We stumbled upon Ristorante Il Corallo almost by chance, drawn by the intimate atmosphere of the internal garden, and we left wanting to return the next evening—which we certainly did.
The cuisine is true Aeolian tradition: ultra-fresh fish, distinct flavors, and quality ingredients. We ordered the chef's seafood appetizer, pistachio-crusted tuna (simply extraordinary), swordfish rolls, and a side dish of caponata and prawn pasta. Each dish was carefully presented and generously portioned. The cannoli to finish: perfect.
The service was attentive and friendly from start to finish. The passion with which the restaurant is run is clearly evident.
The price-quality ratio is more than fair for the quality offered. Among the best seafood restaurants in Lipari, without a doubt. Recommended for anyone who wants to experience the island's gastronomy at its most authentic.

14/05/2026: Best restaurant on the island from Catania, no one else offers such good and generous dishes. Restaurant run by a family that seems to put heart and love into what they offer.
Best restaurant tested since we have been in Sicily. Fresh, generous and delicious/full of taste dishes. It wasn't in our backpacker guide.
For me, traditional Italian, spaghetti alle sarde, excellent, my wife had a grilled beef bistecca and despite wanting it well cooked the meat was tender and juicy.
They offered us a shot of malvasia wine and local artisan cookies. Excellent!

31/05/2026: We stopped for a snack at this deli. We tried some of the house delicacies, all very good and tasty, but the octopus meatballs were definitely a real treat. Highly recommended.

19/09/2025: I discovered this ice cream maker through work on the beautiful Panarea island.
At a wedding I organized, Francesco won over all the guests with his excellent granitas, artisanal ice creams, and cakes, all served with such professionalism.
Highly recommended if you're stopping on the beautiful Bougainvillea island.

04/06/2026: A classic in Stromboli, good fish, impersonal, detached service, Zurro goes between the tables to present the dishes then the "boys" serve the tables quickly, some are offered a Malvasia at the end but we are not among the lucky ones! That's fine like this

11/10/2025: Maurizio was very kind and welcoming. The caponata was the best I've tasted in the Aeolian Islands, and the stuffed squid with sauce was wonderful! Thank you.
05/10/2025: For the owner alone this restaurant is worth a visit. Such a lovely and engaging man, who spoke Italian, English and German with us. The food is delicious and though on the pricier side, portion size and quality justify it. We had the best seafood noodles here. (Sadly I only have a photo of the empty shells)

20/08/2023: Chiosco in prossimità della spiaggia di acque calde. A 10 metri dal mare e panini con le melanzane fatte in casa davvero gustosi ed economici. Da provare anche solo per la simpatia della proprietaria e dello staff. Ottimo!

23/06/2024: We were staying in the hotel for our final days at the end of a disastrous trip in mainland Sicily. We had dinner in the hotel on our last night & it was the best meal we had eaten in 12 days. Very sorry we hadn’t eaten there earlier. They prepared pasta specifically for me & my husband had swordfish in a lovely herb sauce.
Staff very attentive & we had a memorable evening.

U pani cunsatu poteva avere più ricotta salata, ma ugualmente buono.
09/07/2024: Vengo tutti gli anni da parecchio... Quest anno ho trovato un grosso cambiamento, in cucina c è una chef che cucina stupendamente,... Già solo questo ti cambia la giornata, comunque anche lo staff sulla spiaggia e bravissimo, gentile e preparato!!!
