I discovered this place thanks to a colleague from Palermo and I had a great time, the food is varied and plentiful and the prices are affordable especially because the university is nearby and it is always a meeting place for students and professors, I recommend it for quick meals and good food

A good place near the university campus and the Di Cristina Children's Hospital, offering a good selection of delis and pastries. Ideal for a sweet or savory breakfast. They also offer lunch options in a seated area, though I haven't tried it. Parking is difficult.

🍊Arancine🍊
There are places that don't need to reinvent themselves to remain memorable: they just need to continue doing things right. Here, fortunately, the arancine are still the real thing. Crispy on the outside, golden brown, balanced, without shortcuts. Every bite tells a story of craftsmanship and respect for the original recipe.
In a world where quality is often sacrificed for speed or savings, this place remains a staple. The arancine aren't just delicious: they're the best in all of Italy, without exaggeration. You can taste the experience, attention to detail, and a certain determination to do things "the way they used to be."
There's a small sore point, however, inevitable but still noticeable: the price. In 2016, it cost €1.80 to take home one of these wonders; today, in 2026, it's €2.30. An understandable increase, considering the times, but one that doesn't go unnoticed, especially for those who have been loyal customers for years.
That said, the quality remains extremely high, and, ultimately, every euro spent is justified by the taste. Because when an arancina is truly well-made, it's more than just food: it's a small daily luxury that's still worth indulging in.

It has always been a point of reference for universities and hospitals. The only flaw is that it should be renovated. For everything else, it is highly recommended. Excellent food. Prices within everyone's reach. There is a tobacconist inside.

I was wandering around after Palermo Cathedral and pretending I know where I was going.
And then I thought why not go find a snack.
On the map, I saved the location but couldn’t remember what it was. But I went anyway.
It’s alittle out of the way, but it’s ok, Palermo is safe enough.
I went and it was quick service for Italians coming in and out buying a snack to go.
I was trying to figure out how to order and what is everything so I was just hovering.
The guy working behind the pastries counter took pity on me and helped me with the order. (Usually you pay at the counter then collect your food)
Thank god for that kind man or I will still be waiting there.
I randomly point to something cause I was already panicking and the guy told the counter how much and I went turn around to pay.
So I got this donut with cream and chocolate filling and it was HEAVEN. (My photo is ugly, I didn’t expect it to change my life)
The place is slightly chaotic with brilliant food. It really sums up how Palermo, chaotic and beautiful.
