07/06/2026: Excellent food! We had a fresh, delicious fish that Franco lovingly carved. One star deducted because of the bill. We've never eaten so expensively anywhere else.

12/06/2026: I had dinner with my partner (who has celiac disease) at this restaurant. It's a welcoming and well-maintained place. She asked for pasta alla norma, and the kitchen immediately fried the eggplants because they reported that the ones they had prepared were contaminated. The pasta was plentiful and delicious. As a true BARI resident (a fish lover), I asked for something off the menu; it was very fresh, delicious, and perfectly creamed. Those dishes embody the quality of the products, the knowledge, and the passion of those who work hard. Kudos to the entire staff. The only downside? This cuisine is addictive.

28/06/2026: Everything was very good: seafood spaghetti was good, but almost all the clams were empty. Service was fine, and paccheri with swordfish was delicious. For main courses, the grilled fish of the day was good but not great. Swordfish was top-quality, red mullet was not cleaned properly and was very bitter, and not very good. Calamari was okay. The location was nice, so we stayed indoors with air conditioning.

12/07/2026: Last year we stayed at L'Albero for a few days and immediately fell in love with the beautiful, lovingly restored and furnished rooms (we were able to see all four), so much so that this year we decided to spend our entire 16-day vacation there. Gerlando and his entire team are incredibly helpful, courteous, and friendly. The adjacent restaurant serves delicious food in the beautiful garden among lemon and orange trees, and offers a wide selection (pizza, pasta, meat, etc.). Breakfast, served by Nancy, is abundant and varied; she always asks if we need anything else. Her kind, cheerful, and helpful nature is contagious, and so every day always starts with a smile—thank you, Nancy, for everything. Outside, there is a large parking lot surrounded by trees, bushes, and flowers, with a beautiful, centuries-old olive tree in the center. The truly beautiful beach is just a few minutes' walk away, or you can drive to a larger parking lot. We highly recommend L'Albero to all visitors: it's wonderful and the people who work there are special and immediately enter your heart.

06/05/2026: I was unsure where to buy my almond sweets to take home. A friend's recommendation took me to Zamnito. I picked up a 1kg tray of sweets and was offered one to try. Delicious. The perfect balance between almond paste and sugar. Soft and fragrant, as a handmade baked good should be. Compliments for both the product and the kindness. Much appreciated and enjoyed at home too. I recommend it.

20/03/2026: Excellent place, both as a restaurant/trattoria and for pizza. It has an outdoor area with several tables right in the pedestrian area. Excellent food, tasty and generous portions. The staff is very polite and helpful, the dining room is well-kept. Clean and tidy, even the bathroom, though a bit small. In the summer it fills up with tourists, so reservations are required. Average prices. Money well spent.

05/07/2026: During my wife and I's brief three-day stop in Porto Empedocle, we enjoyed lunch for two days at the Altamarea B&B, enjoying delicious seafood, served with great courtesy by the owner and her young assistant. On our third and final day in Porto Empedocle, we were rudely turned away by a waitress for dinner (we were evening shift employees). She told us the restaurant would start at 7:30 PM, but as soon as we left, the same waitress seated a group of other guests.

01/07/2026: A great place to try Sicilian food, the pasta is incredible, the pizzas are top-notch, mussels...everything! The girl who served us was super friendly, everything was great.

Congratulations to Gio Bar in Porto Empedocle for having the courage to offer such a unique flavor and for having executed it so beautifully. It's one of those flavors that lingers in your memory and makes you want to order another cone right away.

07/06/2026: We went to this bar every morning of our stay because the pasticciotti are really good!!! The bar, tables, etc. are very clean and the waitress was very kind too.
