Lorenzo, the owner, is very friendly and kind. He guided us through an indescribable flavor experience, recommending excellent wine and delicious Tuscan focaccia!
We can't wait to return!
16/11/2025: The place is great, they do have an interesting variety of wines to taste but please be ready that in case you decide to buy a bottle of wine as take away, you probably receive a bottle of sour (spoiled) wine. This is what exactly happened to us (at least it wasn't too expensive one bottle), so 3 stars out of 5 🫠

13/11/2025: If I lived in Caltagirone, I'd be a daily customer of Uncle Totò. Initially, we thought he wasn't very friendly, but we realized it was just tiredness; he does everything for everyone! In the end, he welcomed us just like a SICILIAN UNCLE KNOWS! The lunch was delicious! We left a signature on the wall in the entrance! We'll be back "Zu Totò"

27/11/2025: We visited this restaurant after reading the excellent reviews. Our expectations were not disappointed: a welcoming seafood restaurant located in the heart of Caltagirone, just steps from the famous Scala di Santa Maria. The staff welcomed us with extreme kindness and immediately showed their willingness to present the menu, discussing it between courses. The quality/price ratio is remarkable, and the dishes were very fresh and plentiful! Highly recommended! Photos show some of the dishes we sampled.
23/11/2025: We fell upon this lovely restaurant whilst walking round Ortigia at the beginning of NoBennett. Delightful staff, exceptional service, good menu, fabulous food, good value. Paul had excellent swordfish and I (non fish eater) had beautifully cooked chicken escalope. So good we went a second time in our one week holiday and it was just as good the second time.

06/11/2025: A delightful older gentleman who, with just as much heart, cooks and talks about typical regional products. It's worth booking in advance, as everything is cooked exclusively for a given meal, and otherwise you might miss out.

Huge selection of beers, delicious cocktails (Long Island is a must) and super staff.
Just come in. Every day.

Great atmosphere... yesterday there was even live music.

02/11/2025: We stopped by almost by chance, looking for a typical trattoria, near the end of service. The staff was incredibly kind, the food excellent, and the hospitality was top-notch. It was a wonderful experience. Well done everyone!
30/10/2025: Tucked away at the end of a little alley in Acireale lies this gem of Sicilian cuisine. I honestly had tears in my eyes from the meat sauce (and maybe a bit of tiredness, I admit). The Pasta alla Norma I had was truly inspiring. We were warmly welcomed and had an absolutely wonderful meal. *I think a part of me died right there, and went to Sicilian heaven.* Highly recommended!

01/10/2025: Just an update on previous review: they are still closed!
18/09/2025: Giving one star coz we didn't get to eat anything!!! How difficult is it to update on Google that its closed for business. We read reviews online, planned especially for this restaurant as we were staying far..but when we reach and saw it closed and a note on the door that it was closed for vacation. Very disappointing!!!
Pl be tech savvy and post it online if you are going to be closed.
