05/09/2025: The food was bland and the portions were small. The "burger" wasn't a burger, just a dry vegetable patty... that's all. I had the gnocchi with mussels, thank you, but they took away my desire for this dish so much that I'll never eat it again! Absolutely beyond reproach.

03/09/2025: Recommended by chatgpt, we came to this place attracted by the natural wines. Unfortunately, the selection was limited and mediocre, or perhaps the waitress who served us the wine wasn't the right one. Other than that, we ate very well, although the service was a bit slow. The waiters were helpful and friendly, however. The location is spectacular, and it perfectly enhances Scicli by night.

27/03/2025: Total scam. I should have known...cheapest cheese/ meat + drink combo price in town. The drink was decent. Meats and cheese were just out of supermarket package and did not look anything like picture. Smaller portion than pictured as well. At payment the dude tried to rip me off and ask for more than 7 euro. I should have just left when the meat and cheese platter did not match the picture. Will never go back!

03/09/2025: Love this hotel! I was a bit skeptical after the reviews, but the opposite was true! I received a fantastic welcome and was able to drop off my suitcase before check-in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and very spacious, luxurious-looking. The pool is lovely and quiet (they have a cleaning robot in there at night). If you want, you can just cross the road and be on the beach. The Wi-Fi works well, and the entire hotel is pleasantly cool. I would definitely come back.

19/08/2025: A simply shameful experience. I didn't think it was possible to encounter such a level of rudeness and discourtesy in a place that calls itself a "trattoria." We were greeted by what were supposed to be "waitresses," but who in reality turned out to be downright rude, lacking any manners, professionalism, or respect. Raised voices, rude responses, arrogant expressions: every request we made was met with annoyance, as if we were asking a personal favor and not paying for a service. The climax came when, faced with a simple question about the menu, we were met with arrogant and gratuitous rudeness. At that point, there was no reason to stay: we stood up and left indignantly. In all my years, I'd never left a place without even finishing my order, but here it was impossible to continue. In a trattoria, you expect a minimum level of warmth, friendliness, and customer service; Here, however, we were met with rude and uncouth staff who could barely express themselves in comprehensible Italian. An experience to forget and a perfect example of how a public establishment should never be run. I strongly advise anyone who values their time and their mood to stay away from this place: there are a thousand better options where at least the customer is treated with dignity. Here, however, the only thing that sticks in your memory is the arrogance and incompetence of those who should welcome you with a smile. I wouldn't go back even for free.

08/06/2025: Unfortunately, a disappointing experience. The Casale Firriato restaurant offers rustic dishes linked to Sicilian tradition, but the service was unacceptable. After serving the appetizers, we waited over an hour to receive the meat-based second courses. The restaurant was full and only the owner and his son were managing everything: too few to offer adequate service. There were many of us who brought portions to share that were not enough for everyone. The road to reach the restaurant is also uncomfortable and not very easy. It's a shame, because the environment has potential, but the organization absolutely needs to be improved. I do not recommend it.

27/07/2025: Ancient traditions of teasing customers: we ordered LINGUINE with clams, a seafood appetizer, and fried fish for two. We specifically asked for all the dishes at once because we had to wait for the pizza. SPOILER: The pizza arrived first. There must have been three batches, which we later discovered the owner didn't even know were on the menu. Two arrived with a burrata and three cherry mozzarellas, the third arrived with a discount mozzarella. Maybe they thought the third diner was stupid and wouldn't notice. SPOILER: He did notice. But back to the obviously frozen clams, and especially with EGG TAGLIATELLE. Perhaps they thought we weren't able-bodied enough to notice (we did). But the best part is the owner's genius, telling us that these are just homemade linguine, holding a package of pasta with the words EGG FETTUCCINE written on it. PURE POETRY Ah, the appetizer has arrived after all. A digestif, for example.

27/07/2025: I'll start by saying I didn't want to add anything to the reviews, which already speak for themselves. But then I read the restaurant's response to one of the latest reviews. It was a response to a negative critique, which stated, "It's the fault of those who raised you." And there I felt like I'd been catapulted into a dystopian spin-off of Quentin Tarantino's "Courtesy of Guests." The funny thing is, we thought we'd simply been unlucky... but then I read the other reviews. And it's a journey. A collage of similar experiences, where the pasta is bad, the service is terrible, and customers are treated like disobedient children in need of re-education. Infinite sadness. We are all protagonists of the same collective nightmare. My heart goes out to you, brothers and sisters at table 7. At the end of the evening, it was 10:30 PM and we hadn't had dinner. We went for a crepe somewhere else, and guess what? It was delicious. Warm, welcoming, quiet. No one yelled at us. No one insulted our manners. It seemed like a dream. I laugh so as not to go back.

03/05/2025: It is clear from this that reviews are for fools but justice must be done here. I celebrated my 39th birthday and it was one of the best I've ever celebrated. The owner of the house is a good man, he doesn't use French words AND IT DOES VERY GOOD because he doesn't make fun of you. Its answer lies in the quality of everything it offers you. 20/07/2025: Abbiamo cenato nella migliore trattoria di Lampedusa per tutta la settimana...devo dire che abbiamo degustato tutto il menù...e mi sento di affermare che è la migliore cucina di Lampedusa... personale molto gentile e disponibile, un locale adatto a tutti , famiglie,coppie,ricorrenze..ma la solarità di Carmen è un qualcosa di eccezionale..😘

20/07/2025: Il locale è davvero molto grazioso curato e il personale accogliente. Purtroppo il piatto ha totalmemte deluso le mie aspettative: lo spaghetto era scotto e frutti di mare mix tra vecchi congelati e andati a male... Avevo una gran fame e ho mangiato gli spaghetti sperando di lasciarmi poi il piacere dei frutti di mare alla fine e invece non ce n'era uno buono! Insomma una vera delusione ma più di tutto, quando l'ho fatto presente al personale, non c'è stato nessun tentativo di compensare la mancanza.

08/08/2025: I paid €11 for two granitas and three brioches (and already here...) and found myself eating a small glass of green-tinted ice (the pistachio one) and cinnamon ice (the almond one) accompanied by dry brioches. It's a shame they don't allow photos; the size of the glass was truly ridiculous. Never again.

01/08/2025: The Nuova Gelateria Bel Bon at Via G. Matteotti 218, Vittoria (RG) is a true taste sensation! Creamy artisanal gelato, authentic flavors, and quality ingredients that you can taste with every spoonful. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly and smiling. A must-visit for anyone who loves good gelato. Congratulations, we'll be happy to return!

21/08/2025: I had the pleasure of staying and dining at this delightful place and can't recommend it highly enough. The waiters are incredibly kind, always attentive and caring. The rooms are excellent, meticulously maintained, and super clean: I slept wonderfully. Breakfast was a special treat: warm, fragrant, and fluffy brioche col tuppo, paired with unforgettable granitas, one pistachio and one almond, both truly superb. For dinner, I tried two versions of swordfish: grilled, perfectly seasoned, and Sicilian-style, rich in authentic flavors. Kudos to the chef for the excellent quality and passion that shines through in her dishes. Special praise goes to the two young men and the young woman in the dining room: professional, polite, and always smiling, they made our stay even more enjoyable. A wonderful experience that I definitely want to repeat: I will definitely be back!

12/07/2025: Yesterday at Seby and Chiara's wedding, I encountered a couple of problems, the most serious of which was: I arrived at the restaurant, sat down, and was swarmed by flies. They kindly turned off the light, then I asked the waitress with the curly red hair if they could please change the plates, glasses, and silverware. She replied: You do it, I have other things to do than be rude. Regarding the food, the pizzas were good, too. If I have a ceremony like a birthday party or any other event, I prefer to go somewhere else.

02/08/2025: Truly shameful. We arrive and with a few empty tables and no one waiting, they don't let us sit at a table for two under the umbrella, muttering meaningless excuses, simply because they had no idea how to organize. The girl who supposedly had this list, instead of accommodating us and seating us, just makes us leave without apology. The organization and staff need to be reassessed.

28/06/2025: Intrigued by the presence of a section of vegetarian and vegan pizzas, I decided to try the section of this pizzeria on the occasion of the Thursday promotion in which the classic pizzas cost €5 and the special ones €7. Once they arrived I sadly noticed that these pizzas, the vegetarian and vegan ones, were not included in the promotion (because they do not fall into the "special" category, I deduce). But why categorize pizzas that, apart from the addition of vegetable cheeses (present only in some, or on request) are simple pizzas with vegetables? What is the difference between these and a green calzone (which is among the classics) and among the many others present on the menu in the classic and special sections? The "vegetarian" pizza itself is not part of this separate list, but it is among the classics (and is included in the promotion). It is clear that the "vegetarian/vegan" section was created for marketing reasons (and in fact, it worked: I placed the order first!) but that is precisely the problem. If you choose to promote yourself as a place that is attentive to the needs of those who follow a plant-based diet (with a page dedicated to the green proposal), excluding these pizzas from the weekly offers makes them "other", "different", and not an integral part of the menu. In this way, you penalize those who make a different ethical or dietary choice, and you betray the spirit of inclusiveness that a veg section should represent. My criticism is therefore not so much about the lack of transparency, as in fact if you refer to the mere title of the section it is right that vegetarian pizzas are not the object of the promotion, but the very choice behind this thing. A true veg-friendly menu should not be limited to a label, but should be fully integrated into the rest of the offer, promotions included, without therefore categorizing them separately as if they were "other". I repeat, the same pizzas could have easily been in the traditional sections of the menu (with possibly the surcharge for plant-based cheeses if requested). I write all this with regret, because the pizza was good, and I would have definitely ordered it again in the future, if I hadn't felt excluded instead of included. The goal of a veg-friendly menu should be to encourage the consumption of plant-based products even for those who are not vegetarian/vegan, but this is not the case and, in fact, in this way, it discourages it.

23/06/2025: I ordered two pizzas on justeat. One called for fried zucchini and instead it came with roasted zucchini. The other called for buffalo mozzarella and it came with a grainy cheese that didn't taste like buffalo. Last but not least, a hair stuck to the mozzarella. The only positive factor was the speed of delivery and the friendliness of the delivery boy.
