17/08/2025: As a fellow citizen, I'm truly mortified and outraged to know that in certain businesses in the seaside village of Mondello, like the one I'm focusing my attention on, many tourists are greeted by managers and staff incapable of welcoming guests with the kindness and courtesy they deserve. Plain and tasteless sandwiches. Simply never again.

17/08/2025: We visited Roxy Ristofriggitoria in Mondello and found it to be the perfect place to enjoy Palermo street food: crispy fried foods, rich and flavorful sandwiches, generous portions, and fair prices. The atmosphere is simple and welcoming, with the option of dining in one of Palermo's most charming squares. 14/08/2025: They didn't even take our order and then told us we had to wait an hour. The staff was rude to customers and lacked professionalism. I don't know about the food because they don't even know how to take reservations.

04/09/2025: The cocktails are good, but the place is a bit anonymous. I haven't seen the menu, though.

19/08/2025: The food isn't bad, but the staff is rude and tries to rip you off in every way, such as serving you a larger ice cream cup to overcharge, or bringing extra bottles of water. Furthermore, the aperitif menu isn't clearly stated. In short, you have to be careful and stick to the menu, and be wary of the waiters.

18/08/2025: Yesterday I went with my family for an aperitivo. The food was good and the drinks were well-made, and the price was more than fair. The staff were extremely kind and professional. We'll be back for an aperitivo.

21/08/2025: A simple and welcoming place. I tried the pork chop sandwich and found it delicious, tender, and flavorful. The prices are really low, which makes it even more enjoyable. Perfect for a quick, tasty lunch without breaking the bank. Recommended!

17/08/2025: Sky-high prices: two sandwiches with two ingredients, namely sausage and mayonnaise, cost €7 total, hand-served, with no service, no table, and nothing. It's true that prices have gone up, but the cost of sausages and sandwiches doesn't seem to have reached those levels. We're talking about a basic place, with plastic plates and cups, and in my specific case they didn't accept payment by POS. I don't know if they offer this service, which in theory should be mandatory, as far as I know.

17/08/2025: We stopped for a drink and got this dish for free. Considering the views, we highly recommend it.

25/06/2025: We were greeted by a very helpful and friendly gentleman at Reception who automatically gave us a map of the area and circled various places of interest. He wrote down times of opening/closing and costs. Unfortunately, we were given a room in a separate part of main Hotel where we had to take the lift to the 5th flr . Come out onto the rooftop walk down a metal staircase and then we were faced with exactly 💯 stairs to climb to our room (each way!!!) Considering our ages my partner being 71 and awaiting a knee replacement. I was a little shocked to say the least. When we got to our (very basic but clean) room, there were no tea/coffee facilities, no mini fridge and the shower was not a walk in one but one where you had to climb into a bath. Which wasn't easy for my partner. When I questioned re: fridge i was told they had been taken out of all the rooms this year!! Not good in 36-38 deg temps On a plus the views were amazing and all staff friendly and helpful(although no other rooms were available). Struggled and had to plan every day as we were climbing approx. 600 steps per day as well as all the walking we did

18/06/2025: Unfortunately, you're only paying for the location here. The hotel itself is dated, but the rooms are clean. The breakfast starts to get old after the first day; it was nothing special, unfortunately. You can either spend more money in Taormina for one of the higher-quality accommodations, or look for somewhere outside the city and drive there for a day. Restaurants nearby are also quite expensive, whereas you can find cheaper options in Taormina itself.

26/08/2025: 4-star resort hotels have no idea what this means. Let's start with the assumption that the building should be razed and rebuilt because it's old, unsafe, and dilapidated. The head of reception is a complete incompetent and highly recommended person, incapable of fulfilling that role. I had requested a room with an 80x80 shower from an agency, which would accommodate my son's disability, and was initially given a room with a 60x60 shower. I complained to this phantom head of reception, but after turning down a triple, I was given a double, which was obviously more dilapidated than the first, but at least it had a larger shower, so despite losing the extra money, I agreed and settled for it. On the second day, despite the fact that the 19th-century air conditioning wasn't working and was turned off at night, returning from the beach littered with cigarette butts, debris, litter, broken showers, etc., we found water leaking from under the door—obviously, even the old one—and water falling from the roof, a leak that wasn't clear whether it was clear or dark water. I went to reception and was told I'd have to change rooms again the next day. Dirty hallways, dirty walls, lamps straight out of a horror movie, the food was a nightmare. The NAS would have a lot of work to do. The guy in charge of the meat picks up the food that fell on the floor and puts it back in the middle of the rest of the cooked food. We're talking about all pre-cooked food that was reheated and reused for several days. On the third day, I went to the dirty pool in the morning, with floating masses of debris, waiting for the room change, which was supposed to take place at 4:00 PM. At 5:00 PM, having not been contacted by anyone, I went to reception and who did I find? Again, I asked the front desk manager how the new room was progressing and was told there were no rooms available. From that moment on, I was completely furious. I asked to speak to the manager, but he initially refused, then put me on the phone, telling me he wasn't in the building. I called the police, and the manager magically appeared and told me he'd change my room for another run-down one with a rickety balcony and a bathtub with windows that wouldn't close, beds that were so hard they hurt my back, and a different bracelet than the one I had. When I explained what I'd experienced from his front desk manager, he explained that he was the one giving those instructions, so since a manager doesn't know how to choose his employees well and doesn't know how to handle problems impeccably, he doesn't deserve to have customers, so I left the facility and decided to sue them. P.S. The bottles at the bar all had worn state monopoly labels, but strangely enough, they were all full. I presume the alcohol wasn't even original and was being sold at extremely high prices.

26/08/2025: My daughter and I stayed here for 10 days. All in all, we had a great time. The hotel was fine by Italian standards; basic but generally clean. The same goes for the food and drinks, which weren't spectacular but fine, with plenty of choice, something for everyone. If you're used to the luxury of Turkey or Egypt and you're expecting a 10-day sun, sea, and relaxation holiday here, you'll probably be a little disappointed. However, if you have realistic expectations and consider the value for money—because you want to experience the beauty of Sicily combined with relaxing on the beach—this is a really great hotel to stay in. Book an excursion, a taxi, or a car and go out; there's plenty to do on the island. The beach and the sea are beautiful, great for swimming. The rooms are basic but clean, and any issues are resolved. The food is simply fine, the all-inclusive drinks menu is limited, but it's definitely worth it. Regarding the staff, I would like to say to the manager: Appreciate and reward these people well, let them know how important they are because they truly make the difference. The overall hotel experience is significantly enhanced by the friendly bar staff and entertainment team, among others. Their enthusiasm, energy, and conviviality ensure that guests feel welcome and have a great time. Especially Melila (bartender at the beach bar) and Yannis (entertainment team); they are truly exceptional and worth their weight in gold.

03/07/2025: My husband and I had a great time, the owners and all the staff were welcoming, kind and generous. We spent, despite our big commitments, a stay with all the comforts, a good understanding and friendship was created, something very rare these days, I would recommend this hotel to everyone

29/06/2025: Terrible experience, we were passing through before returning home, we wanted to freshen up with a swim, we avoided the free beach because it was not equipped, searching we found this place that was better to avoid, they will definitely never see me again

27/06/2025: questo posto è perfetto per passare una giornata in famiglia, per rilassarsi e divertirsi, con schiuma party e musica fino a tardo pomeriggio. Il parco è super pulito , il cibo è ottimo, i prezzi sono accessibili a tutti , vi consiglio vivamente di trascorrere una giornata qui

24/06/2025: Terrible experience.. you don't even deserve a star.. I held my daughter's baptism and one year birthday on Sunday.. and they didn't tell me that you had to pay for the seasi.. and so I couldn't enter with my daughter or dance.. because they had paid for the other birthday girl (but they told us that the music was free) they brought us the cake when the place closed.. when the music stopped and when everyone left.. this place doesn't deserve anything.. because they treated me like a dog. And not even animals are treated like this.. never again 😚

21/06/2025: We arrived at the restaurant at 8:30 PM and found it already full. Although there were about ten waiters, only one was taking orders, which forced us to wait a long time before we could order. The appetizers arrived around 10:15 PM: a portion of chips, a panelletta, two mini arancini (one with butter and one with meat) and a small skewer. All in very small quantities and, up until that point, we had not even been served a drink. The pizza arrived only at 10:50 PM, with a choice limited to four variations, and still no drinks. Only after we managed, with difficulty, to track down the waiter in charge of the binite, were they finally brought to us. The staff seemed unprofessional and rude: even when called, the waiters ignored the requests. The pizza itself was not bad: the dough was good, the toppings sufficient, without excelling. We were there for a dance event, so the place knew in advance that it would host over 300 people. Despite this, they did not organize themselves properly to handle the influx. The place is large and well ventilated, but the overall experience was negative. It is the second time I eat here, and the first time we also had dinner very late, after 11 pm. I do not think I will return

13/06/2025: The horse meat sandwich was delicious. My girlfriend had the kebab, which was also very good, I recommend it. The only downside was the waiting time, which was a bit long.

07/06/2025: I don't know, I ordered a portion of meat and paid 12 euros for it, it seems a bit excessive but whatever!

18/08/2025: Excellent gluten-free arancini, but above all, great kindness and expertise from the girl who served us at the counter!

05/08/2025: It gets worse than this... The worst staff I've ever seen... About a year ago, a sales assistant was almost mimicking me while I was ordering... I didn't go in for a long time... I wanted to repeat the experience this morning... since I pointed out that I was ahead of a customer who was trying to climb over me, I got the rude reply from the customer like almost everyone in there and the eyeballs of a Camorra boss who I don't know who he was... tall man with white hair behind the ice cream counter... Badly frequented, terrible hygiene... Exactly, it's almost impossible to get worse...

26/05/2025: Customer of this bakery, I who am the woman who always gives everyone a chance, despite a clerk being grumpy and convinced that I am deaf and also stupid, was pissed off as always, and said to her colleague, it's always her... I mean it was always me who came in at 9.15pm.... the lady behind the counter doesn't know that I work twice as hard as her, if the lady doesn't know how to work behind the counter, let her find a government job.... that said.... for this reason many people I know don't go anymore... including my partner who doesn't want to set foot in anymore.... kindness is something you can't learn, you're born with it, and being in contact with the public is not for everyone.... too bad, many places lose customers because of the clerks....
