A nice place facing the square with a large terrace.
We had pizzas, perhaps not exceptional, but still good.
There were some service hiccups, but that can happen when there's a lot of people to look after.
And it wasn't Saturday night!
The prices seemed reasonable.
20/11/2025: Nice restaurant in the seaside area.
On a winter Monday, we were the only ones in the restaurant. Good food and super friendly staff.

The food was decent (everything tasted better before), but the service was poor... we had to ask for a Pepsi and more wine three times, and in the end they even scolded us for asking for a different waiter... that's just not right... the prices have gone up, but the quality hasn't!!!
11/12/2025: Excellent from every point of view; the house menu includes a myriad of raw and hot seafood starters and two tastings of first courses.

Il Muretto in Scillichenti is an absolute guarantee! For me, it represents the quintessential seasoned bread: simply delicious, with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. But the real surprise is that everything is top-quality: beyond the famous bread, every product is excellent. The service is impeccable, friendly, and fast. If you're passing through, it's a must-stop. Highly recommended!

But there's more: Delicatessen, Pizzeria, First and Second Courses, Side Dishes, Salads, Spit-Roasted Chicken, Rusticeria, and Scacciate.

02/11/2025: Excellent selection of raw fish, generous array of appetizers. Very fresh fish, fast service, and very welcoming staff. Probably one of the best seafood dinners I've had in recent years. This place was a pleasant discovery, and I'll definitely be back to try other dishes.

15/12/2025: Delicious vegan food, perfect for those seeking tasty and balanced meals. The salads are hearty, and even a pork shoulder can be a meal in itself, or complemented with PPP (a delicious reinterpretation of pane e panelle!).
The outdoor seating area is charming, equipped with covers and protected from the winter breeze by plastic sheets.
Fast, clean, and efficient service, customers can enjoy a peaceful and serene experience, an ideal break from exploring the city, between the Verga House Museum and the Ancient Theater of Catania!

12/02/2026: Great meal. Lots of choice and portion sizes brilliant. Only criticism was that we were offered an after dinner aperitif which was implied to be gratis, however we were charged 3 eur each. When there’s 19 of you, it’s a bit of money!
09/02/2026: Went there last night with the excuse of Carnival. The crepes were delicious, especially the ones with anchovies. I don't know about the ricotta ones or the honey ones, because I don't eat both. Highly recommended. They also have a wide selection of rotisserie.

16/03/2026: Every time I go to Sicily, I bring home packages of fresh pasta. The incredibly kind staff wraps it up especially for me. As soon as I get home, I freeze it all so I have a supply for a while! I recommend trying the maccheroni filati (I hope I didn't get the name wrong), it's fantastic with ragù.
23/02/2026: I bought fresh pasta (tagliatelle) and sauce (ragù) with high expectations, but I was disappointed. I understand that making ragù may seem easy, but I'm very picky!
The pasta was too soft and lost its consistency when cooked, the sauces tasted rather bland and unbalanced, and I also had to wait forever, even though I'd ordered everything in advance.
