13/10/2025: For me, it's 🏡. Simple yet carefully crafted dishes, made with excellent ingredients and authentic flavor. The service is young and professional, attentive without ever being intrusive. More than the food, I love the atmosphere: it feels like a place suspended in time, where everything flows more slowly and harmoniously. A small treasure of peace in the heart of the city, frequented by tourists and locals who share the same pleasure of good food.

11/10/2025: We enjoyed visiting this place a couple of times during our stay in Catania..The host made us feel very welcome and was knowledgeable about local wine and let us try a couple of different ones to see which we preferred. The wine was great. The food we had was very tasty. We did notice that at times you had to wait a while for drinks to arrive so maybe don't go if you are in a rush ..We enjoyed sitting outside under the trees watching the world go by. A really lovely relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend.

23/05/2025: Excellent ice creams, black chocolate ice cream: superb. The white cream and fresh fruit cake is very good. The chocolate cream breakfasts are excellent. The cartocciata is good. Average prices. Recommended The place is a bit small, only takeaway or standing on site. Parking is sometimes not easy.

12/09/2025: Everything was perfect; the quality, quantity, and price were amazing! We ordered fries, a standard salad, an onion and bacon roll, two horse meat paninis, a bottle of water, and 1L of house wine for €27. The service was also very good. The only thing I don't like is that they charge €1.50 per person for a cover. But anyway, it's worth going.

07/09/2025: Quite a quiet place but the strong point is the famous horse steak and the onion salad. Try it and believe it.

21/09/2025: The food is truly delicious! I gave it 4 stars for the service and atmosphere because the tables are on the street, with plastic cutlery, and you have to pick up your own plates and bring them to your table. But these are just minor details; the food is excellent and definitely worth a visit.

15/09/2025: Excellent sandwiches, plated meat could be improved. I've eaten at I Mantellina several times, and I must say the sandwiches are truly delicious: the sausage and caponata sandwich, in particular, is a true specialty, tasty and well-prepared. As for the plated beef, my experience wasn't as positive: the cut was unusual and poorly finished, and the meat was tough and sinewy. It was a generous portion, but I would have preferred less quantity and higher quality. In summary: I definitely recommend the sandwiches, which are the restaurant's strong point, but I wasn't entirely sold on the plated beef.

06/10/2025: Overpriced calamari. Not enough toppings on the salads , just too many leaves. Side salad for the calamari didn't come, when I asked for it, they brought leftovers from the other salad ordered (there was literally a small chicken piece from the other salad in it). There was a random old burnt fry(?) in the chicken salad. Left the wine list and said she would come back without explaining that there was only one option for wine by the glass. 25 minutes before we even got drinks. Tuna millefoglie and desserts were good.

04/10/2025: Nestled in the village of Acicastello, where you can breathe in the sea air and enjoy the delicious local dishes... Excellent service, even more attentive and available to meet every customer request.

22/06/2025: The best Chinese food I have ever tried, definitely the best in Catania. Very friendly and helpful staff and a very welcoming and clean environment. Excellent value for money. Must try!

19/09/2025: The burger looked good but unfortunately weren’t tasty. The servise was great. The chairs out side were extremely uncomfortable.

15/09/2025: Perfect for a quick lunch. The chicken burger was good. The beer selection is extensive. Service is fast, attentive, and humorous. The ambiance is modern. The shop is located on a quiet side street.

26/09/2025: We ate there on recommendation. You can pick the fish from the ice, which is nice, but preparing it is a disaster. The fish wasn't scaled, raw inside, unseasoned, and tasteless. The place was very noisy because of the locals. I DO NOT recommend it.

18/10/2025: We tried several dishes, some good (the scallops in Marsala, the caponata), others lacking (the parmigiana, the spaghetti with braised clams). The service was extremely slow, but they explained to us that there was a kitchen shortage. Overall, mediocre.

18/10/2025: The food is just exceptionally good, very good value for money. The staff is very friendly and generous with the homemade limoncello. I highly recommend it!
