan/lactose intolerant you can get it without ricotta) 😋 My friend loved the pistacchio pesto and guanciale pasta! The staff is also very kind and helpful! We really enjoyed our dinner at Bisboccia!

17/07/2025: While passing through Modica, I simply wanted to have a pasta dish for lunch. We chose this bistro somewhat by chance, and luck worked out very well! I enjoyed a pasta dish with pistachio pesto and Guanciale. I'd never eaten anything like it, and it was a real pleasure. Also noteworthy is the excellent white beer on offer. For dessert, I had chosen the Modica chocolate tasting, but I prefer French chocolate ;) All this in a tastefully designed setting and served by a young couple to whom we can only wish success. A gourmet recommendation!!
