05/08/2024: La miglior granita dell’isola, poco altro da aggiungere. Super disponibili per prenotare prodotti da portare sul continente, la ragazza che serve ai tavoli gentile e sorridente, tutto perfetto. Tappa imperdibile per chi passa per Vulcano.

09/08/2024: Excellent location with a beautiful view. We ordered three swordfish rolls... or rather breadcrumb rolls, 😅 the taste of fish non-existent and with a strong bitter aftertaste of burnt breadcrumbs. Obviously eaten out of hunger, but from Messisene doc rating 2. My friend ordered the Villanazza pasta with peppers, courgettes, aubergines and cherry tomatoes..Cherry tomatoes??? Huge tomatoes on the plate, and all the vegetables seemed boiled rather than fried. So the result of the dish was the pasta on one side and the vegetables on the other... it looked like a dish you would serve during a hospital stay. To top it off, the girl who served us very politely removed the plate and dropped the tomatoes on my son's trousers and equally politely brought us the spray and the brush to clean the stain!!! Experience certainly NOT to be recommended!!

21/07/2024: The restaurant, located in the center of Lipari, presents itself as a pleasant and aesthetically refined environment, with handcrafted ceramics that capture attention. However, the food did not live up to expectations. A very negative aspect was the waitress's insistence on offering us activities (taxi service and disco evening) managed by her family members. We found this behavior out of place, as the insistence became, over time, annoying, partially compromising the experience.

12/08/2024: Esperienza straordinaria. Era la nostra prima volta in questo locale e le nostre aspettative non sono state disattese. Tutto buonissimo, dall'antipasto al dolce. Anche il personale è stato squisito e piacevole. In particolare, Lorenzo, un giovane maestrino di sala, professionale e simpatico. Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo. Lo consiglio vivamente.

28/06/2024: Ottima granita di mandorla e limone, brioche con crema al rum da 10, cannoli con ricotta mista buoni preparati all'istante. A Lipari se vuoi gustare gelati o pasticceria davvero artigianale e di qualità non c'è altro indirizzo. Solo Pino D'Ambra.

18/07/2024: Ho avuto il piacere di cenare al ristorante Il Cappero presso il Therasia resort con mio marito, un'esperienza culinaria che difficilmente dimenticherò. Dal momento in cui siamo arrivati, siamo stati accolti con calore e professionalità, e l'atmosfera del locale ha subito creato un ambiente piacevole e rilassante. Una menzione speciale va a Michela, la nostra guida gastronomica per la serata. Con grande competenza e passione, ci ha illustrato i piatti del menù, descrivendoci ogni dettaglio con precisione. Le pietanze sono state semplicemente straordinarie. Ogni piatto è un'opera d'arte, preparato con ingredienti freschi e di alta qualità.

10/08/2024: We stayed here for 5 nights as a family of four. This is a wonderfully located and truly relaxing resort. We were greeted at the gates (after a very easy transfer from the ferry port) by the wonderful Maria who gave us a superb tour of the resort and was continually helpful, attentive and charming throughout our stay. She is an absolute star here and helped organise and recommend loads of activities including a private boat trip to the neighbouring islands, diving and a hiking tour of the volcnano crater (led by the fantastic Santi - I’d definitely check this one out). The location is stunning with great view of the Faraglioni rocks and the coast of Lipari. At sunset this has to be one of the best views of any sunset in the Mediterranean and I never tired of watching the sun dip beneath the sea with a smear of orange and gold. The cactus gardens and grounds are also beautifully kept and the pool and public area of the hotel are clean and luxurious. The staff with just one exception were really wonderful and we felt welcomed and looked after in the numerous restaurants and bars. Special shout out to Michaela and Lamin for making us feel at home and welcome. Our only bad experience was at breakfast one morning where the staff member was rude, abrupt and just got our order almost entirely wrong and then lied when we asked for it to be fixed. It shows how just one bad staff member can taint a hotel but we let the team know and I hope they deal with it. We had rooms 126 and 127 and they both had fabulous views and were well appointed. Housekeeping were excellent here - super helpful and polite and the rooms were always restocked and immaculately cleaned. The mini bar, espresso coffee and lots of water are included in the room which is a nice touch especially when you consider some of the highish prices around the resort. On that note, we thought the resort offered fair value given the quality and service although €18 for a single glass of white wine is a little steep maybe. They are also multiple restaurants here to choose from and we ate at them all, from both 1 star Michelin restaurants, the restaurant by the pool and the excellent pizza restaurant. We had good meals everywhere and I even had a Pizza tasting menu which was a great first for me. I’ve left separate restaurant reviews where appropriate. The gym and spa were also very well equipped and spacious and had good air con throughout. We enjoyed using these facilities a lot. Also make sure you walk down to the sea entry point - it is very well designed, has a lifeguard and the water is clear, cool and beautiful. The resort also runs a regular shuttle service to the town which is helpful and a great way to visit the beaches and local shops and restaurants. A few small points which perhaps need addressing at a 5 star level. Room 127 had an almost unworkably small bathroom where the door closed onto the toilet and it was a squeeze for two people to use. This was a feature of the 2 level room design and was offset by the amazing room itself and huge balcony. The price for drinks in most places was at the top end but then the service and quality was excellent. There were always good sunbeds (lovely double ones) by the pool but we were occasionally denied more than 2 towels despite there being 4 of us which confused me. And maybe breakfast could do with a few more options but that is being quite picky but the choice is a little below other 5 star hotels we have stayed at. Overall we had a fabulous time at the resort and would definitely recommend it.

11/08/2024: Meraviglioso! Vista con tramonto spettacolare, personale gentilissimo, tutto perfetto. Antipasti, primi e secondi tutti da ricordare. Tappa obbligata quando torneremo a Lipari!

08/08/2024: Frequento le isole Eolie da decenni e, mediamente, non ci sono ristoranti particolarmente interessanti. Ma il ristorante Al Tramonto, in località Acqua Calda a Lipari è stato più che una splendida sorpresa! Rarissimamente abbiamo mangiato pesce VERAMENTE freschissimo. Qui l'abbiamo trovato. Il personale è cordiale ma non invadente. Il servizio più che soddisfacente. La location in terrazza panoramica fa il resto. Da non perdere. Indispensabile la prenotazione, anche se c'è la massima ddisponibilità ad accogliere, anche all'ultimo momento. Complimenti!!!!
