La Grotta di Vigata
Porto empedocle
03/05/2026: Very fresh and well cooked fish
29/04/2026: We came for dinner without a reservation, and yet... it was a fantastic dinner! I loved the sardines alla beccafico and the red mullet, but they're so delicious. We'd have to come back every night to truly enjoy everything on the menu. The location is truly enchanting, and the service is perfect. Recommended for everyone, especially for intimate, romantic dinners.

Coltello e Forchetta Gastronomia di Sergio stagno
Porto empedocle
15/06/2026: An exclusive evening, the scents of the sea on your table. Careful preparation of the dishes, courtesy, and a family atmosphere. From appetizers to dessert, a riot of aromas and flavors. Feel at home. Thanks to the Lobster King and his staff.
12/06/2026: I had dinner with my partner (who has celiac disease) at this restaurant. It's a welcoming and well-maintained place. She asked for pasta alla norma, and the kitchen immediately fried the eggplants because they reported that the ones they had prepared were contaminated. The pasta was plentiful and delicious. As a true BARI resident (a fish lover), I asked for something off the menu; it was very fresh, delicious, and perfectly creamed. Those dishes embody the quality of the products, the knowledge, and the passion of those who work hard. Kudos to the entire staff. The only downside? This cuisine is addictive.

A casa do zi Pè
Favara
07/06/2026: This restaurant is well worth a visit. We had excellent tasty pasta dishes here from the daily specials menu, a red mullet ragu and a Sicilian pasta with clams. All the food was really well cooked and very tasty. Service was great and we loved the atmosphere, sitting outside. We would also recommend the local white wine.
05/06/2026: Thank you for this wonderful evening with authentic, tasty, and generous cuisine 🥰
They gave us excellent advice and were very attentive 👋🏻

Pititto Ristorante
Agrigento
06/06/2026: The owner greets you at the door with kindness inviting you to a great meal experience. The food here is out of this world. Price is fair.
06/06/2026: Great location at the start of the historic town and near the information center. Parking (paid: €2 for 6 hours) right next door. Very welcoming staff and menus available in French. Excellent Aperol Spritz! A wide variety of dishes makes choosing the hardest part! We recommend the amberjack with eggplant pie, the seafood linguine, the stuffed squid/mussels/clams, the tiramisu... The only downside was the slightly long wait for our food, but it was well worth it as we thoroughly enjoyed our meal afterwards. A lovely spot for a delicious meal, perfect before or after a stroll through the old town 😊

Pizza Pazza A Pezzi Per I Pazzi Della Pizza
Agrigento
25/05/2026: A good place for dinner, it boasts several awards for best pizzas. There's a wide variety of options and the staff is very friendly. However, while the pizzas were quite good, they didn't strike me as outstanding compared to other Italian pizzerias. Total price around €23 per person.
12/05/2026: Pizza out of this world delicious

That'S Amore Pizzeria
Raffadali
13/06/2026: Exceptional pizza. Very light dough and quality ingredients!
Superb montanare!
Friendly and smiling.
11/05/2026: I'm still speechless! If you come here, you absolutely must try the "montanarine" as an appetizer: soft, light, and incredibly flavorful. The one with red shrimp is my favorite, such a riot of flavors that I would have eaten 10 more because it was so good. The pizza is also delicious; you can tell they use top-quality ingredients, and the dough is incredibly easy to digest.
But the real highlight are the owners: they have a smile plastered on their faces, always ready with a joke, and an energy that lights up the entire room. You feel like you're visiting old friends instead of being in a restaurant. The highest quality and a unique atmosphere—you really couldn't ask for more!

07/06/2026: One of the best restaurants on our Sicily trip. Superb food and incredibly friendly service. It's very small, so you might want to make a reservation, or you might get lucky.
04/06/2026: A traditional trattoria in a small alley on the main street of the city
Small hall with old decoration. Nice dishes, fast and polite service. Nice local wine.
Overall a very good experience and normal prices for the location

La Locanda di PalmaUliva
Favara
22/06/2026: A true surprise and one of the best gastronomic experiences of our trip to Sicily.
Stefano and Rosita open the doors of their home and share their decades of experience and passion for Sicilian cuisine with their guests, making you feel more like a guest than a customer.
Dinner was a journey through traditional flavors, prepared with local ingredients, excellent raw materials, and great care. We enjoyed a rich selection of appetizers and a splendid first course with fresh homemade pasta. Everything was delicious, but two dishes remained in our hearts: the caponata, simply exceptional, and the meatballs in sweet and sour sauce, truly unforgettable.
Stefano and Rosita's welcome was warm and sincere, making us feel right at home. Places like this represent the true essence of Sicilian hospitality.
If you're looking for authentic Sicilian cuisine, away from the touristy restaurants, PalmaUliva is a must-see.
Thank you Stefano and Rosita, we'll definitely be back!
13/06/2026: An absolutely amazing evening. Felt like you were sitting in the dining room of their home and welcomed as part of their family. The food was magnificent and plentiful, probably 10 different plates. all local produce. Included wine and finished with liqueur

13/12/2025: Amazing pizzas are addictive, the owners are friendly, helpful and accommodating.
08/12/2025: A place every Italian city should have. Atmospheric, affordable, and delicious. The pizza is not large, priced at €2.00, but very tasty. Good beer is also not expensive at €2.50. I highly recommend it.

Carusu Restaurant
Agrigento
01/07/2026: 7-course dinner - 2 bottles of wine with aperitif and digestif.
The restaurant, the service, and the food: wow! An incredibly magical place.
The service is punctual, they pay very close attention to you, and it is executed wonderfully.
They are listed in the Michelin Guide, and that is certainly well deserved; a superb wine list with a sommelier who knows his stuff.
A beautiful story of two brothers who came here from a pizza place. The staff is friendly and affable.
The food is what you expect from Sicily: classic flavors with a modern twist.
The food itself is good but not exceptional; yes, you get many amuse-bouches and bread preparations, etc.
But as a tip, I must mention that it is very salty and there are no huge flavor explosions. It is beautifully presented, and the service and everything surrounding it is top-notch.
But if you want to head towards that star, which I see happening, you need to bring more excitement and sensation into the dishes. For example:
With the amuse-bouches, everything was beautifully presented; the flavors of the chickpea, lemon, olive, and cherry chocolate chicken preparations were really tasty and fine, but the 2 amuse-bouches of tuna with crispy onion and the anchovy slider were not quite perfect. The tuna dish with onion was standard, and the slider was too large, too filling, and lacked flavor.
Next, we were served bread courses, about which opinions at the table were divided; the croissant and the crispy bread with olive were well-received. The grain crisps were very hard, and the bread was simple. That is not a problem, but unfortunately, the olive oil was not of high quality; the bottle was nice, but the flavor lacked depth. The pizza was also flavorful, but the dough was greasy. So much bread is unnecessary in my opinion. The first course of shrimp was tasty: good red shrimp with a beautiful chickpea cream; admittedly, the same product was served in quick succession, but the dish worked and was very delicious. The sauce, on the other hand, was superfluous and smelled and tasted a bit too fishy, not in the best way; otherwise, it was a beautiful dish.
Next, a potato dish, of which the main component was very good, but the surrounding garnishes were inconsistent. The aioli was lovely and full of flavor. That was in comparison to the yogurt sauce.
Then a piece of duck; the duck was fine but had a tough piece of fat. The garnishes were tasty with the asparagus and very pleasant. However, a bit too much pepper was used; the freshness of the cucumber kept it well balanced.
A stuffed pasta dish with rabbit; the sauce was very tasty but too salty. The pasta was fine and the flavors were good. The rabbit stuffing was too dry and contained a bone here and there. Salad pea cress was also present. I would say leave it out, especially if the cress is already present in multiple dishes.
After that, more pasta; this was well-seasoned with acidity and a nice sauce. It was slightly on the sweet side, but otherwise, the flavors were very good. Then the main course, and this was less impressive; the spinach sauce was overpowering and the fresh catch was dry. The granitas were also disappointing this time, and once again, the same cresses were used.
Then a surprising pre-dessert: sabayon ice cream with Marsala wine and fig. This was really delicious; the salt flakes brought everything into balance. Nicely sweet, salty, sour, and refined.
The dessert was tasty but on the salty side due to the crumble, yes! Salt is necessary in desserts, but too much is overpowering. The ice cream was fresh and the honey came through nicely. Good textures, and a palate cleanser at the end worked well.
There were no friandises, which I could have recommended (and omitting an amuse-bouche or bread course).
We drank an Etna gin tonic and a rosé champagne beforehand. Also a bottle of Chardonnay from Agrigento and a Barolo Masconi. Very good wines! Also a Marsala dessert wine and an extra champagne. This was really well received.
A truly fun and good experience. I would definitely come back despite some criticism.
A pleasant session in a beautiful establishment with good drinks and service. Friendly staff and a top-notch evening. Highly recommended, you have to try it!
Thanks to the team!
26/06/2026: Carusu was our best dining experience in Agrigento. We had the tasting menu and the food was perfect, as was the wine suggested by the sommelier. The ambiance was quiet with good music, and the service was very kind and attentive. Each course was patiently explained. They even provided a cake for my wife’s birthday, which was assembled right at our table. We had a minor issue with the bill, but it was properly resolved by their team a few days later. We highly recommend it and will surely be back when we return to the city.

11/06/2026: A very positive experience... discovered by chance, we were pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the girls Francesca and Flo, who created a "homely" atmosphere around us... very tasty typical Sicilian dishes and excellent value for money.
Highly recommended 🤩
